Fantastic local place with decent beer selection and good food. This is an established place that has been around for years. I stumbled on this place since it is near where I live and was quite surprised. It is on a corner or a strip mall buried behind a few shops. Their daily specials on food are really quite good as is most their menu (mostly bar fare food, but some occasional local surprises too). I'm still working through the menu, but everything I have had from breakfast to dinner has been great. Only issue is the place can get loud at times with some fun loving people, but that is why you come to a place like this anyway - good food and fun times. read more

What a great place to go and enjoy some good times with friends. I love to go in the afternoon when the place is quiet and not so full off drinkers. The food is amazing...Steaks, burgers, burritos. This place has it all. Got a sports game you want to see? Odds are they will be showing it or will be more than happy to put it on one of their many flat screens. They have 2 bars so if one gets crowded, you hit up the other and it is almost like being in a different place. They have a ginormous patio with ample seating and a great cover so you don't get snowed or rained on. I can't say enough about the yummy food, really, it is delicious! Family owned and operated, great service, great fun. Pool tables, shuffleboard, and video games. no darts but who really wants to put pointy projectiles in the hands of drunks? They also have a dance floor for Friday nights and a DJ. You have to try one of their breakfast burritos, they serve them all day, you can get one as long as the kitchen is open. I've been frequenting Scooters for almost 8 years now. That right there should tell you how I feel about it. It is a great neighborhood watering hole. It doesn't look very big from the outside it sprawls a little bit once you walk through the door. You will see all kinds of people there depending on what time of day or day of the week you go. On fight nights it can get pretty packed in there pretty early so if you're going to watch UFC, get there early or be prepared to stand. The food is solid bar fare. I'm a fan of the green chili. I order if often with just a tortilla and I'm happy. They have taco Tuesday and daily specials. As of late Jeff and I have been heading for breakfast on Sunday mornings. I like their breakfast burritos and the breakfast sandwich. They have $2 bloody Mary's and screwdrivers as well. SWEET! They supply a well stock bloody mary bar too. The drinks are always strong and the staff is always friendly. It really is a place where they remember your name and your drink. Service was horrible. We got to the bar around 5:05. No one came to help us for 15 minutes. We had to ask the bartender if we could get some service. This girl Raquel comes over and takes our drink order. After about another 10 minutes of waiting she takes our order (it's about 5:30). After waiting about another half an hour we didn't receive our food. This guy delivers food to a table that was next to us (who arrived way after us) and we had to flag him down to see if he could check on our order. Only a couple of minutes after that - Raquel came over and brought our food. It was warm - but not hot so you could tell that it'd been sitting there for a while. You could tell that our onion rings were forgotten too (those came after we got our food when normally they come before.....go figure.....but at those were hot!!). Won't be going back to this place any time soon. At least the bartender was nice! read more

I love this dive bar. It's so divey and wonderful! I've met some interesting people here, the wait staff is also quite diverse and friendly....but the food....if they improved the food...they'd be rock stars! I have sent back more than one plate of food here because it was so dismal. Bar food isn't so hard...deep fry stuff...serve it hot and make your sauces and dips yummy. When fish and chips are coldish...and the tartar sauce is strange tasting...fail! The staff is always gracious. I'll be back.....just maybe not for the food. read more

My husband and I came for dinner last nite and we were UNHAPPY with the food. We ordered 2 fish and chips and it was nasty. It was like they took the fish out of the box and put it in the microwave. The fish was rubbery and there was more breading then there was fish. And the chips were from the bottom of the bag. We paid $30 and all the manager offered us last nite was 2 shots. If you live in Aurora, you know there isn't crap to choose from for decent bars. Scooters isn't all that, but it is decent... Open, good drinks/prices and the food is solid. I've been there 4-5 times, now, and the atomsphere has always been friendly and laid back, which goes a long way in my eyes. It's missing something... I'm not sure what, but it rises to the top of selection around the area, that's for sure. read more

WARNING LADIES: this used to be one of my favorite places to go until I got drugged and almost raped in the womans bathroom when the guy I feel put something in my drink followed me in the womens bathroom and trying to come in my stall . I went back the next day to talk to a manager to see if they could look at the tape and have yet to hear back from the managers or own . this happened the weekend of valentines weekend... spoke with a manager a couple of times and was told someone will contact me. This is a great place for good food, beer, watching the game, and a game of pool. We're new to the area and were afraid to go on at first because from the outside it didn't look great, but I'm glad we tried it. I got a Ruben sandwich with onion rings, and I was certain they'd be the pre-frozen kind, but they were definitely made fresh to order and the batter had chopped parsley in it for a great flavor to the already awesome crunch. The wings were okay, but the salad was awful and the Mexican platter was way too salty and the beef was gross. Went here tonight for a few happy hour drinks. Great place! Lots of locals hanging out. Definitely a dive bar, but clean and staff was friendly. Good drink specials and snacks. Didn't look through the dinner menu. I would definitely come back. Lots of space inside and surprisingly not crowded considering the proximity to 225. This place is cool if you know the people the work there. Like most with low ratings we sat for 20 minutes with no service, when I went to the bar to get our drinks it didn't seem to bother the bartender a bit. When we decided to leave she finally asked if anyone had come to talk to us. 5:00 on a Saturday with the bar half full is a weird time to not get service, especially when 3 servers walked right by us. But talking about how wasted they got last night was definitely more important. I don't know why we keep trying with this place. read more

I was going to this bar a lot (almost every day to play darts). Then I met Jessica the bartender\manager. The first time I met her was due to me standing at the end of the bar playing darts and mingling with my friends. She told me to get the f*** out of her way and not to be standing there anymore. The bar was not even that busy. Then, on a Thursday night my tab was a whopping 250 dollars and there was no way it could have been that. I let that slide. I did take it up with the owner and she called the head manager and had her come and talk to me. I just let it go at that point. Well, about a week later on a Saturday after closing out with the afternoon bartender with a 85 dollar tab(food and drinks) and 25 dollar tip (cause he is awesome). When she started serving us my tab became 130 dollars. I tried to tell her this isn't right and she got into my face and started to curse me. I paid the tab and left no tip. Now I am KICKED OUT OF THERE FOR LIFE when I have stopped fights there and we just mind our own business in the corner playing darts. So for everyone that gets screwed on you tab just pay it or you will probably be next on the cutting block. My friend has history there but apparently that does not matter. I believe Jessica had a vendetta against me which is fine but she is just losing them money. As a bar owner myself I believe in hearing out my customers before i throw them out. Maybe Scooters should take that into concern before they start losing tons of customers. However, there are over 200 bars in Denver so it really isn't that big of a deal. Just had to vent since I was done wrong. Praise god for the freedom of speech which unlike Jessica I fought for for 9 years. read more
