The food here is so good! I had the grilled chicken caprese sandwich. The downside was the server was alone. So it took a while to get service.

Specialty cocktail

Rustic, cozy bar and restaurant inside the Doubletree Hotel in Aurora. FYI a jackdaw is a small black crow. Great happy food -3 selections at just $5 each. Friendly, attentive staff. Will return!

We had such a lovely experience. Luis was the person whom helped us and delivered exceptional customer service. People like him make us feel welcomed and not miss home so much! Forgot to mention, their cocktails are amazing!!!!

Colorado mule, French Fries and salad. Fantastic service everyone was so happy to help. Just arrived and was looking for a drink and food. So thankful we decided to stay and eat in. French fries are delicious and drink's happy hour price. Service was great thanks to the young man who helped us ! Thanks Joseph

This my one Bias rating . I am a big scotch Whiskey / Bourbon fan . Their Whiskey and Bourbon game is off the hook. Nice!!!! Because of that alone I give four star. My server was Joseph a five star sever . Great attitude and conversation. Their menu was not the full menu if you order the chicken wings order them extra crispy . I order the RoastBeef and fries with out bacon . It's alright.

Huevos rancheros

Good morning breakfast buffet plus a great menu selection, huevos rancheros is what I had and it was very good.

Lovely Day Martini with Guinness, Ketelone, and Marble Moonlight espresso. The Jackdaw made with Jameson, sweet vermouth, orange bitter

We stumbled on this place and I am SO glad we did. Located in the hotel lobby, this restaurant and bar is very inviting. We sat at the bar and were served immediately. Super fast service and helpful with suggestions. I tried a martini cocktail made with Guinness beer. Sounds weird right? It actually was truly amazing. While we were sitting at the bar we glanced over the food menu and couldn't get past the scotch eggs. I had never had scotch eggs and they sounded interesting. We had to order them. Once they arrived, I was breath taken. They looked so beautiful. On top of their beauty, they tasted fantastic. I have now fallen in love with scotch eggs and Jackdaw. I will be back to try many other things on the menu and eat more scotch eggs.

I love you Jackdaw you make the best steak (I ate it before I could take a picture...) and plus these DELICIOUS profiteroles (pic included lol). Also, the people who work here are just so consistently lovely

This is for service only, as I walked on before ordering!! They hire folks and obviously don't train just basic customer service.

We had a reservation for 5:00 and we got seated at a table on the patio. We luckily were early enough to make it in time for their happy hour menu which had some great choices on it. For our starters we had the curtido chopped salad, with grilled cabbage and beets 7.5/10. We also had the butter lettuce and tarragon which was very good 8/10. For our first appetizer we had the sea island red peas and cauliflower, very good, loved the cauliflower 8.3/10. We also had the burger and fries from the happy hour menu. The burger was cooked well, 8/10, a little too much sauce but homemade ketchup and homemade bun, it's hard to go wrong. If anything the patty was a little thin, but the fries were great and crispy 8.5/10. For our entrees we had the roasted half chicken 7/10. The sauce was just alright and the first piece of chicken was a little dry but the rest of the slices were very good. We also had the pork tenderloin tournedos, pretty straight forward, great prunes and potatoes 7.5/10, the sauce made the dish. Nothing caught our eye for dessert, however we were pretty full and there are a lot of great dessert options at Stanley Marketplace. We enjoyed our time here and will look forward to coming back in the future!

I asked for a veggie and she said no they could t do that and our only option was for bread

The staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable if you can describe to them what kind of wine you want and like. As for the bruschetta, like I mentioned, they are all good, even the ones that aren't my personal preferances they stiill aren't bad, but my absolute favorite is the artichoke. I usually get two of them because it is so creamy and delicious. I also like the salami a lot, probably my second, and the lox/salmon is good, too. PS, you can also recork your bottle if you aren't a pro wine drinker for the board & bottle special. It's truly a no-brainer for the price to go ahead and get that bottle and 4 slices for a mere $25. I've tried a few other things here, as well, I can't say anything bad! And the place is often packed so that says a lot.

I've visited each one around the Denver Metro area, and I love their level of consistency, but also staying unique. Recently, some friends and I stopped in for a happy hour drink and some small bites. The weather was warm so we sat out on the patio and once the sun, our waiter turned the heaters on to keep it comfortable. Everyone enjoyed their food and for the most part, the wine choices were on point as well. The one drawback I would say was our service was not the most attentive. Our server also did not know much about the wine choices, but having had very different experiences at other restaurants I think this may have been a one off situation.

We arrived for lunch on a Wednesday, ordered & paid at the bar then found a table. Our food was brought out to us. The staff was friendly & personable. I had the Mexican Street Corn Dip, French Onion Soup & the Harvest Salad. The dip was delicious... it was made with sweet corn, chipotle mayo, lime cream, cotija, hot Cheeto dust, cilantro & served with chips. However, I would have liked it a little more spicy. The soup was classic comfort food at it's best. It had caramelized onions in a savory rich broth, topped with gooey melted Swiss cheese & a toasted baguette, it was fantastic. And just as wonderful was the salad, made with squash, walnuts, dried cherries, green apple & goat cheese tossed in a great vinaigrette. This was a fun lunch with terrific food!

Philly Cheese Steak was very flavorless, only marginally helped by some salt. Ambiance - cool building. Also, they include a 3% kitchen appreciation fee. For more than $70 (without tip) for a couple sandwiches and cocktails, it's very much overrated.

My only recommendation for next year is to try and locate the outside tent band where there is more stable parking lot to dance. There were a lot of broken Asphalt areas, pot holes, uneven concrete, and tricky downslopes which made the dance area quite treacherous. There were a lot of people trying to dance around these hazards so not a safe situation. I saw one guy trying to do an Irish Jig and he fell into one of the pot holes and was slow to get up. My food order varies, but I do love their fries, and their ranch dressing ain't bad either. The Falafel Wrap is really good for an Irish place. The Grilled Cheese is phenomenal, even without the bacon. The Beer Cheese soup is also excellent without the bacon, actually. They also have White Bean Chili that is vegetarian (vegan possible), which I have tried but found too spicy for my taste. They also have Seitan Wings... I love them and get them often, but they are more like seitan nuggets than wings. Easier to eat though IMO. Chad's had many of the meatier fare, but he'd have to tell his own story on that subject. For dessert, the Bread Pudding is to DIE for! Thankfully, it's also quite filling, so I rarely end up eating it all. If you love 'Pub Vibes', definitely check this place out! If you aren't into a noisy bar/pub atmosphere, probably don't come here on a weekend or most weeknights. With the lively chatter and sometimes live music, it lives up to the Irish Pub name!
