I was looking around Colorado Springs to find a car as my old one was no good anymore. While looking around Colorado Springs I ran into people who were pushy and adamant on me financing with them for cars that were not worth the price w/ like a 15% interest rate( crazy). I decided to look around Denver for more options of cars and ran into AutoTrek. Looking online there were a few that had caught my attention and decided to go test drive a Chrysler. I had gotten help from Shawn Rogers who went above and beyond to help me with this process in every way and even was sympathetic towards how other dealers were towards me. I would definitely buy a car from them again if I had to!

I recently purchased a vehicle from AutoTrek. I live in Utah and AutoTrek is in Colorado. Shawn was very helpful in completing the initial steps of the transaction on-line and over the phone. Due to my schedule, AutoTrek had to wait until the weekend for me to fly in to complete the transaction and pick up the truck. Shawn was patient, no pressure at all. When we arrived on Saturday, after the routine driver license photocopy I had the keys in my hand for my first test drive. The truck was exactly as described and shown in the photos. After we returned the transaction was completed with no drama and we were soon on our way. A very pleasant experience all around. I would definitely recommend AutoTrek if you are looking for a quality used vehicle. The photos below are the truck in the parking lot at my work in Utah today.

Purchased a car from TRUNG NGUYEN and couldn't be happier I found a car online after looking for quite some time it was about the right price and in a color that I liked mind you it was a little difficult buying only online because I am from out of state however when I called about the car I spoke to Trung and he was very nice and friendly and professional so that made me a call back again I harassed him many times with questions but he was always very responsive and polite and helpful I don't think I would've bought the car online like this without him being the sales person it made that much of a difference and I finally have my car now he even did some repairs prior to sending it out to me which I truly appreciate he could've just pretended he didn't know something was damaged but he didn't do that so I am happy to say great salesman and AutoTrek should be very grateful to have him on staff because He makes the company look good thanks again Trung you are the man!

And you would think for a dealership with a service dept on site they would diagnose and correct all of the problems before they sell the vehicles, but they don't. They either patch them up and hope you don't notice for two months or I have the worst luck in the world. The vehicle I bought myself ended up being in the shop for at least a month after I discovered it's issue. Thank God I found it a week before my warranty was up or I would have been on the hook for the $5,000 it cost to fix the problem. But it didn't come without a fight. It took the dealership two attempts to fix the vehicle. The first time they fixed the wrong thing, and when I told them I was still having the same issue they told me they weren't going to fix it. We eventually got on the same page and they took my vehicle for another two weeks and finally repaired it. For that I'm grateful. But now the vehicle I bought my grandmother had the check engine light come on. Mechanic comes out to give it a tune up and finds the spark plugs are covered in oil. Boom! It needs a new valve seals. My mechanic says "it looks like it's been this way for quite some time". I bought the car less than a year ago. Unfortunately the warranty has expired on this vehicle. So I'm on the hook for this one. I'm not saying don't buy a vehicle from this dealership. But I am telling you to take your car to a mechanic as soon as you drive it off of the lot to find any issues before your warranty expires. Because from my experience it doesn't seem to me like their service department has their customers best interests at heart.

That statement was false and misleading. When I went to sell the car, I discovered that the DMV had recorded an accident on the vehicle a full year before I bought it. This misrepresentation cost me a $3,000 in lost value, verified by an auto broker who showed me recent comparable sales of nearly identical vehicles. When I raised this issue with CarMax, they refused to accept any responsibility or compensate me for any of the loss in value. CarMax heavily markets "peace of mind" and "transparency," but my experience shows those claims are hollow. If their employees can misrepresent a car's history and the company refuses to make it right, then buyers cannot trust the accuracy of anything they're told. Furthermore, do not rely on the CarMax vehicle inspection to uncover previous damage that would have been discoverable by a competent mechanic. Be certain to complete an independent pre-purchase inspection using a competent mechanic. CarMax misrepresented the vehicle I purchased, and their refusal to stand behind their word shows a lack of integrity. Buyers beware--you could be left with a car worth thousands less than you were led to believe.

It's a no haggle car buying experience and we tend to like that better. The price we paid was reasonable, not dirt cheap but not high. The vehicle we purchased had extra-low miles and was in very good condition. The 3 stars given here are because of the positive nature of that part of our experience. Everything after the sale has been awful. There was one thing that needed to be repaired and they agreed to repair it as part of the sale but said they couldn't do it that day. Turns out they couldn't do for a month! Curious that their service department is that backed up. It was the hazard lights. The switch was either bad or disconnected and we were leaving the state on a road trip, so waiting a month wasn't an option. They decided to get a local Chevy dealership to do it because the vehicle still has full manufacturers warranty. That still had us waiting weeks and having to do it at a time that didn't really work for us. I picked up the phone and called the Chevy dealership a few blocks away from ClearShift and they were able to take us the next day. So we wound up dealing with that ourselves and are still not clear on why we could find next day service and they couldn't. Now it is 5 days until our dealer plate expires and we have not received anything to take to DMV to register and plate. Called the DMV; they have no record of a title application and told us to go back to the dealership, get a new dealer plate, and get a clear picture of why they haven't done this and when they plan to do it. Have called ClearShift more than once, before and after calling the DMV. Can't get a human in that department and nobody returns my calls. Tried texting; so far no response. I would have loved to give them 5 stars. The GM (or owner?) of the dealership was really nice to us, and very accommodating. We were impressed. The salesperson was nice and we didn't have any issues with her. We love the vehicle we purchased. They had good resources for financing. 5 stars was theirs to lose and they're busy losing it. It feels like now that they cannot make any more money off of us, we aren't important. Seems short-sighted. I still (cautiously) recommend them if the right vehicle is there for you. That's the only reason we went there--they had a hard to find truck we really wanted and it was exactly what we'd been seeking and were struggling to find. We truly love it and are not sorry we bought it. We are really frustrated with the very poor after purchase service.

They referred us to the Kia dealer, which I knew would be very expensive. So I did some research online and found Franklynn Automotive. I called and described the situation to Steve. He said they likely can handle it, but would start with a complimentary second opinion. After their inspection, they determined that the hose does not need to be replaced and we only needed to refresh the refrigerant, which they do have the equipment for. In addition, the reason the other shop might have suggested the hose replacement was because of a leak related to the axel. All in, the repairs would be substantially less than the dealer quote for work that may not have been needed in the first place. Overall, great experience with Franklynn.

He was the reason I wanted to get the suspension serviced here as his explanation of what I needed done showed his mastery of his craft. However after taking the car to Tesla to get a 2nd opinion I discovered that this shop (not the tech) was trying to charge me literally a 200% markup on the parts to do the repair. Crazy right!!! The genuine Tesla parts for the repair were $209 and these guys quoted those same parts out to $614 (I sent him the estimate from Tesla with the exact cost of the parts). Unfortunately for me Tesla wouldn't work on the car because of an aftermarket body kit the previous owner had installed. I really liked the mechanic at this shop, so I went back to this shop with the intention to move forward even though their cost was literally 56% more ($1,635 vs $2,555) then Tesla for the same work (because of the price gouging on the parts). Then when I asked about it before my approval to move forward the manager got snarky and said how would you expect us to stay in business if we don't markup the parts. I said and I quote "I get a markup on the parts and your high hourly rate for the labor on the work but not a 200% markup on the parts." The guy gave an excuse about the software they use but was unwilling to budge on the price gouging. I literally said why don't you let me buy the parts directly from Tesla and you can still mark them up 25% and he still said no. I was completely professional throughout the conversation, but obviously would not pay a 200% markup on parts on top of the already top of market labor they charge. After the conversation he texted me back and we agreed to not move forward. I only leave this review to warn others. It's a bad business practice to over charge people like that and so I just wanted to give people my story warning them to watch out and be careful before doing any work here. Update: this slime ball's disclosure of all the information I gave his manager, Steve, in good faith is abhorrent. Everything he mentioned on the car was told to them right up front as I told it to the manager, Steve, in person and this clown is repeating word for word what I told his manager. I was cool with this at first but this guy is a complete scum bag now using my own words and lying about it. Anyways besides being a scum bag, no effort at all was made regarding the parts and this shops 200% markup. I literally told the guy running the shop I would buy the parts myself and let them mark it up 25% and still the answer was a quick no. Everything I said was honest and accurate and don't appreciate this guy claiming transparency when his long shpeel was essentially just a my own words complaining about the car I bought and his shops poor excuse for price gauging. They could have done the job without gauging me on the price given I had the option to buy the parts myself. Not cool at all the response from this guy and his piss poor excuse for attempting to rip me off.
