Not the greatest bakery but still not the worst. It was a little overpriced for the quality of the food but there were decently large portions. We got the blueberry scone and the blueberry coffee cake and there wasn't anything special about either. It was mostly just crumbly bread with blueberries in it. Not impressed read more

This place makes me love scones again! At a time when little businesses are disappearing, I was so happy to rediscover this place around my neighborhood!! This is just a tiny, quaint bakery, near koa pancake house. If you are coming up waialae ave, it's on the same street as coffee talk. there's meter parking available. The scones here are light and fluffy, and not too sweet. My favorite ones are blueberry and apple cinnamon. If you have a tiny craving, they do sell smaller scones. Although there are other delicious looking confectioneries, I keep coming back for the scones. Warning: I would recommend limiting how many you buy-- because if you overbuy, you will consequently overeat. Addicting, but so satisfying when you have a slight sweet tooth. If you go right after they open, the scones are nice and hot. If you go near closing time, the scones are wrapped up in little variety packs and are discounted. Perfect if you wanna bring to work the next day, but are budgeting. read more

It's absolutely delicious. My favorite is lemon and lilikoi bar but guava and chocolate scones taste great as well. It is our go to bakery and I would highly recommend to anyone who likes small pastry. On top of that this place is very inexpensive! read more

This is only for the scones....they were okay....i read a yelp review that they were comparable to diamond head...i guess my batch was really dry and needed salt. I like how they have mini versions of scones. At the time they didn't have lilikoi bars so I'll hafta stop in next time for that. read more

I love sconees! This place has a large selection of scones and breads. I love the blueberry cream cheese scones and the lilikoi bars. This place is takeout only and cash only. read more

My blueberry square hardly had any blueberries- have you seen the movie CASINO when Robert Deniro gets a blueberry muffin and compares it with another muffin- same situation... plus my $13.09 custard pie for Thanksgiving tastes like cooked eggs - not good like before.... read more

Dessert anyone? The sweets at Sconees are out of this world. The scones are one thing, but the bars are what bring me back here time and time again. If your sweet tooth is calling, the lilikoi or guava bars here usually do the trick, and if those don't float your boat, there are lemon and blueberry to choose from. Go on a sugar adventure and head over to Sconees, they are bound to have something you just can't resist. read more

Sconees Bakery - Blueberry Bars - Bakeries Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Went at 2:30 pm last week and lady there was bagging half price blueberry scones for the day. Bought 4. Delicious . Went yesterday and lady was bagging the scones for half price but said cannot sell till after 3 pm. So go after 3 pm for this bargin read more

This place is so good. Amazing fresh baked goods. I don't like scones but t this place has the best fruit pockets they are little tarts. The guava bars are also amazing. The only downside is no parking. You have to find meter parking . read more

I ordered the guava bar and lilikoi bar and they are amazing. Definitely worth the $1.35 price. They're way better than cookie corner's baked fruit bars. The crust is perfect: buttery, rich, not too sweet, and crisp on the bottom. The filling is full of flavor and smooth--also not too sweet! This business has been in kaimuki for a long time and it's awesome to see them keeping up with the newer bakeries coming in. read more

Hole in the wall bake shop that I've been coming to for years. It's a great place to go to if you have to pick up something real quick for the office or the nurses on the unit. Don't expect high quality scones like diamond head grill bakery. These are lighter. I'm a carbo-holic so I love the taste and consistency of these too. Their chocolate cake looks super plain but it is soooooo moist and it tastes so delish! Be sure to speak up and ask for that center piece. Its way better than their corn bread. The lemon and lilikoi bars are decent. They don't accept credit cards. Cash and carry! read more

Cute, old school bakery, just off of Waialae. I've tried various scones, cheese pockets, mini quiche, chocolate cake and the lilikoi bar. All have been tasty and reasonably priced. The last time we went the lady was a bit abrupt, but once we ordered, she was really nice and threw in an extra custard pie for free (b/c it was from the day before). Overall, a nice place to stop by during a Saturday stroll through Kaimuki! read more

my rating is based on their bars... NOT their scones. The scones here are terrible. if you want good scones go to diamond head grill... trust me, those bad boys are pricey but well worth it, not like scoonees where it's dry and alright. it's not their specialty. Their bars there are oh my lord good. if i close my eyes i can actually smell the fruity tartness. You need to try their lemon bars or the lilikoi bars. The guava one is good but trust me, the other two will blow the guava bar right out the park. The crust thats made from the bars are perfect and if they're super fresh the top layer of the bar has a slight :::crisp::: when you bite into it. trust me, no scones, just bars at this place. :) read more

awesome! we pick these scones up on the way to my school! always get the blueberry & chocolate chip scones! THE. BEST.

Ooh, this place is great. My co-worker brought scones from this bakery to a meeting we had and I fell in love with their whole wheat scones. read more

I feel like I was really failed by Yelp reviews with this place. I've been there twice now and have tried an array of their baked goods, and I feel ripped off. Not because the price was high, (the prices are quite low), but because I went off 4 star Yelp reviews and this bakery is just blah. I first visited Sconees about a month ago. I had just visited the Chocolate & Vanilla bakery right next door and had purchased some goodies there (which by the way were fabulous), and I figured why not and went into Sconees next. It was towards the end of their day so I ended up getting a bag of croissants at half price (score!), two brownies, and a couple of scones in assorted flavors. The croissants were ok, though it's the first time I've thought too much butter was used in that pastry. The scones were alright, though a bit dry which is really surprising since scones are their "specialty". But the brownies...wow...awful. I couldn't get through even one, and it wasn't because it was too big. The presence of chocolate flavor was barely there, they were extremely dry, and just incredibly bland. Had I been blindfolded, a brownie would be the last thing I thought I was eating. Overall a very disappointing trip. Yesterday I decided to go again. I figured maybe if I hit them in the morning when they first opened their product would taste better. (Though it's pretty sad if a bakery's product tastes worst throughout the day.) I bought a blueberry sour cream scone, a cream puff, and a huge piece of chocolate cake that looked delicious on the tray. Sad to say, Sconees did not deliver once again. The scone was very dry and I actually choked while eating it. No amount of milk was going to help get that down. I three most of it away. The cream puff looked yummy and reminiscent of my youth, and that's where the happy memory stopped. The pastry was hard and dry and not at all like what a cream puff should taste like. The only good part was the actual cream. I couldn't get past the second bite. The texture and dryness was too much. By this point I was pretty annoyed. I was saving the chocolate cake for after dinner, but to be honest I did not have high hopes. And sure enough, it tasted like the brownie. Not very Chocolatey and very bland in flavor. I don't know how cake can look moist and delicious and be that DRY and BLAND, but they figured out the trick. At this point I will definitely not be back. And shame on you Yelp for misleading me. Either people are talking up this place to make their review points better, or everyone in Kaimuki has lost their tastebuds! I'll be sticking with Chocolate & Vanilla bakery next door in the future. read more

biscuit-like scones appeals to this girl, for sure! i like the heaviness and the moistness of the scone as i bite into it. my faves are the raisin and the apple. i usually opt for the mini's because they are actually still decently sized (approx. 2.5" dia.). i tried the haupia bun and the custard bun, too. both fillings are mildly flavored with the haupia being a bit on the gelatinous side. i was expecting a more creamy consistency. regardless, it was tasty in the sweet roll. ditto for the custard. the banana cake was mediocre because a lot more freshly mashed bananas would have given the cake a much heartier banana flavor. the chocolate cake, on the other hand, was fantastic and had just the right amount of chocolate flavor so that one is not overwhelmed with chocolate rather the chocolate flavor subtly seeps out as you chew. oh, so good!! they accept credit cards now. AND if you go after 3:15p on weekdays the goods are 50% off! now THAT'S appealing to my pocketbook! :) read more

Awesome place to eat on the go! The scones, the bars, the quiche......nothing but complete decadence!

Cheese pockets are phenomenal! Scones are buttery crispy goodness and great for office gifting!

Cash only... Lilikoi and the blueberry bars were pretty good. Could've been more flavorful. Carrot cake was decent... It was moist but the frosting was weak and the ratio of frosting to cake wasn't proportionate... read more

Went there on Easter Sunday for a chocolate scone. When I got there was already empty on shelf, they had more in the oven and I got the last three. Its best to phone in advance to see what they have available. If you have a large order best to call a day in advance. Very nice lady that works there. First time to eat the scones right out of the oven. Try to get there early because they sell out of the popular items soon. read more

Best scones EVER!! Perfectly baked so the outside is a perfect crust while the inside is still fluffy.

i love the scones from this place. sooo buttery. i have to admit i've never been to the location but everytime we have some sconee's scones in the office i am on them like clotted cream and jam. good harvest's scones are good, but sconee's are perfect! read more

I've tried many scones and this one is by far, the absolute best! The blueberry scones are the best! People who never ate scones, you need to know that this is not a sweet doughnut type of pastry. It's kind of like a sweet biscuit and it goes so perfectly with your coffee or tea! read more

Everything is baked fresh daily. I love this place. People complain about bad service hello its a little old lady. Give her a break at times this place is busy. Remember one day you will be old too. I love this place. Good food and good people and a great price. We hardly have bakeries like this anymore. read more

Guava bar- my husband loves these. It's a little to dry for my taste and once in a while the crust is a little burnt tasting and sometimes barley any guava filling/ topping. The little apricot pastry is ok. Customer Service- ok read more

Awful, awful, awful! Sales lady is rude and grouchy! I will never go here again! I came in one afternoon and there was a bird flapping inside the pastry display case! I couldn't believe it! Yuck!!! read more

I used to go to the Pearl City location a lot till they closed down. The scones were tasty and the service was always friendly! Went to Gecko's this afternoon and noticed that Sconees Bakery was up the street. Went in and saw that the case was empty and the scones all bagged up (they were prepping to close). Lady behind the case was very rude and huffy-puffy when she asked what I was looking for. Hey, I understand that you're getting ready to close but, you're not closed yet! I know what's it's like to close up but that's no reason to be snippy. Your customer service will ALWAYS overshadow the best product that you may have. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. 2 stars only because the scones are just as delicious as I remember! read more

went here today for (i can't believe) the first time! mmm i love scones. i got there at 6:10 (they open at 6) and had my pick of the delicious treats that they offer. picked up a few blueberry, choc chip, peach and a whole wheat blueberry. i got the scones in the mini size which i think is the perfect amount of scone! :D the minis are like $1.15 i think and the regulars are $1.95. they're a good option for a lighter type snack. remind me of tea scones! :) i tried the blueberry whole wheat one and considering i don't usually like whole wheat, this was delicious! i liked how the wheatiness gave it an interesting texture that's slightly different than the normal ones. will def be back again to try the lemon and guava bars!! :D parking's not super great in this area (esp street) but there's a metered lot that usually has a few spots open (depending on when you go) and a paid lot across the street. read more

I'd give this place a 3.5 if I could. Guava and Lilikoi bars were flavorful and yummy. Scones were ok, not anything spectacular or out of the ordinary. One thing that I didn't like was that they only took cash. This would have been OK except for the fact that they have NO signs indicating so. Why would you NOT have a sign that says, "Cash Only"?!? read more

The scones taste decent. It's too bad I had a nasty experience here. I ordered a bag of scones and gave cash to the cashier, who grabs it with her hand covered with a glove. After she put the cash in the register, I watched her to see if she replaces the glove with a new one. Nope. She continues to put scones in the bags with the same glove. read more

Love love love the bars here, I haven't tried any of their scones yet but this is my favorite spot to pick up lemon, blueberry, lilikoi and guava bars. They're so good that I always have to stop here before flying home to Kauai cause my bro and parents can't get enough of these as well. I think they're $.95 a bar which a steal for how delicious they are. Don't forget they're cash only!!! read more

The scones are really fluffy but slightly dry. They are pretty good in size and they have lots of flavors to choose from.

I you have never been here you really need to find the time! They sell the best, buttery scones I've ever had!

Lilikoi Bars are the best I've ever had! Love then, the lemon was good too but the lilikoi just blew my mind :-)

Right across Bikram Honolulu, I can't resist going in and grabbing their assorted pockets, lemon bars and buttery goodness scones, but the must-have is their quiche! Only available on Fridays and Saturdays, oh, so delish! (Ssshh! Don't tell anybody!) The Filipino lady is always so nice! The baker, who I assume must be the owner, always peeks in and says hello. Gotta try Paul C.'s recommendation of crumbcake! Try it, you'll love it! read more

Great prices for Hawaii. Pretty good selection and some great flavored.

Don't let the name fool you. Lots of stuff other than scones here. Whole pies are good and lemon bars are really good, too. Everyone's tastes are different but everything here is fresh so best bet is to share an assortment with a friend or two to figure out what you like the best. read more
