Can't get off their mailing list. I've called for over a year, they say "10 days" and then I get another advertisement. Now they just say "toss it" These mailings are not cheap. Printing, envelope, postage...delivery.....it adds up and now I'm getting them more frequent. It surprises me that they don't care about the expense or environment. I inquired about a truck they had by email, phone call and in person. When I went in person to look at the truck the salesman said he would be in touch. It was supposed to be going through an inspection and maintenance. Two weeks later no communication on there side at all. I have reached out several times since my visit to the dealership, no responses at all. I have since bought a vehicle to replace mine which was totally burned by the Marshall wildfire. SECOND WARNING!! You may have a heart attack while visiting Tynans.. & possibly experience muscle spasms because of this review. Preface... The Wimps.. First of all, anyone who gets bullied by a car dealership must be missing a back bone. If you are, head to Tynans, they obviously specialize in confidence boosting, customer service, bank fighting and I read somewhere that they help people with credit issues (but that could be an urban legend). Ok ok, enough beating around the bush. I was in town for a few days determined to get my mom a new car. Keep in mind, with our budget and how big of a mess we are, this was going to be a used car that was older than I was and probably driven around the block one or two thousand times. Chapter 1... The Long Day.. After visiting six lots.. yes... SIX!! We were exhausted. I wont name any names to protect the guilty but lets just pretend a couple of them rhyme with ScarMax, Live-Time & Beevinson Moyota.. They all pretend to be out for your best interests, have you wait hours on end and then try to sell you cars like a ford pinto... We were pretty much at the point of investing in a lifetime bus pass for my mom.. at least she would get a senior discount. STAY WITH ME HERE!! Long behold, we decided to grab lunch at costco (judge her, not me) and passed Tynan's. I thought... what the hell.. what's one more lot gonna do. Chapter two... BEST. DECISION. EVER. I went on the website while eating, filled out an app and called in. Britney happened to just see the application i submitted and squeezed us in at 4:15. From the minute we walked in, Angel offered us refreshments to hold us down while she grabbed a notepad. She asked real questions that not one of the previous lots asked us. (They're first questions were always.. how much you looking to spend). She wanted to find the best for my mom. We were eyeing a used Chevy Aveo... They were not having it. Angel and her team found a really nice used 2012 Ford.. My mom loved it. Now.. what happened next was what really earned this review.. Chapter three.. THE CLIMAX... We knew my mom had a few credit blemishes, so we told them and they said they'd do whatever they could to help. (ok lets be real, after ten kids and raising me.. you'd get charged with possessing obscene reading material after pulling her report). After about an hour of fidgeting in our chairs, they came back with the news... She wasn't going to get into the Ford she had just fallen in love with... she was getting into a 2016 Nissan Versa... A BRAND NEW 2016 NISSAN VERSA.... WTF?!?!? We looked at one another in shock... HOW DID THEY DO THIS?? What sort of black magic did they posses?!?!? After going over the numbers, they were honest with us, it was hard, but they didn't stop fighting until we had a manageable loan and a car that was worth it. Man.. my mom is so *&% happy... she has NEVER had a brand new car... NEVER!!! And she's pretty much 104 years old!!! CONCLUSION: DON'T BE A FOOL!!! GO TO TYNAN'S!!! I wish that I could give this review a 0 star rating. My husband and I had the absolute worst experience at this "dealership". Our salesman was DJ. We told him what we were looking for and he said he could help. We had just come out of an Armada and knew we wanted to go the SUV route again since I have 2 nieces that I'm responsible for in addition to our daughter. An SUV just makes more sense for us. Now, I know that dealerships can pull cars from other lots, especially when they are owned by the same people. My husband and I were looking at a specific Tahoe that we had seen online and not once did DJ mention that it was at another dealership (down the street ) nor was he helpful in finding someone to bring the car over for us to look at. He kept telling us that SUV's are too "expensive" he kept trying to talk us out of what we initially wanted. My husband is very inexperienced when it comes to buying cars and he suggested that he take another look around to see if that's what we really wanted. I knew what I wanted but my husband wasn't so sure. While we were looking around a semi truck with cars on it brought in another Tahoe. I asked DJ to check to see if it was sold. He looked in the direction of where it was parked and said well it's in a sold parking space. I told him that doesn't make it sold. That was the only available space where it could be parked. He said again SUV's are "too expensive". At this point, I'm fed up with his attitude and unwillingness to help us find what are looking for and I want to leave. My husband found a car he liked and it was all downhill from there. Long story short, we ended up purchasing a 2010 Pathfinder. I didn't feel right about the purchase but we did it anyway because we were in a tight spot and desperately needed a vehicle. When we got home, we realized that the kids didn't fit with their car seats in the car. We hadn't checked that beforehand because in all honesty, who wants to take 3 three children ages 5, 1 and almost a year to the dealership to sit for hours? Not me! The 5 year old was riding with her feet crossed in her car seat so her legs wouldn't be smashed by the passenger seat, the 1 year old was sitting in the middle with both of her feet up on either side of the passenger and drivers seats and the baby barely fit behind the drivers seat without me pulling the seat all the way up to the dashboard. I'm tall and so is my husband and when we were both driving with our knees touching the dashboard with barely any room to turn the steering wheel, HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM! We immediately called the dealership to see what we could do. We didn't have buyers remorse because we didn't like the car, we just simply didn't fit. We even tried to rearrange the kids and that didn't work either. We were put in touch with Scott Wilkinson who informed us that he was going to a car auction the following day and that he would look for something different for us along the lines of a Tahoe, Yukon or Suburban. I didn't receive a call the next day but the day after and it wasn't Scott. It was DJ, our original salesman. He proceeds to tell us that he has a minivan- but all of the minivans they had had more miles on them than the Pathfinder and purchasing a car with high miles wasn't something we wanted to do. A 40,000 mile difference is a big deal. He also said he had an Armada but when I had asked about it before he gave me the "it's too expensive" answer. I told him neither of those would work and he said he would get back to me after arguing with me and he didn't call back. I contacted the dealership down the street from this one that's owned by the same people and they told me they were extremely sorry and that they would help us figure everything out. I was put in touch with Megan only because she was calling to see if we were searching for a vehicle still and I told her the entire story. She was very apologetic and said she would help. She told me she would email her manager which I appreciated. Long story short, we were able to get into another car (still too small) but better than the first. We got screwed in the first deal which caused us to be screwed in the second so we owe a significant more amount of money than the car is actually worth. (My fault for not checking and just wanting to be done with the deal). I would love to buy another Nissan, this time it will be the one I want. I just won't be purchasing from this dealership ever again. read more

After having some financial difficulties, and plagued with a Chapter 7, along with the having to lose my current vehicles, I started to get hounded by dealerships looking to earn my business and try to get me to come up with down payments equal to 20% of the car price, which is just not going to happen. I turned to Tynan's, looked them up online, read the reviews, and while any business is going to have a couple negative comments, the majority of the reviews were positive. I couldn't agree more. From my intake with Danielle, to my sales person David to Sam and Marlin, the whole staff is amazing. They really want to do what it takes to not only get you in a car, but help you get to a payment that is budget comfortable. Plus, they have a huge number of lenders that they work with. I know every dealership offers "challenged credit" services, but those companies and banks tend to trigger a credit inquiry of every bank, whereas with Tynan's I had 1 inquiry and that was it. I strongly recommend that if your credit isn't great, give them a try. I will definitely be back down the road to buy from them again! read more

I was treated with the utmost respect after leaving countless pre-owned and new stores that had the worst interest for my family and I at heart. They got down on my level and truly brought me up to theirs. Everything was explained in detail and their pre-owned cars come with EVERY detail down to a tee. Wow, what a difference when the dealer knows what they are doing. Filed bankruptcy and was not looking foward to the process of buying a car. I got a recomendation from a coworker to call Tynans Preowned, she said they had a new store and they had a really really good Bankruptcy program. I had gone to two other "credit centers," what a waste of two saturdays. I called Tynans and after 3 transfers finally got to speak to a bankruptcy specialist, yep a specialist. Her name was Angel and she was a breath of fresh air and I was thouroughly impressed and amazed. She walked me through the online credit application, then got me pre-approved, then set up my appointment and sent me a list of necessary items to bring. This was the only place where I received a call from the sales manager Sam, to thank me for the opportunity to earn my business. Then, when I arrived, Sam came over to greet me, gave me his card, got me a bottle of water and introduced me to Angel. It was so easy, I told them what I wanted, they explained what the bank had approved and together we found a fantastic car. They even got me a great rate, that goes down when I pay on time. This was by far the best experience I have ever had buying a vehicle, ironically it was during my worst period. Funny how that happens. Bottom line here; Angel Fernandez, amazing; Matt S in Finance, awesome and; Manager Sam incredible. WARNING - DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! The sales staff and manager are unbelievably disrespectful and this is a top rate shady dealership! Because of all the mailing flyers and advertisements that this dealership works with people with credit issues or first time buyers, I decided to call them up. Initially, I worked with a pleasant young woman named Danielle. We were in the market for my daughter to get a vehicle. This was her first car and she was excited as she had saved the down payment from her summer job. We arrived at the dealership around 5pm, and worked with a sales person. He was very short with us and treated us as if were welfare queens or something. My husband and I had just recently purchased a new Jeep/Dodge from AutoNation Arapahoe and received top notch EXCELLENT customer service. I was so shocked at the difference. At one point I went to the restroom, and the salesman approached my daughter and asked her very skeptically, "do you even have any credit established." We were the only customers in the dealership, and it still took over an hour. Then the salesman told us to come back the following day. We could not eve look at the cars of interest. We left disappointed and frustrated. I called to speak with the manager and explained to him my frustration to only have him 1) cut me off in conversation to defend his salesman, and 2) abruptly end the call by saying that he could no longer further speak to me and Danielle would be in touch with me the next business day. This was highly rude, disrespectful, and down right terribly poor customer service. Needless to say, I NEVER received another call from their dealership. Over the years, I have purchased several cars, including a car from the main Tynan's VW dealership on Havana, and THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. The manager and his sales people are highly unprofessional, and I would NEVER go back nor would I ever recommend this shady dealership to anyone...EVER! My daughter and I returned to AutoNation where we were treated with dignity and respect, and she left with a great deal on a 2006 Nissan Murano...too easy! I have nothing but good things to say about this dealership and my experience with them! After dealing with another dealership and not getting the results I wanted I decided to dump them and go to TYNAN'S! I got there at 9AM and by 10:30AM I had been approved and got the car I wanted! They gave me a chance and never gave me the run around! I was helped by DJ Scoggins and he was Great! I highly recommend TYNAN'S Pre-owned Store! I will be back when I am ready for my new car!! Can you give 0 stars? This place: awful, waste of time. Classic "used car salesmen." The quick story: after seeing my price inquiry on Kelley's Blue Book, "Alex" texted me and invited me to bring my 4Runner in for an appraisal. I told him, quite clearly, that I had already received an offer from Carmax. Alex suggested, having looked at the information about my truck online, that he could do better. I took an afternoon off work, drove to the business, and provided exactly the same information I had previously provided online. Rather than give me a competitive bid, they lowballed me $1600 less than Carmax. They then told me that because of "hail damage" they would actually offer me even less. What a joke! They clearly thought I made up my Carmax offer for bargaining leverage. What followed was classic "used car salesman" talk. Overall, CARMAX was for more professional. These guys--not so much! read more

Worst car experience. Tried to be optimistic when told that car dealers are sharks that definitely try to take advantage of women. But, that became my reality at this dealership. Was spoken down to, told i was "trained well", told me they'd steal a set of rear headrests from the next cube that came in because mine didn't have any (ok, so what about that car that won't have any?), told me i had already gotten a good deal on the car since someone was fired for lowering the prices on cars and i was one person that got the car for cheaper than it should have been... a 2009 car that originally retailed for $14,000 and they told me i should have paid the $10,500 (7 years since the car was put on the market) it was originally listed at before the markdown... that's funny, what about depreciation and the body damage? Had to go to their boss at Tynans Nissan to tell them about my horrible experience when they tried to have me sign paperwork (which they emailed to me because they were trying to let it slide by) saying that i had gotten the $500 amazon or credit on the car for their December promotion when i was never even offered it. When i confronted them about how i was never offered this promotion but i qualified for it, Sam Hill rudely said if i didn't like the deal he'd take the car back after much banter and that he "didn't care if i signed the paper or not". nothing like a grown man talking down to a 20 year old female and having her walk out in tears because she felt humiliated. Terrible customer service. This review is probably just as confusing as the experience i had as it has taken me 5 months to review the dealership because i am just as angered each time i think of this. I was told by someone in charge that Tynan's doesn't have a good name right now, and i can definitely vouch for that based off of my experience. Jeff Stepsay was the only good thing that came out of this transaction, and he had just started at the dealership the day i showed interest in a car... feel sorry that he has to be surrounded by unprofessional coworkers that made it obvious that they don't respect him because of his age. read more
