H M Brown Automotive - Who doesn't want that big red bow on their brand new vehicle?!

Working with Macy at H M Brown was the best car-buying experience I've ever had…read more I found a few cars I liked on the site, and Macy brought them all to my house for test drives. I handled the financing from home too--filled out a quick form online and heard back within hours with a rate lower than anything I'd found shopping around myself. Once we found the car I wanted (a 2024 Mazda in perfect condition), wrapping everything up was incredibly easy. No hidden fees like you get at other dealers. The only time I had to visit their location was to pick up my car and sign a couple papers. This was my first time buying from H M Brown, but now I'm a customer for life.

Extremely disappointing experience with HM Brown Automotive…read more I was purchasing a vehicle through another dealership that had confirmed the vehicle was available in HM Brown's inventory. HM Brown was aware that the other dealership had a buyer for the vehicle and was proceeding with the sale. The next day, when the dealership contacted HM Brown to arrange transportation, they were told that HM Brown had sold the vehicle to someone else. To be clear, this wasn't simply a situation where a vehicle happened to sell before we could buy it. HM Brown knew there was an active transaction involving the vehicle and another dealership, yet chose to sell it out from under that transaction. I understand that dealerships want to sell vehicles, but I also expect businesses to operate with integrity and honor their commitments. This experience made it very clear that I could not trust HM Brown Automotive to do so. I would not recommend this dealership, and based on this experience, I would be very hesitant to do business with them in the future.

If you're in the market for a truck, there is plenty to choose from with their selection of Tundras and Tacomas (definitely the guy-truck crowd!). Autonation has/had a nice selection of gold certified, 2025 4Runners and there was one TRD Premium with only 1,500 miles on it. It was an absolute dream to test drive (everything is nowadays compared to 15yr old "Brady"). Of course, the sticker shock set in once the taxes and fees were added, so I'm still debating any commitment. #ServiceStarShoutOut to Cornell, who was by far the best sales associate to approach us. He took the time to talk with us about the vehicle's features and warranty options without ever making us feel pressured. I totally appreciated his honesty when discussing add-ons, advising us that things like appearance protection (a sticker spotted on many vehicles) aren't always necessary. If you're shopping for a Toyota, I would absolutely recommend asking for Cornell.

He stated, and I have it in a text, that the BZ car I purchased came with 1-year free charging but when I tried to charge it, the charging station told me that promotion is long gone! When I confronted Brian and Toyota, they said sorry we were wrong and offered me a lousy $1000 gift card. Now I am stuck with a car that I dont want and have to pay for charging left and right. Horrible sales technique accompanied with shady business tactics!!! Avoid Brian at all costs!!!!

how this place has 4 starts is insane. AVOID bringing your car to service here at ALL COSTS. they…read moreare just here to rob you of your money and time. they are a group of people that put on a face of "we will help out anyway we can and are doing are best" but they're not at all. they don't care unless your gonna drop a $$$$ bill or more. Here's what we experienced: I own a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. there is currently a safety recall out for the PTU. When i got the mail letting me know i had the recall. i took it in within the next 2days to get it done. simple process. got it done within the day. gave me a sheet saying the recall was preformed and they had no recommendations for my car. it was in really really good condition! little did i know what was to come... anyways, AFTER getting my vehicle back not even 24 hours after they "preformed the recall" a dash light came on that had correlated TO THE RECALL they had "repaired" so i reach out to brody. my service advisor. he advised me i can bring it back by and do a diagnosis for damn near $300 i said no, because the light that came on was the light for the PTU recall. he then said i could swing by and they can bring the scanner out to the vehicle and get it checked out at no cost. i said id pass by, never got the chance to. day or two goes by. i'm driving to the store and the car completely stops accelerating. engine still had power but no forward movement. i have my fiance look at it since he is a mechanic. turns out it was THE RECALL. so we have it towed to autonation since they were the last one to touch my car. (note: my car has been running PERFECTLY FINE before they got ahold of it) we call them the next day letting them know what happened and they said they would look into it and every time we asked (which is basically everyday) they said they still hadn't gotten anything. couple weeks later they claim they have chrysler involved in this. (i call bs) they supposedly say everyone is involved to help us out. GIVING FALSE HOPE like i bet they do to EVERY single one of their customers. FINALLY after a MONTH. A MONTH, of it sitting in their shop, not having my car. they come back and say. "Chrysler cannot cover this since it it out of warranty." WRONG. i tell them i have that extended warranty by the manufacturer and they still stand on it being out of the warranty even though ITS IN WRITING that my car has a 8yr/125k warranty on the ptu, my car has 117k miles... idiots. finally were fed up. the only helpful thing they did this entire month was let me have a loaner.. Henry the service manager is a total c***su****. so ignorant and so RUDE. to end this headache, we had them put it back together and we towed it to Castle Rock Jeep. they got us an answer, a loaner car and a BRAND NEW PTU, covered PAID FOR BY JEEP, within 1 1/2 week. it took Autonation almost a month and a half to tell me some bs. DO NOT SERVICE HERE. if you're gonna take your car ANYWHERE, make the drive to CASTLE ROCK JEEP. They actually care, and don't see u as a bag of money like autonation does. AUTONATION IS A GREEDY GROUP OF A HOLES.

I actually got the price i wanted for the Jeep, and a great price for my trade. I blew through the finance office without the "upgrade" sales pitch and was out of there in breeze. Maybe it was a "Freaky Friday" kind of evening but everything went super smooth. I will be checking out this dealership again the next time I'm in the market for a new vehicle.
