This is a really cute spot for some ice cream, boba, shaved ice, or even specialty drinks like the "Halo Halo" drink I ordered and more. It's filled with a lot of yummy ingredients. Delicious! Took my kids and mom to this place to enjoy a sweet treat. I've been wanting halo-halo (Filipino deliciousness) for a long time. Found this gem when I literally looked up halo halo in the Phoenix area. Super friendly staff. Great place to grab some sweets and desserts. My wife (Filipina from Phillipines) and I were surprised to find a great shop like this in AZ. We come from WA and Filipino cuisine and desserts are now everywhere. Since we were contemplating moving here, we thought it would be good to locate a new one in AZ. First, the place is owned and operated by someone who cares. She asks each of her customers after a warm greeting if they have been to her business. Just a rare amount of caring that is much needed in this crazy Covid times. It would be like walking into your aunties house. She has a wide variety of ice creams but her Taho (Taro flavored) is out of this world! The tofu us warm and silky and a lot of good sago/boba with a perfect amount of brown sugar for sweetness. I was sooooo goood... that I had to order one doe myself after my wife "jacked" me. And we polished it off with some Halo Halo... a popular Filipino version of shaved ice. We will definitely be back. Found the gem by my place! My wife and I just moved from Chicago and Found cute little ice cream shop by my Church. The staff that works at this place are super nice and have great customer service. Filipino desserts are my wife's favorite! Loves that stuff, so I go there weekly to get her something sweet. So far she has tried everything from Halo Halo, sagu, flan, Ube Cake, Bubble tea and many options on the menu. This is a must try place and you will not be disappointed. read more

There's only like 3 places my husband and I would drive out to Phoenix for from the East Valley and Scooptopia is one of them. :) I am so happy that there's a Filipino desserts spot in such a fun area of Phoenix. They seriously serve the best halo halo in town! I have yet to go and try their taho, and I'm sure it's just as good. They also have the best customer service ever! This was our first time here we were in the neighborhood and we have been to Scooptacular in Laveen. They do carry their ice cream I am not sure if this is a second location or if they just partner with them. They do have a wide selection of ice cream, boba, snoh.... Which is what I was actually wanting but they were out of small and medium snoh cups and only had large which my hubby and I had just had lunch so we weren't wanting anything that big. We opted for the raspberry pomegranate sorbet... 2 scoops which just under 7 bucks... honesty I couldn't remember if that's about what it cost at Scooptacular or not but seemed a bit steep with the amount we had. My reasoning for 4 stars opposed to 5 was that it was actually pretty warm in there, our ice cream/sorbet was actually even slightly melted not sure if it was cause of how warm it was in there or what, but we opted to sit outside since it was so hot. I don't live in this area and am rarely in that area but if I was and wanted some ice cream I would give it another shot. read more

Made it in about 30 minutes before close, and after waiting 20 minutes for the line to clear, we arrive at the counter only to hear they are not making any of the things we wanted. Disappointed, we left. Why staff your place with one person to close on a Friday night. The lone girl working had such great vibe and smile, so this rating has nothing to do with her or the yummy looking desserts. read more

I have found my go-to place for sweets, specifically halo halo. My goodness, the presentation and substance in my drink has done justice to my palate. It had so much of the flavorful ingredients that you have in a halo halo drink and more. The ube, buko panda, and flan what makes it so delicious. It was around $6 and well worth it. It's located in a strip mall and by the rails so it would be hard to miss. It's a great place to meet up with people for a variety of drinks and sweets. Will definitely will be back! read more

I love this place so much! the food, service, and the whole place is so adorable! i really like how they sell snacks there aswell. I usually buy the guava shaved ice with the play dough ice cream and it is so delicious! the shaved ice is perfectly made, and the ice cream id so yummy! the ice cream is so good, Cookie Monster is a really good flavor aswell! the drinks arrive super fast, and employees are so kind! We had just had dinner and were craving something sweet; we saw their sign and decided to stop in. We were greeted with smiling faces and we felt so welcomed! We tried a few flavors. I decided on the Vernonni(sp?) it was a coffee flavor - delicious! My boyfriend had the Unicorn Poop he loved it and made the comment "if someone never had ice cream before, I would have them try this flavor." All of their ice cream is made locally here in Phoenix and their flavors are so creamy and delicious. If you're in the area, definitely stop in (especially if you have a sweet tooth)! Been here twice for the halo halo and love it! I'm so glad there's an Asian-inspired dessert spot that is so close by. The GM here is super nice. I love being able to sample ice cream and drinks. But let's get to the good stuff - the halo halo is amazing. It's made fresh by hand when you order, so it's not a premade concoction sitting in a freezer. If it was socially and fiscally acceptable to get one every day, I totally would. But I'll stick to getting it as a treat here and there. There's everything from red bean, to ube ice cream, egg pudding, beans, coconut jelly, etc. that make it taste authentic and homemade. The small is a good size equivalent to a short milk shake. The large is pretty huge, looks double the size of the small. Both sizes have all the toppings proportionately. They also have little treats like Pocky available for purchase. Go try it out! The quality is great, and the price point is fair. Makes it that much better, yum! read more

My friends and I went today, a typical hot Phoenix summer day; what better time to try out a place that serves cold treats, right? The very friendly folks staffing the place let us try a variety of the ice cream and sorbet flavors - all very good ... and definitely the ube (purple taro) ice cream is a must-try! I ordered the all-time Filipino cold dessert favorite, halo halo. The Filipino word "halo" means mix, and indeed this refreshing item consists of shaved ice, milk, and a mixture of different kinds of Filipino dessert items such as kaong (sweet palm fruit), garbanzo beans cooked in syrup, ube jam, flan, and more; all of this is topped with ube ice cream. Needless to say, it's a pretty heavy dessert item but so good. This ice cream shop is really a sweet delightful place and so conveniently located too: it's on Central Avenue across the street from the St. Francis Parish Church, near the Camelback / Central Avenue stop of the light rail. read more

I stopped by Scooptopia by chance while I was in the area. The Yelp photos of the Halo Halo looked too tempting. If I'm going to be honest, it was my first time ever having one, so I'm not sure if my opinion counts, but I'd have to say it was absolutely delicious. I'm a big fan of shaved ice and have been seeing many different cultural versions of it. This Filipino version, while not served with shaved ice (I think it's crushed), was filled with a variety of ingredients. It had ube ice cream, sweet beans, coconut, sago, flan (which idk if it was homemade but it was soooo good), and much more. I wish they had a location in Chandler, but for now, if I'm in the area again, I'll make a stop! read more

I went as soon as I read the article in AZ Central that they'd opened! Of course I went for the Halo-Halo, one of my favourite Filipino desserts ever. Their Special Halo-Halo had ALL the ingredients that every awesome Halo-Halo should have - coconut jelly, jack-fruit, flan, sweet beans, ube ice cream, etc. It tastes refreshing and delicious, and it's absolutely authentic. You get 3 generous scoops of ube (taro) ice cream too! Y-U-M. Aside fro the Halo-Halo, there are loads of various ice-cream flavors which I will have to try when I go next time. As an added bonus, the owners are super friendly and very welcoming. They've just opened, but if you go and there are tons of people, my only advice is just be patient. Found this amazing little place one night while on the hunt for a new dessert place. AMAZING!!! The Halo Halo I had was the best ever. All the ingredients were so fresh and the Ube ice cream was so flavorful and the texture was incredible. We also tried the shaved ice. This place serves the closest thing I have ever had to genuine Hawaiian shaved ice. They add ice cream and the sweet cream making it behind delicious. The customer service was outstanding and they were so friendly. I think I have found my new spot! read more

The best thing about this ice cream shop are the different flavor selections. I had the choco chili which was a nice kick for chocolate ice cream. The place is tucked back off central and is small. It appears to have a great following and was busy on a Saturday night. I wasn't wowed that this was the best ice cream in Phoenix, but it was deserving of 4 stars. read more

Ohhh so very yummy desserts! Try them all! We had the taro soy bean curd, halo halo, and some ice cream. Definitely check out this place! Workers are friendly. However, there is very limited seating inside. Thankfully there are a couple of benches sprawled throughout this shopping cove, so you may enjoy your dessert out here! read more
