Nice spot tucked away in a center new downtown Costco is a bakery, and restaurant. Perfect for sampling many different desserts, there are many little cakes, custards, tarts etc that you can try. I had high hopes for Tiny Pyramid because most bakeries ive been to has always been amazing. However it was a bit of a let down. Tiny Pyramid is also a restaurant so I decided to have lunch here. I ordered the House Pizza (spicy) and the blend of all the flavors didn't really blend well. It was also quite oily and not spicy at all even though it's mentioned as spicy. I also ordered the green curry. It was wayyy to watery to be a curry and the shape of the rice being a pyramid is cute but its portion is so small, it left my friend hungry. Once again it was also too oily. As for the pastries, the citrus tart was a let down. The filling was not a cream of sort but GELATIN. I've never had a tart like this before and im disappointed that I did. One that I did like was their signature chocolate pyramid, their signature pastry of course. Why don't more pastry bars exist??? Can we open more please? Asking for a friend. They have a bistro menu for lunch & dinner comprised of sandwiches, curry, pizza, pastas, etc. BUTTT the star of the show had to be all the pastries & baked goods. We spent about 10 minutes trying to decide which ones to get. Everything looked so so so delectable. We ended up getting a fruit tart, guava cake, and chestnut mousse. By the entree comes I'm almost full. I enjoy the lamb Wellington always cooked perfectly with the pastry crunchy and lamb the right temperature. Finally desserts ... I had the le cafe, it's coffee mousse, very moist and my husband had the peach mango, very soft and moist, with a lot of fruit flavor. Our servers were very friendly and quick. With so many places to see and experience Tiny Pyramid was one place that I had yet to try and it's probably seeing many seafood (allergic) on their menu that I haven't given them a chance though yes they do have several other options the choices are quite limited. On this day it was for a relaxing dessert time and after seeing all the various treats it was the perfect time to give them a peek and as they're located in the Nā Lama Kukui which is just before City Mill has lots of parking it was easy to find...much easier than my choices of desserts. As I entered the shop I wasn't prepared to see so many various desserts in their display case from the classic red velvet to the famous Chocolate Pyramid as each dessert done so beautifully so artful and each different in flavor I'm very impressed with the choices though sadly the rest of the shop is like an afterthought with a huge Grab N Go and Sip pricing signs though I'm sure all was great it didn't do much for me as the vibe was meh. I decided on a Lilikoi Iced Tea and Banana Haupia which I just couldn't resist to which we pay first and suggest cash or debit as they charge 3% for credit card transactions we then sat outside as the staff was to bring our orders to us and my tea was in a mason jar is a nice and very refreshing sip on this hot afternoon was very much needed and the Banana Haupia was a very very light and airy bite could I taste the banana...honestly not really but it was yummy and I thoroughly enjoyed it all as to just sip and relax was very nice and comforting. My sister has been urging me to come here. We decided to eat here last night, and it was delightful. We each did the four-course option. Menu A was $45 each. Personally, I thought it was a steal. For three people, four courses, it came out to $159 without tip. I highly recommend tipping. With only one person serving everyone and cashing everyone out, she did amazing. I had the cream of corn as my first course. It was absolutely delicious with a nice touch of heat. My second course was the baked oysters. I would honestly rate this the lowest of all four courses I had, around a 6. Very fresh. My third course, the entree, was the Seafood Brioche. The sauce was delicious! A very nice variety of seafood. I found myself surprisingly full by the time dessert came. I had the Azuki Bean Haupia and ordered the Le Café as an extra. These were so good. The tables and chairs are seated right outside the cafe (still within the building), the desserts situated inside the cafe. It's a very relaxing vibe. I would definitely come here again. My only real complaint and it's not a bad one, I thought my cappuccino wasn't the best. Tasted more like an instant taste, but this could be a me issue. We got two 4-course meals - lobster pad thai, poached lobster with fettuccine, soft shell crab, baked oysters, cream of corn soup and desserts from the glass case (azuki, le café and chocolate pyramid). The lobster was cooked well without being rubbery and was seasoned well too. Not the best lobster, but quite decent. The taste of the pad Thai was good, but the tofu wasn't very fresh. I wish the sauce on the fettuccine was a little thicker and creamier, it's almost like a milky sauce. The soft shell crab was just one piece and it was small. I think we got it because it's something other than lobster. The oysters were tiny after they're cooked and it was just mayo on top, it could use some garnish? The star of the show was definitely the cream of corn soup. So good!!! I could eat 2 bowls of those. I also enjoyed their famous chocolate pyramid. It's like a thick mousse with cocoa powder on top. The food is good, we had the fixed menu B with escargot and poached lobster tail. The escargot was excellent, the lobster tail was a little dry but good with the pasta and vegetables. The best part is the dessert. They have a pastry chef here that makes dazzling tarts and chocolate desserts. We have tried the chocolate pyramid, raspberry pistachio tart, apricot tart and blueberry tart. All were so delicious and yummy. Met some out of town folks for the first time at this unique little eatery. Everything on the menu is ono but it was obvious what I wanted to eat. Started off with an Iced Café Latte and lots of ice water (it was a really hot day), followed by a Soft Shell Crab appetizer. Nice and crispy and tender in the center, with a lovely salad salad with house dressing. The others had Yellow Curry and Rice (which was gobbled down in no time); Khao Soi (gotta try that next time); quiche; and a very substantial Chef's Salad, which I'll also have to try next time. Afterwards we had have dessert, which is always a challenge with all the luscious little cakes and tartlets to chose from. Wow! This hidden gem is located in a plaza I never would have gone to if one of my friends didn't tell me about it! Tiny Pyramid is close to plentiful parking and is indoors! Great place to go to on a hot day. They have a large selection of desserts and pastries plus savory menu items from brunch to dinner! Service was quick. I loved their yellow curry. It had a unique flavor that I wasn't used to. If you're not into curry, they also have pizza, pasta, and sandwiches! But this is where love moves to the just like side of the spectrum. Like that the prices are kept down but it is obviously at the sacrifice of the food quality and quantity. I do like the food. Just don't love it. Flavor is palatable and easy to satisfy a group; just not wowable. Portion sizes are adequate but not abundant. Desserts are beautiful to look at but just not as tasty as they look. Then again, have only tried maybe 6 of the different dessert options out of over the 24 choices so maybe I just have to try more. Wow how this place has gone downhill. Last time I picked up some cakes here our family really enjoyed them. Went this past weekend and got some of their fruit based cakes along with their signature chocolate pyramid. First, the case with the cakes is full of condensation at the top which I've never seen before in a bakery or cake shop. Second, the staff packed our selections into a box but made no attempt to separate the items to keep them nice during transit. In fact, when I got home I found that the cardboard round of one of my cakes was dug into the side of the chocolate pyramid. Based on how it looked, it was clear that's how it was placed in the box (the cardboard round scraped down the side of the pyramid, no way that happens just shifting in the box). Third, the cakes were not good. Each one had some hard, grainy cake in them. Chewable, but with texture more akin to crunchy pop rocks than cake. Don't recall that being the case before, or really with any cakes I've had in the past (there weren't "crunch" cakes). If this is the new standard of quality, I won't be back anytime soon. read more

We love this place. It's a place my friends and I go to as much as possible. This time we went for lunch. I had the seafood brioche. It had fish, shrimp scallop in a light cream sauce. A friend suggested this restaurant for all of us to meet. The food was delicious even if it was small servings for the price you pay. As I read the reviews, I ordered the soft shell crab sandwich, and it was crunchy and soft at the same time. It was just enough to make me full and the taste was satisfying. Came with a small salad. The iced tea was refillable and the service was great. They even let us stay more than the alloted time until it got busy again. It's away from other eateries, and the tables are outside, so it had a nice, quiet atmosphere for me to catch up with my friends while the restaurant was closing, and ordered desserts separately to take home before closing. i think tiny pyramid deserves an updated review. it's been some time since i've been here, and i'm glad i gave them another chance! They are located across of liliha bakery on Nimitz. Lots of free parking to choose from! you can only enter on Nimitz. My gps took me to the back where it's one way only and its out of the parking structure. They have lots of outdoor seating only and it sometimes can echo in there since it's within a hallway area. Inside the store/restaurant is just their cake display. We did not have any issues with getting a table tho, both times were walk in. Although, second time was an off hour, but they were busier because it was the weekend. I can totally see myself coming here often because their menu is so large! The first time i got a drink, entree, and dessert and it came out to $40, and then i realized that it was actually cheaper to do the 4-course menu instead of ala carte. So that is what we did the second time! The drinks were really sweet even tho they ask for your preference. my friends 20% was still too sweet for her. My latte was just ok, i would just stick with water as both of us didn't like the drinks there. I got an appetizer the second time i went - the baked lobster and lao roll was yummy! The salad was super fresh and tasty too. The entrees i got was the crying belly which i really enjoyed and the baked salmon which was ok and needed a bit more salt for flavor. I was able to try two desserts - they refilled the strawberry puff pastry the first time i went but ended up giving me the older one, but it was still good. second time was a chocolate mousse cake which was nice and light too. It was hard to ask for recommendations cause the server didn't really recommend anything - but just described the items on the menu. the other plus is that we were able to bring our dogs! This is very disheartening to write since this is my second updated review of this place and this time, it may be last update for this restaurant. I have been a frequent customer before and during the pandemic. I dined-in and take-out at this place quite often and would purchase their pastries for myself and friends by the box. However, these past few visits has been pretty subpar in terms of quality of their foods. Poached lobster tail: The pasta with white wine beurre blanc sauce was terribly under seasoned. From my most recent photo, the sauce was very watery, it was not thick like beurre blanc sauce normally is. It tasted like water downed milk. The lobster as usual was very rubbery and tough. The fettuccine tasted so plain even when mixed with the sauce. There were hardly any mushrooms or peas. Pasta fettuccine with rosemary cream and chicken: I tried the classic hen with rosemary cream sauce before and the sauce was delicious. However, when I ordered it as a pasta sauce, it was very watered down and flavorless. The chicken was also very dry. I ordered the pasta with chicken to go. They separated the sauce with the pasta so the fettuccine was rubbery and plain even when I poured the sauce on it. Pasta needs to be cooked with sauce in ordered to absorb the flavors but I don't know why they separated them for to go orders now when it takes 10-15 minutes to prepare and for me to pick up. Pasta is not like pho or ramen, the sauce should not be separated like a broth. Everything was wrong with this dish. Overall, very underwhelmed and disappointed with the quality of their dishes now. The prices also raised up quite a lot after Covid. The poached lobster pasta used to be $22 is now market price. The last time I ordered it, the price of the pasta (the one in the recent photo) was $38. The pasta was not worth that amount. read more

Perfect balance. I decided I needed a coffee after dinner. I regretted it later because the coffee was STRONG. I ordered a an iced pistachio latte. It was delicious and had a pretty bold coffee flavor. It kept me up all night! Lol! It did its job. Service: The service was on it. They took orders quick and soon after we had our dinner was coming through. We had a large group of 15 so to get a large party served with a small staff was amazing. We had our annual Christmas dinner on a Saturday evening. I've never been here before. The staffs and owner were truly amazing with service. When you walk in you'll greeted by all these wonderful, mouth watering desserts. The choice and selection was to die for. So many to choice from so I choice 4. The ambiance inside was so cute. Their salad was so fresh. Whatever dressing they use was so good. The attention to details was really on point. The baked salmon was delicious. Normally I don't like mashed potatoes with gravy.
