Mike Schneider has been my go-to plumber for years. He quickly responds to calls, works efficiently, leaves the site clean, and always charges a reasonable rate. Over the years, I've had a lot of plumbers. From the first time Mike did a repair for me, I've never called anyone else. I know that I can trust him to do the job well. read more

Mike is a really responsive and responsible guy. Good rates and good work, I've used him both for work at our house as well as at my workplace. He's out go-to! read more

The short version: Mike was great! The longer version: we experienced a total blockage with all bathroom fixtures backing up (toilet, shower and sink). Mike was super responsive - called me back within 15 minutes and was at our house 30 minutes after that. It took him less than an hour to set up and clear the blockage caused by grandma flushing a couple "flushable" wipes down the toilet. Old pipes apparently just need the whisper of an excuse to clog. Nothing funnier than your plumber bringing incriminating evidence against grandma! read more

Just the best! Helpful, reliable, quality work. I can't imagine contacting anyone else.

Mike is just awesome - he's like family to us. He is reliable, friendly, professional & very reasonably-priced. We have used him for all of our plumbing needs for 14 years & we have referred many people to him. If you are easy to work with & friendly, I would highly recommend Mike to you. If you are abrasive, angry, nit-picky, cheap or otherwise difficult to deal with, then please call someone else. read more

Micheal is an amazing guy! Professional work and friendly guy. I need two new valves for my washer. Today is my first time get help from him and I plan to stay with his service. Paid with zelle and it is easy. Micheal also provides one year warranty for his work. Two thumbs up! read more

Mike is one fine plumber. One - I called him over to install a new kitchen faucet two weeks ago. As it turned out, the kit was missing several key parts. Mike refused to take any money and we rescheduled. After installing the new faucet - Mike refused to accept any additional money for his trouble on the first visit. This gentleman is outstanding and one of the most honest individuals I have ever met. Honestly is a very important factor in selecting a plumber - Mike will not let you down. read more

I had a great experience with Schneider plumbing. Another company came first to attempt to clear a clogged drain. They could not get it cleared and recommended ripping out the stucco on the outside of my house to replace the drain pipe at a cost of $10K! Luckily I got Mike to come out later that afternoon. With his hard work and persistence he was able to successfully snake the drain! Prompt timing, fair price and honest business dealing. I would recommend Schneider Plumbing to anyone in the South Bay and I definitely know who I will call with another plumbing problem. read more

Visiting my parents in the South Bay beach cities and a toilet starts to run slow. We suspect its the "inside of the tank" equipment that needs to be replaced. And they have a few sinks that need some attention by a plumber too. Found Schneider Plumbing here on YELP and very glad I did! Connected with Mike and he had a spot open later in the week so he could evaluate and fix the several plumbing issues. It's clear that Mike has the expertise and knowledge to fix most (or all?) plumbing issues. He's efficient, he arrived on time - and also was a good communicator when scheduling the meeting and also while here, to explain what the issue is, and when suggesting solutions. And - in this time of COVID - he's wearing a mask in addition to the booties over his shoes, to keep your floors/carpets clean. We highly recommend Schneider Plumbing! read more

Mike is the very first Plummer did not over charged me. Thank you very much for your honest work and patience. read more

Professional, so professional. I have never had anyone so knowledgeable, courteous, honest, and provide such high quality service!!! Mike wears a plastic cover on his shoes to keep the floor clean, provided very precise assessment of the situation and then fixed the problem with permanent fix (not a quick fix). We hired a plumber last year who did a quick fix which resulted in a problem a year later. Mike fixed it right this time. Price was extremely reasonable and you just feel so good that you hired a great plumber you can trust. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! read more

Anytime we call Mike he always lets us know how long it will take and how much. He does great work and even tells us if he's too busy to get to it soon. He's been out go-to plumber for almost 10 years since we moved back to Torrance! read more

We found out for ourselves why Mike has great Yelp reviews. We discovered a leak on a Saturday, but it had stopped. He was working on other leaks that were more urgent, and rescheduled us for another day. This lets me know that if we ever are unfortunate to have an emergency gushing leak, he would try to prioritize ours over less critical issues, as well. On the arranged day, he did a wonderful job! Showed up on time, used high quality parts only available to contractors, cleaned up, and did the job efficiently. Clear, simple explanations and instructions to help his customers maintain their pipes and fixtures in good shape. Even at his expert level, he does not talk over your head, speaks to you like a real human being. Quality guy, quality work. read more

Michael Schneider is like finding a needle in the haystack. Mike has been my go to plumber for many years. Mike is not only a professional and knowledgeable plumber, he is also an honest, dependable person you can count on to do you right. read more

I'm so grateful that Mike was able to come to our house quickly and clear out the pipe from our kitchen sink. He was not only competent and extremely diligent about not making a mess, but he was a pleasure to talk to. His price was reasonable and includes a 90-day guarantee. I'll call him for sure next time we need a plumber!! read more

Mike Schneider does a fantastic job. He just completed putting in a new toilet and vanity/sink in my small bathroom and it came out beautiful. He helped me pick out new fixtures, picked them up at the store and installed them. Going from a pedestal sink to a vanity was a big change for me as I was concerned with the small space we had to work with, but he was right and I am very happy with the outcome. Mike is not only totally professional and reliable but super clean in his workspace. Everything shined when he was done! I would strongly recommend Mike for your plumbing needs. read more

Mike is very good at details and taking care of the little things... On time and good service.

Mike was extremely responsive and was able to move our appointment up when our clogged kitchen sink worsened. He was polite, professional, clean (he wore booties in our shoe-free house), and got the job done quickly. He charged exactly as quoted and also gave us maintenance tips. We're really glad to have him in our neighborhood and will be calling him again if we have other plumbing problems. Highly recommended. read more

Been using Mike for a few years now. First of all...he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's extremely hard working and skilled at his job. He's saved us countless times and always is prompt about when he can show up and honest in his opinions. I highly recommend him to friends and family knowing they're always in good hands with him. read more

Thank you Mike S. for providing friendly professional timely service at an affordable price. Everytime I have used your services, you have been dependable and reliable. Mike S., the owner, came with mask & booties, and cleaned up the place after cleaning out the laundry washer stand-pipe drain back-up. He also made sure that the other possible pipes like kitchen drain and dishwasher drain were not the underlying cause. read more

Mike is very professional and punctual. He'll let you know if there are any delays and you can trust that he does a good job. We have been calling him for all of our plumbing issues and have recommended him whenever anyone asks for referrals. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we appreciate that he wears a mask and uses shoe covers when entering the house. We highly recommended him for anyone looking for an honest and professional plumber. read more

Schneider Plumbing is terrific. I have had Mike replace the copper pipe under my kitchen area and install an automatic gas shut off. Both times he was timely, neat, a good communicator and reasonably priced. It's great to have an experienced plumber who is honest. read more

Sorry for the late review. 2 weeks ago we called Mike to fix a wobbly toilet we had been putting off fixing. I mentioned to Mike that our shower was dripping and we had been over tightening it to stop the drip. Not the right way to fix it, it was older and I knew it needed repair, but more procrastinating on my end. We didn't want to have the headache of dealing with plumbing issues. He said he would take a look and let us know. He came over for our appointment, fixed the toilet and even had the parts to fix the shower. He did great work, quickly, neatly and priced fairly. Very nice not to be overcharged. I haven't been working because of my health, and he was very safe with his mask and booties in our home. He does his job well and it shows in the fit and finish. Nothing but the highest recommendation for plumbing repair. He is our go to person for our future plumbing needs. We checked out the yelp reviews and mike stood out among the rest. He is the guy coming to do the work, not a big chain sending a different guy every time you need a plumber. He returned the call, he gave us a window of when he could be there, and would call if he was running behind schedule. He showed up on time and prepared. read more

Mike Schneider is extremely responsive, timely, conscientious, and professional. He did an excellent job repairing our bathroom toilet issues in short order, even though the toilet was in dire need of repair (including it's intake hose and valve). It's a great feeling to be able to leave our home now and not fear returning to a flooded house! Mike's workmanship was outstanding and his price very competitive. Highly recommend. read more

I have called Schneider Plumbing several times in the past and Mike recently came to our aid once again. We had a few minor plumbing issues the other day and he answered the phone on the first ring and came the next day right when he said he would. He stayed for several hours, fixed the issues, and charged an incredibly fair price. He is highly professional, very experienced/competent, and is respectful of your house/property. Overall, I can't recommend Schneider Plumbing high enough! read more

I needed a Plumber, quick! Went to Yelp, like I always do, and filtered for 5 stars only. Mike has a ton of them! Called him at 1:15 pm, he answered, we had a short conversation, and Mike was knocking on my door 20 mins later!! WOW, I wasn't even ready for him. This guy wears booties and gloves in your home! He troubleshot the problem, gave me alternatives and let me decide. I decided to return the new faucet and get another one. He was cool with that, as his job was done, and he was always professional and courteous throughout (I ask a lot of questions!!) Call Mike, as the others have suggested, and you can't go wrong! read more

Had a leaky toilet, ran by itself between flushes. Guy from Schneider came out, said it wasn't the flapper (which would be the usual cause), but the whole flush mechanism needed replacing, The cost of disassembling and reassembling the toilet plus parts would be almost as much as replacing the toilet, so I should replace the toilet. No charge for the estimate. Guy from Pro Plumbers came next, said it was definitely the flapper, replaced it on the spot, verified no leaking. After a month, still no leaks read more

Mike Schneider is highly competent, honest and easy to work with. I have used his services on several occasions and the outcome has always been favorable. I appreciate that he is licensed, has reasonable rates and treats each job with professionalism. I have recommended Mike to friends, family and neighbors which I wouldn't do unless I had 100% confidence in his company. Jerrell Stark, South Bay, CA read more

Mike is great at what he does. He is punctual, professional, friendly and informative. He is very popular, so plan on booking a week or so in advance if possible. We had him come on a Wednesday morning to install a new sink in our bathroom. He also cleaned out our drain very thoroughly and ensured that everything was satisfactory before calling his work complete. His price for our work was $190 and includes a 1-year warranty on the workmanship, so he stands by his effort. Hopefully we won't need him again anytime soon, but if we do need a plumber he is our go-to now. read more

Mike is a plumber that not only knows his stuff but he knows how to take care of his customers! My elderly Mom needs a bit of kids gloves and by the time he completed replacing her toilet and valve..she was hugging him. Super fair prices and SUPER work and that magic one...Customer Service. I would recommend him to all! read more

Mike scheduled me for 1 pm, then called before showing up a little early to fix my laundry drain. I can't tell you the number of times I've had late plumbers before Mike. He used the auger on the drain a few times, pulled out the block, then ensured that it would drain a few times before discovering that my garbage disposal had loosed some of the fittings under the sink. Instead of just tightening things up, he spent an additional hour replacing the pipes and fittings until he was satisfied that it was right and tight. Then, instead of gouging me, he only charged a small fee for the extra job! In addition to the well performed job, he wore booties over his work boots, was professional and courteous with my animals, and was a nice guy by offering advice on some other jobs that I'm going to attempt for myself. read more

Once again yelp doesn't fail. Cheaper than most other plumbers and does a better job. Would recommend him to others. Very professional. Thanks mike for great service if we need a plumber calling you again. I have recently called Mike for others things since we rent and he fixes it promptly. Why would you call anyone else I do not know. Still a great man over a year later read more

I am very lucky to have met Mike Schneider in 2020 while visiting my elderly mother in Rolling Hills Estates. It was clear to me after our first interaction that Mike is extremely professional, honest and funny. And he is also an excellent plumber. Since that initial visit, he has visited my mother two additional times, for other plumbing issues, and I arranged these visits from San Francisco, where I live. He always keeps me informed of his progress, and my mother and I continue to be super happy with his work. As an example of Mike's honesty, his most recent visit required fixing my mother's water heater rather than replacing it. He suggested the fix (versus buy) route given my mother lives alone and he thought her 10 year old water heater still had a number of years of useful life. I really appreciate this honesty and knowing that he is going to take good care of my mother, even while I am at home in San Francisco. I highly, highly recommend Mike Schneider for any of your plumbing needs. read more

I have used Mike for plumbing issues multiple times for a reason. He's punctual, reliable, and always does a great job. His prices are very reasonable too. He always cleans up after himself, wears booties inside, and is just really easy to work with. I will only be using Mike in the South Bay! read more

I am the first First time customer. Toilet backing up, checked yelp and found him with 5 shining stars. He came next day right on time. Honest, straight forward. Tried auguring manually, did not work. Said he is going to try from the roof top but charge me a little more which was reasonable. Augured from the roof top for about 15 minutes and the clog seemed to clear. But by the evening, the toilet backed up again. He cancelled some other appt and came next day. This time he took a huge auger to the roof top and worked, seemed to clear it when he came down and tried the toilet a couple of times, backed up again. This way he did 4 times going up and down the ladder and auguring, did not work. Finally the 5th time it worked. He came down, tried the toilet for almost half an hour dropping chunks of toilet paper trying the flush. After using up two huge rolls of toilet paper, and satisfying himself that it is working fine, he left. I wish he could use the camera and see what the obstruction is once for all but it is expensive processFast forward 3 days, toilet is working fine thankfully and I am grateful to mike for his relentless effort in clearing our toilet. He is the man I will be calling first from now on whenever i have a plumbing problem. Thank you Mike, you deserve 10 stars!! Update; Had problem with the other bath room. He worked from the cleanout outside the bath room. Said it was toilet paper clogging. Charged me $139. Sewer clogged again after 24 hours. Came back after couple of days because he had doctor appointments. He snaked again and tested by flushing bunch of toilet paper. Clogged again. Snaked again and same thing happened. Said he is not able to clear the clog. Asked me to get a rooter or another plumber. Offered to give me my money back but I let him have it. Called HV plumbing and heating. Vincent cleared the clog in 10 minutes, charged $66. Gave me 6 months warranty. It has been 5 months and no problem. Disappointed in mike that he could not solve the problem. Update: After I updated the original review, Mike wrote me a nice letter and sent me a check. I did not ask him for the money but he just felt that it is not right to keep the money because he could not finish the job. That shows he has honor and I like people with honor. For that reason, I am upping Mike to 3 stars. read more
