This was my first day in AZ and wanted some dessert and found this place on the maps nearby so I went to go check it out since it was highly rated and the ice cream that I have tried there in this photo was all amazing, I definitely would recommend to anyone that wants different flavored ice cream that you can't find in stores. read more

Not a bad spot if you're craving ice cream! As a disclaimer, I did not visit the store in person, nor have I tried the halo-halo, so I'm unable to comment on those. I ordered some ice cream from here through Grubhub and it came cold, creamy, and tasty. I liked the cookies and cream flavor, which was fresh! Unfortunately they ran out of the strawberry flavor, and they ended up substituting it with strawberry + cheesecake (it was roughly the same, it just had cheesecake chunks in it). I appreciated them calling me first to confirm that I was ok with the change, and they wrote an apology on the delivery bag containing my food, which was quite sweet. Overall, I would come back to have more of the ice cream, as the service and food were both great! read more

I scream... you scream.. we all scream for ice cream! I had just finished dinner and was craving something sweet. There were a few spots for ice cream & I'm so happy I went with scooptopia and tried something new! I was helped by the owner who was just the sweetest person ever. Her customer service was 100! Allowed me to try all the flavors and they do not skip out on hooking you up with ice cream. I went with the cheesecake and horchata flavors... OMG YUM!! The ice cream was just so creamy and good! I stumbled across this place and figured a sweet treat would be nice. The staff was very friendly. They welcomed us at the door and offered us samples and told us a little about what they serve. I tried the oatmeal and blueberry cheesecake and my boyfriend got the mango tango. They were all delicious! They have lots of unique flavors and a wide variety of treats. Prices were a little bit steep but to be expected as ice cream shops can be a little costly. I'd definitely like to go again and see what other seasonal flavors they'll have. read more

My friends and I wanted some dessert and we stopped by after looking it up on yelp. This place used to be a wedding cake place and I remember coming here to do my cake tasting. We were greeted by the staff upon entering. They had a variety of desserts from ice creams, bobas and specialty desserts. I ordered the Halo Halo and my husband got the Thai tea. I thought the Halo Halo was good. I love all the different components of the dessert but wished they put more of the taro ice cream. We were not a fan of the Thai tea. They are super nice and helpful here! I was a first time customer and they gave me helpful opinions so I could choose a flavor. I went for a boba drink, mango with strawberry popping boba. I've never used a paper boba straw so that was cool they had that. My drink was a little too sweet for me, but I think that was just my personal preference. I was on a mission to find halo halo on our stop in phx. The one they make at scooptopia is beautiful, just not the proportions I'm used to. Halo halo is difficult because everyone's got their preferences for sure, so every family makes it totally different. Lots of ice, missing creamy goodness and more of that purple deliciousness that is ube ice cream. If you're a lover of the textured ice and jelly preserves this is gonna be your jam. It satisfied my craving but I also stopped at the market before getting home to pick up more ube ice cream. read more

I found this hidden gem on yelp and decided to try something different. We did visit the location, during the takeout only services and the owner greeted us with such enthusiasm and was so nice. She explained all the items on the menu, told us a little about their specialities and ultimately we ended up with the Thai tea and Halo Halo! We have since been back and brought our family to enjoy! They loved it and this is by far one of my favorite dessert places. I heard about this place from a friend and how they have the best Halo Halo in Phoenix. I may not be the best point of reference because I only had Halo Halo once or twice in my life so I don't know if I had the best baseline. Upon walking in the shop, I was warmly greeted by the workers. I was the only one in the shop and get offered to answer any questions I had. They have a vast array of ice cream. They do not make their own ice cream but buys from a local ice cream supplier. If you want options for both traditional and slightly different flavors, I definitely recommend coming here. Additionally, they have shave ice and other specialty desserts, like Halo Halo. I ordered the Halo Halo and eating it was like a party in my mouth. So many textures and flavors in one dessert. No component was too sweet or an odd texture. It all worked together really well. Overall, it was a balanced dessert. The dessert comprises of shave ice, jellies, beans, nuts, and a cookie straw. The best part? The taro ice cream! It was flavorful and rich! I would go back just for the ice cream! I don't even really know all of the ingredients but I just remember it being really good. The dessert was around 6 dollars, which I was totally fine with because it goes to supporting local businesses. Stopped by this dessert place this past weekend and surprised that they have more than just desserts. Check out their website for the awesome list of desserts such as Halo-Halo, shaved ice, ice cream, and more. Filipino-owned and they are about to step it up. Famous Bulalo, Tagaytay-style, is coming as the owner/current management was reared from there. Service was great, price is fair, and the place is clean. What a gem!!! My boyfriend and I visited this spot with his aunt after it came up as a yelp suggestion. We were warmly greeted by the owners who were so kind (Filipino people are always very warm and welcoming)! We knew before going in that we wanted to order their special halo halo, but were pleasantly surprised to see they also started offering Taho (Filipino dessert with soft tofu, brown sugar syrup, and tapioca balls) and Sago Gulaman (Filipino grass jelly drink)!!! We ordered all three and they were ALL SO GOOOD. My boyfriend is Filipino so I've had my share of Filipino cuisine and these desserts were one of the best I've had! For the taho we tried the taro flavor which I've never seen before and it's a must try! And the sago gulaman is the perfect refreshment on a sunny day. We also got a pint of their local made ice cream to take home (they have so many unique flavors) and some cookies!!! Trust me there were more things we wanted to try but we'll just have to wait for next time since we got so much haha. Stopped by with my little one after dinner on a Sunday evening. The staff is so warm and kind. I didn't think I had enough small bills to pay and was rummaging through my bag to find change and the girl assisting me was about to use her tip money to pay the difference which was so nice but I didn't let her because she earned those tips The selections is quite vast here, both for ice cream and shaved ice flavors. The prices are reasonable, less than other places I've seen and, I have to say, the cotton candy flavor was actually amazing and not overdone like it can be. I'm am definitely coming back. 10/10 recommend. My daughter loved it!!! read more

Had the best halo-halo I have had in ages this past weekend. THE. BEST. It was perfect: not too sweet and no skimping on ingredients. Found Scooptopia after seeing a post about it on the AZ Asian Chamber of Commerce's instagram. We came here just for the Halo-halo and the ube ice cream-- they were both great! They also have lots of different flavors of ice cream and shaved ice. The space itself was clean and even had a kids' room where kids could play games and watch movies. Service was great and the owners were very nice. Definitely our new go-to Halo-halo place. read more

Rating 3.5 TLDR: If youre looking for halo-halo, come here. However, don't be too surprised, it tastes like any other halo-halo. So, its really up to what youre craving. Please keep in mind, this rating is based solely off my order halo halo, and not a rating for their other desserts. Not TLDR: Its been a while since I've had some Filipino dessert; specifically halo-halo. Where I live now, there isnt halo halo. So, when I found out that this place had this, my wife and I had to check it out. We drove from Tempe to this little hole in the wall, and it was the perfect time for desserts since it was still pretty warm. We arrived, and got their signature dessert: halo halo. It was good, but nothing amazing. It did satisfy both our cravings though. The service was impeccable, and the other desserts looked great. However, I have to give it 3.5 stars for their most reviewed item; which left me unimpressed. Based on other reviews, I have no doubt the other desserts are good. Give this place a try based on the other reviews; however, if youre looking for a mind blowing halo-halo, come knowing that it tastes like the rest. Good but not AMAZING. read more

Beef Stew with egg noodle - Bo Kho Mi - good! On a different occasion, pre order same day. Bought a total of 18 mix Vietnamese dessert (Che) and was charged for 20. In and out transaction, take out. All dessert were freshly made but the lids all popped off during transport. Their POS system isn't efficient. Boss lady running it doesn't care about quality. Just pay and leave.
