If I could give negative stars I would. Bought a second hand 2013 Forrester.Took it to Shortline after a few weeks as it sounded weird and couldn't get up the hills on E470. They had it for 2 days and told me it had no oil,no diagnostic tests. Well less than a 1000 miles later it threw a piston and I ended up having to buy a new engine that cost me $7,700. Apparently that is why there was no oil,and apparently this is common with Subaru's,which is why I took it to them in the first place. They are completely incompetent. read more

I must admit this dealership gave a good price on a new Subaru, but we are missing paperwork to get the car registered, and the dealership has not returned any calls or messages for over a month. read more

I bought a used Outback from Schomp in 2020, Certified Pre-Owned with a clean Carfax. When I tried to sell it in 2021 to a private party, Carfax had added history of hail damage from the week before I bought the car; it hadn't shown up on the report until later. That made it hard to sell the car. I called Schomp, and they quickly agreed that even though this wasn't their fault (the Carfax was clean when they bought it, and when they sold it to me), it was unfair and they'd make it right. They bought the car back from me for a great price, much better than I would have gotten anywhere else. There was no argument and the whole process took about 10 minutes. I'm impressed they took a bad situation that was nobody's fault and fixed it. read more

We cannot express how easy the process was with the help of our sales associate David Limb. We went online to searched inventories from other Subaru dealerships. This dealership had a much bigger selection and the cost was at least $1000 different. David made the whole process so easy and seamless. I have not had a better salesman in my entire adult life. With having six adult kids we have purchased many cars and we've never had somebody that was so incredibly knowledgeable with processing all the information that we needed to know to us. He was so happy, kind person smart always had a good laugh going on and respected healthy boundaries due to Covid. He set up appointments for us he went to the components of the car he was just awesome. We wanted something different color wise then what was on site and this is no joke he said "hey you know I got a color that you'd like" and suggested it but it wasn't even on site. Once we saw it we loved it, wanted it, it was the lights silver golden light brown ... gorgeous. However there were none on site. David Limb went out of the norm to get the car transferes to on site. The car was still wrapped in plastic at a different location on a truck. I mean that's incredible. And we only spent like three hours at the dealership.... not like 12 hours, everything was so seamless 15 minutes for financing 15 minutes to get the car detailed 15 minutes to blah blah blah untell we had our car and we're on our way way. One thing I love about this dealership is they do not have that extra 600 to 1000 bucks in dealer handling fees and they don't work off commission which is a main part DHF. Which was explained to us by David. They also had many offices and the offices were divided by glass and after someone was done with the customer it was sanitized and a sign was put on it that said "clean room". I just really like that. If you're interested in buying the car this guy David Limb is your man. read more

The follow up customer service here was awful. I bought a used car after my car got stolen and that process was fine, nothing spectacular. When I realized that they forgot to give me to lug nut key for my tires, then it became a mess. I needed to get my tires rotated and balanced and because I didn't have a key which should have been given to me, I was charged $40 extra dollars. Then to get the key from Schomp was like pulling teeth... I sent multiple emails with no response, made a number of phone calls before I was able to speak to someone about it and kept having to bug them about it when this was definitely their responsibility. I even sent my address (updated since I bought the car) to them and they still sent it to the older address, ridiculous customer service. Do not recommend. read more

DON'T DO IT!!!! I really hesitated going to Shortline because the reviews were terrible to begin with. However, I needed to have the airbag recall taken care of by an authorized dealer so I decided it couldn't be that bad. On the contrary, THIS IS THE WORST BUSINESS I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. While getting the airbag recall taken care of, I was told I needed new tires and new brakes and spent roughly $1,000. FOUR days later, I'm driving and my car explodes. I go back to the shop and ask to see my paperwork. It turns out there's a note about an oil issue that needs to be dealt with "immediately" which I was NOT told about. (Believe me, I know enough not to dump a bunch of money into replacing tires when there's an "urgent oil problem".) I ask why I was never told of this and no one is particularly helpful. One person tells me "we're a good company we'll make it right." Oh how I wish I had walked away then! Given that I thought they might try to make good though, I started shopping around for new cars with them. Long story short, I decide on a particular car and am sent an estimate by one of their salesman, Tom (run, don't walk from this man!!) It's a good price, so I say I just need them to tell me the trade in value of my old car and I'm ready to move forward. WEEKS pass. (All the while, I'm paying for a rental.) I call numerous times and am constantly told "we'll look at it tomorrow".... "by the end of next week". They finally look at the trade in value of my old car and get back to me with a price. The price however, (now with the trade in value of my old car) is MORE THAN $5,000 what I was originally quoted. When I explained that I had now wasted several weeks waiting on them, because of the original quote I was given, Tom told me -- and I am not making this up -- "a soda spilled on the calculator and the keys had gotten stuck and that's why the original price was wrong." After failing to inform me of the initial problem (while letting me pour $1,000 into the car) they then wasted three weeks dragging their feet and going back on their word due to a "broken calculator." (Exactly how stupid do they think their customers are?!?!?) They screwed up at every turn and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me. In the end, I took the Shortline offer to the first dealer I could - and they beat it by $100. read more

I'm going to preface this by saying everything that Shortline has done in terms of actual vehicle upkeep has been fantastic. I adore my Subaru and every time I bring it in, they do a wonderful job taking care of it. That's why I'm still giving them three stars despite my experience yesterday. Story time. Yesterday was my car's 15,000 mile maintenance appointment. Plan was to drop the car off, take the shuttle to work, and take the shuttle back when my car was done. In hopes of avoiding their busy hours, I chose to take some time off work - (Thursday) - a day their phone representative told me was a slower day. I showed up on time for my appointment at 9:45am to a longer line of cars than I'd ever seen there, and it took a solid 10 minutes for a representative to be able to do more than let me know they'd be with me as soon as they could. Okay, so they're busy, it happens. I gave them the key and asked about the shuttle... turns out it had just left and the wait for it to return was probably over an hour. Credit where it's due, the gentleman who was assisting me did try for a second shuttle, but that person had recently left as well. I can't afford a taxi on top of the cost of the maintenance, so I was stuck waiting. Okay. I was hoping to be back to work around 10:30-10:45, guess that wasn't happening. Fortunately, the shuttle was back much earlier than predicted; I waited only a bit over half an hour. There were three other people needing the shuttle at the same time, no big deal. Except the shuttle driver, Julio, didn't ask about urgency in where folks needed to go, and I somehow ended up last priority to three other people just going to their personal homes. I didn't get dropped off at my office until almost noon(!). Julio was very friendly and had a good sense of humor, but his driving was unsafe, to put it gently. We were constantly weaving in and out of traffic, to the point where I actually got carsick from the back-and-forth movements. Two hours later, I got a call that my car was done, so I called the shuttle to get a ride back to the dealership. Different driver this time, I think his name was Harry? I'm unsure. In any case, I was told a 30 minute wait, cool, that's not a problem. Twenty minutes later, I get a call that the shuttle was another 20 minutes out. So after 15 minutes, I went to wait outside. While it was nice to be outside for a while, it's less nice to be out there for a long while with no one showing up. 50 minutes after he called to say he'd be here in 20, I called him to see what was happening. Apparently, after I'd called him, he'd gotten another call for a ride from someone much closer to the dealership, and he chose to pick them up and drop them off before coming to get me. More, apparently protocol is to call me when he got here specifically to avoid what had happened with me waiting outside, and he neglected to tell me as much. Oh, and it'll be another 30 minutes before he'll be here. Nothing I can do but wait, so at 3:20pm, fully an hour and a half after my first phone call, I climb into the shuttle. This driver was also quite friendly, but was otherwise the polar opposite of Julio - slow and dangerously unaware of the surrounding traffic. At least twice he made other cars slam on their brakes when he pulled out in front of them, other times he'd slow to a near-stop with a green light and no traffic, or he'd be oblivious to the stopped cars in front of him until he had to brake hard to avoid hitting them. There was one other person to pick up along the way, and he was apparently unsure as to their location and asked me to help him look for the street sign. Okay? Meanwhile, he's asking me the same questions over and over, and telling me repeated bits about himself as though he had no idea he'd said them already. We finally got to the dealership at 4:15, I paid for the car service (after an extra wait after I caught and they fixed an error in the bill) and drove back to work. Slowed by already heavy rush hour traffic, I didn't get back until after 5, when I was supposed to be going home for the day. I have no idea why they overbooked themselves so much, but my experience today was not acceptable; rather, it was very unpleasant and upsetting. I'll keep coming back because the warranty on my Subaru depends on it, but I will be taking extra measures to avoid the shuttle service if at all possible. read more

The absolute WORST car buying experience. Salesperson with a complete lack of attention to detail, horrible customer service, and after purchasing my vehicle in cash was left to chase down the vehicle's title -- even having to pay the state of CO for a duplicate title after the dealership failed to send it to me following purchase. Overall would never recommend Schomp, and feel this dealership is one that gives me anxiety for ever having done business with in the first place. read more

BEFORE my Shortline Subaru car buying experience, I had purchased two new Dodge vehicles (from different dealerships) that both left me with a little bit of buyer's remorse. I only have positive feelings about my car purchase from Shortline. I was traveling for work during the month of August and had decided to purchase a new Subaru when I returned home. Subaru was running their "end of the model year" type sale that was going to end the day after I flew home. I decided to do research on the internet while I was away and scoured inventory and models from dealerships in my area. I asked for two quotes from Shortline and two quotes from Groove. Shortline Subaru's Tom P. and Bob D. were the only useful replies I received. Groove didn't get me the information I was requesting but they did send an auto-reply stating that I was inquiring after business hours. (I thought that was a large point of asking for quotes online.) Not only did Tom P. follow up the quote information, he was also quick to respond (less than 12 hours) to any questions I had. I set up a meeting time with him via email for the afternoon I landed back in Denver. As it turns out, I arrived at Shortline directly from the airport earlier than expected. Tom was going to be busy delivering a vehicle for a few hours so he answered a few of my questions and passed me onto Greg S. who was new to the dealership's product line, but has many years experience selling cars to the public. Greg didn't pressure me at all into any vehicles, but instead answered any questions I had about the inventory availability (the sale required that I take possession of in-stock vehicles) at Shortline and in fact we were able to look at what was in stock thoughout the state of Colorado and what was on order with the help of Bob D. I wasn't sure, however if i wanted an Outback or an XV Crosstrek hybrid. So Greg hung with me for quite a while even on one of the busiest sales days of the year for Subaru: Labor Day. I was persistent and I felt like Greg and I were a team trying to find what best suited me. We ended up test driving three vehicles: XV Crosstrek Hybrid, Outback 2.5L Limited, and an Outback 3.6L Limited with the Eyesight package. Long story even longer, I ended up with the 2014 Outback 3.6L Limited with Eyesight package. I had originally never had it in my sights due to price, but the deal I received from Shortline (several thousand under invoice) and the experience I had with the dealership through email conversations and the day of the visit sealed it for me. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone. I had a great experience for the first time in my car buying career. read more

UPDATE: When I originally wrote my review, it was for Shortline Subaru, where I had a truly terrible experience buying my new Outback 1.5 years ago (featuring sexism, discrimination, dishonesty, disorganization, and generally unpleasant people, along with a problematic vehicle, all culminating in a decision to abandon my long-standing Subaru loyalty). 1.5 years later I was still upset enough to post the story of this adventure on Yelp! When I did, however, I received a personal phone call from one of the managers at Schomp: Shortline is no longer, and the establishment is now under new ownership as Schomp. None of the employees I worked with during that stressful and depressing purchase still work there. From the sounds of it, Schomp has turned over a new leaf and is moving forward with a very different management style, and--this stood out to me--their salespeople no longer work on commission but are evaluated largely on their customer satisfaction. This MUST make for a more pleasant and honest experience for customers...right? I would think so, and I'll update this review to reflect it if we end up making another purchase from this dealership. For you ladies out there: it also sounds like there are now quite a few women as owners and on the management team at this dealership, so I would expect that the severe gender-bias I experienced at Shortline is likely a thing of the past. All in all, after receiving some dedicated personal attention from the new management (who had nothing to gain from looking after me so kindly), I am certainly willing to try my hand at future business with Schomp, despite my earlier experiences at Shortline. read more

Thank you to the Service Dept., and especially Burton Tuttle for their unsurpassed help with my Forester today. My airbag on the passenger side was not working correctly. It would say Airbag OFF with a passenger in the seat, intermittently. I was told there was a "short" in the system, and the underseat had to be replaced, at a cost of over $1000. Burton went above and beyond by getting the seat replaced under warranty, even though I had just passed the 3 yr limit. I appreciate his help immensely and will not forget the fact that Schomp went above and beyond, when it's time to replace this 2016 Forester. Thank you so much! read more

This has been the worst experience buying a car I've had. After spending twenty seven thousand dollars my car has been nothing but a nightmare, as same with customer service. If I could return my car I would! This has been nothing but a regret. Three weeks after buying this car the TPMS light came up, after talking with Shortline Subaru they said there's nothing they can do and it's an $800 fix on my part. Within months the right side door panel frame started falling off, I'm guessing they made a short fix cutting corners to make the car look more appealing. You guessed it, I had to pay for the fix (now falling off again months later). The car makes an awful noise when turning left, another thing that they deny. I picked this car dealership based off one thing, their google reviews. Following up nine months later I'm very disappointed. I would NOT recommend buying a used car at this dealership to anyone! If you do buy a car with Shortline Subaru make sure it's a NEW CAR. read more

I had great experiences with Shortline, but each time I come to Schomp, I end up wasting my time and am severely disappointed. Being happy with Shortline, we decided to purchase a second Subaru, but Schomp had recently bought the dealer. They're "one hour guarantee" was actually 5.5 hours of us sitting in the chairs waiting for the salesman to fumble through a computer - needing us to guide him how to open and close tabs in the browser. Then, the date for our outback being delivered was miscalculated and came a week late. We also had to make special arrangements because the salesman was now going to be out of town when the outback arrived, and he "couldn't pass it along to another salesperson". When the outback finally arrived, it had a ding to its bumper. They offered to fix it for us for free, but when pulling in for that appointment, the service person commented "really? you're bringing it in just for that?". Yes, it is a brand new car - I should be the one damaging it, not you - this was completely unprofessional. Service I have had multiple appointments where the people scheduling the appointment miss critical details, or inform me incorrectly - how long the appointment will take, how much things will cost, what is needed to be done/ordered prior to the appointment, that i'll have a loaner car waiting for me. The individuals that run the service desks have all been understanding and fantastic, but there shouldn't be this large of a disconnect between the telephones and reality. If a scheduler says I will have a loaner, they need to provide a loaner. If a scheduler says "come in to get your key reprogrammed", there needs to be a key there. Another time I was quoted for $180, only to have the appointment - the exact things we spoke of over the phone - run $350. I certainly will no longer be using Schomp for sales or service. If this was the first time, I'd say "meh, probably a bad day or an undertrained hire", but this is 4+ times now that I have left frustrated. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! If I could give negative stars I totally would! We leased a forester through this dealer and it was a nightmare from start to finish! They messed up the paperwork so many times I had to go to the DMV for 2 temp tag extensions so I could legally drive my car while they continued to not do their jobs. Leasing the car took almost 5 hours and in that time we were left to sit for up to an hour at a time waiting for the sales rep (who had no other customers) to come back to us. They told us we had to buy an extended warranty, which we didn't and now when I called to try to cancel it, they literally hung up on me. The customer service is simply abhorrent.. I seriously have no idea how they stay in business. We have gone through Heuburger in Co. Springs for everything else with this car and a second Subaru since and never had these issues.. All the good reviews must have gotten lucky or been begged by their associate. I had a terrible and draining experience at this location and they'd rather ignore that fact and try to go back and forth with me instead of fixing their issues and making a sale. read more

We just purchased our first Subaru from Greg Shevell at Shortline and we couldn't be happier. This is the first time I've ever bought a new car and the process went so smoothly. We had to wait a bit for the car to come in (understandable, the 2016 models just started hitting the lots), but it did arrive ahead of schedule. Greg was great to work with and kept us in the loop while we were waiting for the car. I went with the 2016 Forester and it is by far the best car I've ever owned. I actually look forward to my 2 hour commute now. read more

My wife and I both bought new cars from Shortline over a year ago. We had fine service from the salesmen that we worked with and love our cars. Their service department, though, is a freaking joke. I tried multiple times to get my oil changed and tires rotated with them. Having never owned a new car, I wanted to make sure all the service was kosher so as not to void my warranty. I tried three times to use their "quick service" (or whatever it was called at the time) only to be told when pulling up that they could not get me in on that day unless I wanted to wait all day - literally all day. This happened each time I went - three different days and at different times. They have hardly any appointment times available within a reasonable period and the interactions I have had with their frontline service staff have been tepid, at best. My wife purchased the extended warranty package - we paid for all the maintenance up front. Like me she wanted them to work on it since they are the ones we bought the car from. They just finished remodeling their building, and when she went in the other day, she was treated so poorly that she came home shaking. She was so mad and dumbfounded at how they dismissed her. They told her that if she didn't have an appointment then they would not be able to get her car in for at least four hours for routine service - which was not going to work with her schedule. They blamed her for not being able to schedule an appointment more than a month in advance. From their lot, she called Mike Shaw Subaru to schedule an appointment. They got her in the next day. She had such a better experience with their service department that we will be buying our cars from them. It doesn't matter if you sell the most Subaru's in Colorado or the country if you can't provide an attempt at decent customer service. If you are that freaking busy, why didn't your remodel plans account for this so you could accommodate the volume of customers you serve? read more

Purchased a third car from this dealership. Chris Carrera was great! Easy transaction, got the car custom ordered. Finance was easy too!

If you Google all the negative reasons why you should not get your vehicle repaired at a car dealership, Schomp pulls them all. I took my Subaru in for warranty work and thought since I was getting that work done I'd save the hassle of getting warranty work done there and then turning right around to take the car to my regular mechanic for the other repairs. That would be like 5 days without a car, I reasoned. Wrong thinking/bad decision. Half the work I requested from Schomp was not done after three days of leaving my car there and the other work that did get done was preposterously expensive. I had my regular Subaru mechanic look over the vehicle after Schomp "repaired it" and he said, "Whoa, they let you drive out of there with this work undone" He kind of laughed when I showed him the receipt for the work that was done and he simply said,"Lesson learned, eh?" Lesson learned, indeed. read more

Interesting to see a lot of negative reviews. I had a good experience here. I purchased a new 2012 Subaru Forester from Shortline, dealing with fleet manager Ron Hall. Ron was friendly, professional, and did not waste my time. I got a very fair price with no nonsense. I suspect this was because I worked with Ron, and not a "salesman." Ron is highly recommended. I also took the car back for it's first complimentary oil change, and was in and out in around 20 minutes. Nice! Thanks Shortline! read more

I will keep this short and breakdown why I am giving five stars to this dealership. 1) After looking at vehicles in eight other dealerships...all of them tried to play games with pricing and making excuses. I never felt that I was getting a deal for the price that they gave, nor did I feel like they were being honest with me. Most of the dealers would tell me that they had someone else who wanted to buy the vehicle I was looking at...sure enough three weeks later they still have the vehicle. I did not feel Shortline Subaru was playing tricks with me. 2) When I arrived to see my vehicle, I didn't have a sales person hounding over me trying to tell me about the vehicle....I was simply given the keys and told to take it out and enjoy. I loved this! No pressure....and only answer question that I ask. Thank you Joyce!!! 3) They were very fast in getting my paperwork ready and processing my information. I think the total time it took to get my vehicle was under two hours and that included the test drive. Very nice experience. 4) 100,000 mile warranty added on my used car!! Now that was a huge selling point. Showed me that they trusted what they were selling me. Great deal! 5) When I took my car home, I noticed there was an issue with the CD player. This is something that I couldn't test when I was there. I took it into someone and they told me a quote of $150 to fix the stereo. I was pretty bumbed and opted to just put in a new player in the car. I wrote Shortline Subaru to inform them of what happened...and sure enough they are cutting me a check for $150.00. Now I have found my dealership!!! So I hope others read this that is looking for a more peaceful experience when purchasing a car. If you do go, ask for Joyce.....she is a gem and worked with me on everything!!! read more

This started out as a 5 Star Review for Ralph Schomp Subaru. We had an appointment with R. J. Rosa at Schomp Subaru. He listened to what kind of car my wife wanted, understood her concerns and showed us a picture of a car in their inventory. We said that we wanted to test drive that car, so off went RJ to look for the car! He came back 15 minutes later and informs us that the car was shipped out earlier that day, and their inventory only updates overnight so he didn't know that that car was gone! At this time we met R.J.'s manager Justin who was going to look at our trade in and gave us his price. His price was low, but when I showed him what another dealer was willing to give us, he matched the trade in price. (STILL AT 5 STARS) After finding the last car in all of their inventory that matched the 3 things my wife wanted, Blue Car, Electric driver's seat, and it had to be a Crosstrek, we test drove the car 90 minutes after our 1:00 P.M. appointment. My Wife loved the car, so we told RJ that she wanted the car. I purposely left the down payment at home, and we went back that night to finish signing the papers. (Now, this is where the stars start to fall) We were told that the other key was locked up in another showroom across the street and that they would deliver the other key to us, as well as pick up our spare key to the trade in. Our license plates were still on our trade in and RJ said that they would deliver them too! No call on Saturday, Sunday they are closed. Monday my wife gets a call from Schomp Subaru and was told that she could pick up the key any time that day! My wife said that they were suppose to deliver the key to us at our house. The other person said "Oh, I will get ahold of RJ" and hung up the phone. No call back from the dealership on Monday. (Now down to 4 stars) No call from the dealership on Tuesday either. (This review is now down to 3 stars.) Today is Wednesday, I called today to find out the manager's name, for this review and got another manager who is now in the mix too. I called simply to get Justin's name, this other manager by the name of MOE, wanted to know why I wanted Justin's name. I explained TRUTHFULLY that I was writing a YELP review! He said "I hope it is a good review" To which I replied, it WAS going to be a great 5 star review if we would ever get the second key that they owed and promised IN WRITING to us for our new 2019 Subaru Crosstrek! At this time Moe told me to settle down. SETTLE DOWN?? (Yep, down to 2 stars now.) It is clear that customer service is lacking at the Schomp Subaru dealership. All my years dealing with the public, I learned Customer Service. I run a very successful business based on Customer Service, and it definitely shows. Treat each and every Customer with respect, and they will be a return Customer. Treat them as anything but a customer, and you can kiss their next 30,000.00 purchase goodbye. My wife did call Schomp Subaru and asked for RJ, and was told that he was off today and will be back tomorrow July 4th. We will see. read more

I'm writing this joyous review for Carl Volk at Shortline Subaru, not only because he highly deserves it, but also because I am super pleased with my very first New Car buying experience. I bought a 2015 Subaru Impreza and so far, it's the best decision I've ever made. I needed AWD to get around the snow with, so that's one of the many reasons why I decided to go with Subaru. Shortline was the third Subaru dealership that I had checked out, and I'm so glad that I did my research and waited. Come to find out they are the largest Subaru dealership besides another one in Colorado Springs. When I got to their lot, this was quite evident as their selection was impressive and top notch. I already knew what I was looking for (for the most part) but whenever I had a question, Carl was eager to teach me everything that I needed to know. After going to so many dealerships, I started to get apprehensive because of the variety of Salesmen that are out there. Carl was not pushy and I never felt uncomfortable during the entire process. I just wanted to thank the whole team for being very accommodating and gracious for me, I appreciate it! I already told all of my friends and family how happy I am with my new car! read more

This review is about the experience I had with the saleswoman Irena Milasinovic. I went to go buy a car for me and my fiancé. Despite only wanting to buy a car, Irena would not stop coming on to me and making advances towards me. She asked me out to Coffee and I said no, and then for months she would not stop harassing me over text. She even implied she wanted me to come over to her house. She is twice my age.... I am 20 and she is over 40. Nearly every day I would have texts from Irena and more and more they stopped being about car stuff. She would text me good morning and goodnight and try to ask me about my day and proceed to ask me out again (despite the fact that I'm taken by another woman and that I am less than half her age). After I blocked her phone number she started emailing me. It was so creepy and honestly scary that she is using her position to hit on guys half her age. She even offered me free car parts to get close to me. My fiancé and I were scared for months that she was going to show up at our house. It's horrible that I went to buy a car...and the car is great... but its horrible that I was harassed for months by a much older woman, and I honestly hope that she gets fired or at least reprimanded for the way she behaves towards much younger male clients. She should not be asking out people less than half her age who only want to buy a car. It was very unprofessional. I have never wanted advances less than the ones from Irena. She has been working at Subaru dealerships longer than my fiancé (who is an appropriate age for me) has been alive. I hope it gets written down in her file how inappropriate she has been towards young male clients. I will be taking my business elsewhere next time I purchase a car. My vehicle is great but the service was completely unprofessional. I hope Subaru apologizes for this inappropriate behavior instead of trying to cover up this type of harassment. read more

So, I was so happy with the service department after my first time visiting. I bought my Subi in another state before moving to Colorado. But today I called to make an appointment for my lane change detection system not working. They do not have any loaner cars because some other dealership that bought them out took them all, and they don't expect any loaners until August at the earliest. So they went from being awesome to not having the service I had come to expect available. So I called another dealership, and they have free loaners - no problem. Hopefully I will be able to leave a sparkling review for Mike Shaw Subaru in a few days. read more

Subaru is my vehicle choice and my family has always purchased them from Shortline Subaru. I recently traded in my Honda for a 2011 Certified Preowned Legacy. This is the first vehicle I have purchased from them and the 5th one purchased from our family. I worked with Tom Karros Sr. and he was a great. Very friendly and knowledgeable on the vehicles that I was interested in. He was able to tell the me the pros and cons with the vehicles I was searching for. Any additional questions I've had since purchasing were addressed in a timely manor. Shortline is s great dealership with competitive prices. I'm a Shortline customer for life. read more

Bought my Hyundai Santa Fe from this dealership and had a good experience. Salesman was nice and not pushy. Finance people weren't the friendliest, but they have these terrible offices with no windows so who can blame them. My suggestion is to create a better finance area. Felt small and claustrophobic, not the best feeling when signing on the dotted line. Brought my car in to be serviced and they were extremely prompt with the oil change. read more

After Shomp took over Shortline Subaru everything about my experience suffered. Prices up, service down. The latest service they left lug nuts insecure and I was lucky enough to notice a rotational sound that became more pronounced. I stopped back and was told I'd have a two hour wait (again) when I asked them to look at it. I left and went to a mechanic I trust. They found loose lug nuts all the way around. I reported the issue to one of the service managers and got basic "I'm sorry." That in itself was hollow as he made excuses. Never again. Go elsewhere. I lost my trust in their shop. read more

When I walked into Shortline Subaru, I expected my car buying experience to be a painful, stressful experience--but wow, was I wrong! Working with Sales Associate Rick Gitelman was an absolute pleasure. Rick is confident and knows his stuff, but unlike your typical salesman type, he is about as low-pressure as it gets--so refreshing! While we ended up spending a decent amount of time at the dealership, Rick helped the time pass by fairly quickly and worked with me to secure a beautiful, new 2015 Subaru Forester! I am one very happy customer, and my experience working with Rick made all the difference. read more

Finally a Subaru Dealership that is professional and kind. I can't say thank you enough to Frankie she was able to get my Forester in and done . Even gave me a loaner car to go grab some lunch. I will only use Shortline Subaru from now on! So worth the 90 mile drive :) To bad Groove couldn't even try to make things right on a new lease car. Thanks again for the fast service and no B.S. read more

Wouldn't recommend. Set an appointment for an oil change. Informed when I arrived that they were unable to complete the oil change, told to reschedule or leave the car overnight, and later was told the express lube should not be taking appointments (it's booked online). Not accommodating and not able to keep appointments. read more

I took my car here for the airbag recall, they were organized and ran on time with my schedule. The staff was also organized with shuttling us to the enterprise location and my rental set up was very easy. I also had some additional work done on my trunk lever. There was a confusion about the price of the repair at pick up. The manager contacted me directly the next day and worked everything out so that I got a fair price on the repair. I really appreciated this and despite having an issue it was resolved quickly and , I would consider coming back here to look at cars in the future. read more

SCHOMP SUBARU doesn't value your time or your business or understand basic customer service. They just want to sell over-priced cars. I haven't had to buy a car in 10 years, because I have a subaru. I visited Schomp Subaru and found a car I liked. The perfect car. But, it wasn't in Denver yet. It was "In Transit" on their web-site. This car was perfect for what I was looking for. So, I reserved this vehicle on 2/8 with a $500 deposit so that no one else can buy it before me. On 2/15 the sales guy calls me and tells me it will be here on Saturday 2/16 ready by Wednesday 2/20... And this is where the problem gets worse. I reach out on 2/20, 2/21 can't get anyone to call me back, let alone answer the sales line at SCHOMP. No e-mail responses, I have no idea where to turn to get answers on this car. Finally, today on 2/27 (almost 20 days after I put down a deposit), I finally get a hold of the sales guy (cause I found his cell number on an old e-mail chain). Guess what, they lost the keys to the car and decided to look for them (for 3 weeks!) instead of making new keys. The car is still in California! But, the real issue here is they haven't returned my calls or e-mails about this and ignored my inquiries for weeks! And I had to finally get the Sales guy on the phone to get the whole story. He should have called me the minute this news came available. I just want to buy a car! How do you expect to stay in business when this is the way you treat your customers? I am so hurt by this experience and I don't know why anyone would work with them if this is the way they treat people. read more

Had an amazing experience coming in , Chris did an amazing job helping me look for my first car and rest assured he did exactly that. The service was amazing , there was drinks and snacks and everything was clean. Everyone wore mask and you can tell they are number one for what they do! read more

What a joke this place has the rudest and most unorganized service department the whole dealership looks like it was hit by a nuke and is attempting to rebuild itself. The service girl helping me was rude and took for ever to complete a simple job. I was told I would get a phone call with an update but never received anything. Take your Subi to a local mechanic or a different Subaru dealer for service. read more

My experience with the service department was very disappointing. A service adviser called to walk me through all of the reasons I was not eligible for a loaner car. In a condescending manner, I was told if that was important I should go elsewhere. A message for the management team at Shortline Subaru went unreturned. I am taking my business elsewhere including plans to purchase another car. read more
