It is possible that the sales end of this place is lovely and takes really great care of its customers. I would never recommend the service side to anyone. I used them for years and never had a problem. The past few times I've visited (or been unable to visit) have been a complete disaster. I've waited 3 hours for an oil change to be completed with an appointment and when I inquired about how much time it had taken was met with a condescending attitude. The hood on my car was left open by a tech. It was a good thing I happened to notice it as I was walking around the front of my car or I would have driven off with it like that. I haven't been back for a while but am in a pinch to get my car serviced so I just booked an appointment online. After getting a confirmation I received an email saying that my appointment could not be completed. Just unreliable overall. read more

I'm updating my 1-star to a 3-star review. We encountered some pretty significant problems during financing and service. I'm updating the review because upper management (TJ, Jin, Steven) have been great to work with and I appreciate their prompt attention and professionalism in handling our issues. Our Salesperson, Stephanie, was fantastic - she did such a good job and wasn't high pressure at all. The dealership also does an admirable job with their Covid protections, we felt perfectly comfortable there health-wise. My warning to future customers: don't buy their clear bra. It is amateur using cheap products. Our clear bra was returned incomplete, crooked, hazy, and bubbly. It was so bad that they ended up refunding us and compensating for outside repairs. Schomp should leave Clear Bra to the professionals, like every other Subaru dealership. The only reason I didn't bring it up to 5 stars: - Sales Manager Alice Hausig: She screwed up during financing and instead of being a professional and fixing the problem, she chose to have a profane temper tantrum. Alice thought that screaming and cursing at customers was the solution to her mistake. read more

Shortline is the #2 best selling Subaru dealer in the nation and it deserves more than 3 stars! Heuberger Subaru CO Springs is #1 best selling. Call and ask for the English guy David Cardwell (Internet Sales Manager). He will give you a straight forward quote usually lower than invoice price. The edmunds.com app is very helpful to look up options and you can even special order to your exact specs with a $500 deposit. Trade in value is lower than market value but you pay less sales tax on the new car so do your homework and compare. Shortline charges a mandatory $500 dealer fee on top of your final price. I believe Heuberger Subaru charges $400 and Ralph Schomp is the only dealer I know that do not charge fees. Now when you get to the end finance and insurance will try to hard sell you warranties and accessories. This is standard practice and it's ultimately up to you to say yes or no, they can't force you to buy something. Warranties sometimes can pay off if you own the car for more than 5-10 years. I recommend Ralph Schomp if your going Honda or BMW, they also list their prices online. Happy shopping. read more

I have taken my car here for all of its general maintenance and recall and have had nothing but great experiences. When it came to getting new tires, I was concerned about the financial burden and not being able to afford the tires I need, but Jimmy, over at the express department, went above and beyond for me. He did research on good tires more in my price range & worked with my budget. Jimmy was truly the best. Can't say enough nice things about him!! Plus my service was incredibly speedy! read more

I purchased a 2022 Outback Wilderness in December of 2021. I received the vehicle with body damage, among other issues. The vehicle was promptly returned and Schomp went about sourcing a new bumper. Roughly three months, and three bumpers, later I was told that they would be sourcing an OEM part for the fourth attempt. Where was Schomp sourcing their parts from if not from an OEM supplier? Roughly four months later the vehicle was returned to me with the fourth bumper painted and installed. On my way back to my apartment, I noticed that I had an information light on and upon further investigation I found the rear active braking feature to be inoperable. The vehicle went back to Schomp for repair. A week or two later it was returned to me, sorted. The lack of urgency from Schomp and Subaru America was shocking. How Subaru maintains leadership in customer satisfaction is beyond me. I purchased a $50,000 vehicle, my first new car, for a birthday/Christmas gift to myself and essentially didn't have it for a quarter to a third of 2022. After the months of molestation, I optioned the buy-back and have put the money into sorting out my 1996 B4000. read more

I was loaned a loaner vehicle and after a couple days the tire needed air. I went to the service center and Amanda said she would find someone to help me. Well the lady Amanda found to assist was too busy to do it. The lady marched over to air hose in a way that made me wonder why she was so hasty. None the less, Amanda followed her. The lady showed Amanda how to put air in the tire. She then left Amanda to finish the other 3 tires. Never saw her again after that. Not sure what that lady had going on but putting air in the loaner vehicle wasn't one of them. Amanda then showed me how to put air in the tire and was very patient and helpful with me. Five stars for Amanda. _______________________________________________________ I give 3 stars to the Dealers. The vehicle that was purchased 2/7/2022 has been "in service" since 2/21/2022 going on 9 days tomorrow. The last update was 2/25/2022 stating they were still testing and inspecting the vehicle and would let me know when there is an update. Today is 2/28/2022 & nothing. read more

Schomp Subaru does a great job servicing our Subaru Legacy. It's very easy to make an appointment on-line. They send email confirmations, as well as a text confirmation. I like both of those. The email confirmation tells me which service entrance to go to. I'm never sure if I go to the Express Service, or the Regular Service entrance. Thanks for that Schomp. Their Service Waiting area is comfortable and clean. Free coffee (etc) and a few snacks, are also available. You can watch TV while you wait. The restrooms are also clean, and the area where they service the cars too. I know that I can depend upon Schomp Subaru Service to take care of my car, and me. Oops! Have to go, my car is ready. I spoke with Stephen Bosley for a couple weeks and twice he sold cars right under my nose. The second time, I was showing up and as I pulled into the lot, he sold the car to someone else when I told him for hours throughout the day I was coming and even told him when I was on my way. He tells me after it's sold that they do holding deposits but on the first day he told me cars were first come first serve. I'm never going back to this dealership. read more

This dealership treated me right. My Subaru began acting up one day before a road trip. Of course this was a Friday. The manual said to take the car in for service right away, with the symptoms it was displaying, so there I was on Saturday morning trying to get my repair done "right now." I was distraught, to say the least, and no one wanted an old grey-haired lady sobbing in their waiting room, surely. There was no way the service folks could get me in that day -- they were booked all day -- but the service guy stuck with me, found me a loaner and I was able to reshuffle stuff and reschedule the trip. By Monday afternoon I had my Subaru back. With trepidation, I set off on the road trip. Obviously it functioned just fine. I'm feeling "safe" with my Subaru again. Yes, the price is higher here, but the service is outstanding. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, absolutely terrible service and the place is full of people who maybe completed a first grade education. Took my brand new Subaru wrx with 15k miles in to see what a specific alarm means and they told me I'd need to make an appointment multiple weeks out and pay a shit ton of money for them to diagnose the car. There's probably 3 alarms in total that Subarus produce so why the hell if you tell me you have somebody who probably knows what it is and is right there would you have me make an appointment. Money hungry bastards. read more

I've been a costumer of Subaru Habana for almost 10 years. Since Schomp took control of the place, everything has changed in the bad way. Their website is very confusing, with too many phone numbers, also costumer service on the phone is not very friendly. Anyways, I scheduled an appointment 10 days ago to put 4 new tires and do the alignment on my 2017 Subaru Outback. I've called two times before the day of my appointment to make sure they ordered and got the correct tires. Guess what??? I got there the day of my appointment and they told me that they ordered the wrong tires. Really? Well, I had to leave my car another day and when I picked the car up, the steering wheel was crooked and the car was pulling to the right. I spent 2 days in Subaru Schomp just to replace the tires of my car. Bringing your car for a repair should be something nice, not a nightmare. "Subaru Schomp" get your act together! read more

Worst service. dropped the car prior to the appointment time early in the morning. and it took whole day to do a brake pad change. Left a feedback, and got a response call saying they had 140 cars a day to take care of. They have a special queue system, but I think it s more of a stack system since my car was dropped off early in the morning and got done right before they closed. Making an shitty excuse on the call makes even more angry. When you drop you car here, plz allow yourself extra 8 hrs than actual repair time. your car wont be queued as you expect. read more

I had an awful experience at Schomp Subaru. I lost my programmed Subaru key and was told by my service supervisor that the only option to have the key reprogrammed was to send the ECU to New Jersey which would take 1 to 2 weeks and cost $1.5 to $2k. I asked if there could be any other solution and she insisted that this was the only option. The next day I had a locksmith come check out the vehicle and he reprogrammed a key for a few hundred dollars. The locksmith told me this happens a lot and Subaru dealerships insist on reprogramming the whole system when it is unnecessary. Either Schomp Subaru is oblivious to this or they are trying to make extra money by exploiting their customers. read more

This dealership has been calling and emailing me to come in for a factory-ordered recall yet when I attempted to schedule an appointment, the word: No" was used frequently. Good dealership but some of the personnel can be rude to the customers. Noah was a gem though and helped me find the car that I wanted.

Since we bought it, all the services done by this dealership, not cheap! Had 1 recalls back in March, unfortunately i forgot to take the picture of the engine. Just this past month the clutch stop working and had it towed to my good friend's shop, and got it fixed. Then he found out more stuffs from the previous work from the dealer, crusted oil spills, loose screws, & the most obvious; missing engine cover etc. The young man; Joaquin, he done right by us. Unfortunately we had to keep on pushing him to ask for engine cover etc. We just feel like we have to fight for our right!! and learned not to be gullible, know your stuf Not the fun!! When to go have my first oil change on my 2019 Subaru STi, service was decent, everything looked good. When I went to get my next service. I saw my oil level was at 3 quarts and all my bolts were loose that held my undercarriage cover and I was missing 2 clips... I know I don't drive wreckless, and my oil change was changed according to the mileage that was recommended. Shomp Subaru was the only service I've received on my vehicle. Upon trying to reach out to a manager, I was placed on hold by the Service Department and hung up on... Talk about being professional. Buying a car at Shomp was a good experience. I wanted to write an update. I am going on 2 months since my car has been in the shop that I bought in January. Schomp has offered to buy the lemon back from me at $2k less than what I paid for it. FYI there is a class action lawsuit against Subaru for these issues. Beware of this shady dealership not afraid to sell lemons. read more

I've been driving Subarus since 1992. I've been using Schomp Subaru service center since 2013 when they were Shortline. I moved away from the Denver area last year and I was back for a visit when my TPMS light came on and would not go off even after I added air to the tires. I called Schomp service for advice and was pleasantly surprised when they told me to come in--no appointment needed. In less than an hour they gave my WRX an inspection, reset the TPMS, and I was on my way--no charge. EVERYONE at the service center were so nice! I only wish the Subaru dealership at my new location was this responsive. read more

I bought my first "new" vehicle here. New to me, but a used car. I have never purchased a vehicle from a dealership before, my previous vehicles have been from private sales. I want to say, the vehicle has been wonderful. I am very happy with my Forester. My one star is primarily because of the lack of helpfulness from the staff. From sales to service my experience has been extremely poor. I cannot believe how unhelpful people are. And, at times, openly hostile. I won't share my purchase story, but I was so frustrated I cried at the desk of the sales person (embarrassing, very). I thought maybe it was the wrong day at the dealership or an off day for me. But my experience has been consistently unfriendly and, even more so, unhelpful. It seems like people genuinely dislike their work. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change today, a package I purchased with the loan, and because the vehicle was used, old information seemed to be in the computer. As I was speaking to the service person, she told me she had no record of my package. As I tried (repeatedly) to explain, she stares at me, and half scoffs saying "your oil change won't be free." As though I wasn't being honest. I explained, still, further and (finally) and with a deep sigh, she said she'd contact the finance department and I could go wait in the sitting area. I kept thinking maybe I had gotten it wrong and didn't understand the loan package. About five minutes later, she came in, chipper, saying she had found it. Her attitude completely changed once she figured out the info (and that I was their customer). More than anything, I would have liked to have been given the benefit of the doubt and have been treated kindly. I felt like I had done something wrong. I regret buying the service package because it means going back to Shortline. read more

I've been going to Schomp Subaru for 5 years every and any time Ive needed help with servicing on my Subaru cars, and they have always been so amazing. Every employee I have ever worked with has always gone above and beyond to tell me what they recommend and what they can do to work with my budget. And if there were times that I could only afford an oil change and nothing more, they've never pressured me to spend more - just told me what to keep in mind in terms of the safety of my vehicle. Today especially was awesome -- I had a whole bunch of services I needed that were gonna cost a pretty penny. They helped me immensely figure out how to get all of the services taken care of while also working with my budget to create a payment plan. Special shout out to Chris and Michael in the express service department. Really appreciate you guys and no matter where I live in the greater Denver area, I will continue to drive the distance to only go to this location!!!! read more

Huge shoutout to the whole Schomp Subaru team, especially Ian VanDyke. I've been taking my 2016 Crosstrek to them anytime I have issues and they have been beyond great. Every time I'm there I'm blown away by their courteousness, kindness, communication, and competence. Ian was incredible. He communicated so well and made me feel so well taken care of throughout the entire experience. I could not be happier with the service they provide and the lengths they go to help the customers. They even give you a Lyft to and from the dealership while you wait for your car. Working with Ian relieved any of my concerns and I felt 100% comfortable with their service on my vehicle. 10/10 - communication 10/10 - customer support 10/10 - service Great work team! I STRONGLY suggest going here for any and all of your car's needs. read more

Have brought my Forester for an oil consumption test for the second time now. Subaru didn't have any record of the first test! My car simply can't go the expected time without the oil light turning on and needing additional oil. This has now been a problem for a year. Subaru felt the oil consumption was OK but then highly suggested I change an oil sensor for almost $800. I explained the sensor was fine because when the oil light came on in the car, the oil was indeed SUPER LOW. So the sensor is actually working fine. That didn't seem to matter, that was the only thing they wanted to do. Turns out, as I've now researched the issue, Subaru has had an issue with oil consumption in this model of Subarus for a long time. It seems Subaru is trying to avoid fixing the real problem by making me replace functioning parts. Really not impressed yet again with the service at Schomp Subaru. read more

Takeshi Haroni was an absolute asshole. Misogynistic, rude, inappropriate, and foul. Reported him to the dealership, was promised a follow up phone call with a manager, it never happened. While this happened a couple of years ago; of all the car buying experiences I've had over the years, my experience at Shortline Subaru is by far the worst! I had my heart set on a specific model and model year, and was going to barter with everything I had in me to get it. When the salesman "worked the numbers" he said it would be $699 a month. I literally laughed outloud. This started the classic "You write down what you want to spend" and the "Let me ask my manager" routine. They valued my trade-in thousands of dollars less than Kelly Blue Book because they "Don't use the Kelly Blue Book." And then they held my trade hostage when I was ready to walk out by saying that it was still out on the testdrive. Really, 3 hours after I'd given it to you to check out?! All in all I was there until well after closing, and had to watch very closely so they didn't change numbers on me. I love my Subaru but this experience (which can only be expressed without its full weight online) was so horrible that I wrote a letter to Subaru's corporate office. I will never buy a car from them again, let alone step into their building. read more

I used to like them because they had an efficient system, but I recently slipped through the cracks in their system and I didn't appreciate the way they treated me and gaslit me about my car. I was concerned about my transmission, which they had recently replaced. I took it in for an oil change and asked them to look at the brakes and the transmission because I was getting ready for the road trip. The guy said yeah, they did some kind of timing test and it wasn't catching right, so I'd have to bring it in for service. They immediately had me make an appointment and the service guy and everyone was totally on board with me needing to have my transmission looked at. So I brought it in and they looked at it and told me there was nothing wrong with it! So I texted the service guy and asked why did they tell me there was something wrong with the transmission when I got the oil change? And then he started gaslighting me! Saying that that team doesn't do that and there's nothing in the paperwork about it. He denied that when we made the appointment we were all on the same page for what needed to be done. So I had to pay them for the diagnostic fee and I was without my car for a day and they did nothing to fix it and they gaslit me about it via text the whole day, even though they agreed with me previously that there was something wrong with it. Update: All of the following information is still true, but I did get some help with repairing the damage eventually. Some money will still be out of pocket to fix it, but I'm better off than I was. Online and out of state buyers beware when buying certified used. I had a wonderful salesman up until I got picked up at the airport. I noticed a 0.75 inch round dent in the passenger door of my dealership owned 2021 Crosstrek (3100 miles) that I was not aware of until then. It was touched up with paint but still very noticeable as the dent penetrated the outer door panel. There in one door ding on each side too. I was told the price reflected the damage ($1000 discount), but not knowing I was buying a damaged vehicle is not okay. The sales manager did call (while I was driving through the mountains with no service) and left a message, but trying to talk to someone after that was not easy. After talking to a manager higher up, I was told the ORIGINIAL, NEW sticker price was discounted only $500 for the miles and general "used" state plus $1000 was taken off for the dent. If I had known, I'd have gone else where and bought new. Certified used "pricing" at Schomp just isn't worth the trouble. read more
