If they do edge anyone out it's in the shoe department which is pretty hefty, especially if you're not looking to spend a ton. Hiking boots, running shoes, tennies, and lots in between. But really, Big 5 is about covering the bases (pun intended) and offering a modest selection of everything. And at really competitive pricing (keep an eye on the ads) it's at least worth a stop in to see what they have. Pretty convenient right there on 90th South.

I reached out to the artist directly and found out that they hadn't received any new blank decks or return labels from Russ to send to me, and didn't appreciate their business being represented that way by Russ. The artist offered to send me one of their own decks, however, it wouldn't have trucks or wheels. I don't think the artist is lying as they've been responsive and showed me their communications. I think he is slandering the artists business this way- which I believe is illegal too... I don't mind the time it takes for a custom project to be made, I get it's a lot more than just send a mass produced product. That's fine. Even though, the website claimed ten days.. What I do mind is the lack of communication, transparency, and how he blamed his negligence on someone else-the artist. They did not attempt to right their wrongs. And,have yet to receive a refund from them. I will probably have to go through the annoyance or disputing this with my bank. Buyer beware.

I made it though the season then had them replaced aga in, but was suggested to upgrade to a better holder. Even though the holes on the holder didn't match up, these guys made it work and they look great. Jim was awesome to work with. His customer service exceeded far beyond what I expected of their -or really any other- store. The craftsmanship of the work looked really good too. Nothing but positive things to say about this place.
