Awesome experience, start to finish. I reached out through Yelp early in the morning to deal with backed up bathroom sinks, and Victor called me back about an hour later. He said he was working on a job site about an hour away, but said he could come at 5 that day if I could wait. Honest plumber!! After having a few bad experiences with other plumbers in Culver City, a friend referred me to Victor and I'm grateful for that recommendation. Victor was honest, reviewed the issues my property was experiencing and offered a fair-priced and timely solution. He worked tirelessly for hours to re-pipe our entire gas line from the main into the house. He tested and checked his work and waited for the Gas Co to clear the installation. Everything was perfect! I bought a washing machine and the installers couldn't turn off the water valves easily, they said they were corroded, and they refused to install the machine. I called Victor and he came over the next day to take a look. He looked at the valves, ascertained they were fine, turned them off, and unhooked the washing machine tubes. At this point, I was already so happy that my valves were fine and I could get my washing machine installed. Then, Victor looked at the naked valves and said he didn't feel good about leaving them like that, so took one of the water hoses and connected off both valves in order to catch any leaks. Then he refused payment! I finally got him to take some money for his time. He has earned all of my plumbing business from here on out! read more

Victor is great at what he does: he's on time, very respectful of your property, had a mask on and was socially distanced whenever he was around us. Circulation's Victor Herrera fixed the plumbing leak in a bathroom at my parents' house. He did an excellent job, not only on the plumbing but in dealing with my parents, who are around 90 years old, persnickety, crotchety, complain-y, and paranoid that they're being taken advantage of (which, for the record, is not a completely unfounded paranoia). My stepdad is 90 and used to work in construction. He can't work on the house himself anymore, and nobody can do (whatever it is) as well as he could've done it himself. Enter Victor. He listened to my parents and looked everything over. They said he was patient and explained everything and answered their questions. The space under their house is a complicated affair, and Victor planned his job accordingly. He finished the job on time and at the price agreed upon. Then my stepdad got under the house to look at it. Apparently he thought he'd have done it differently. My parents wanted a city inspector to check it out. Victor came back and did a virtual tour with an inspector, who told my parents that the work was excellent. Thank you, Victor. In addition, while working on the bathroom, Victor had removed and then replaced some floor boards. Afterward, though, the floor seemed to sag there. My parents blamed him until they looked under the linoleum to see that the bathroom floor had been originally constructed with pressboard over those boards, not even plywood. The shower pan has been leaking and the whole thing is corroded. It gave out when the nearby boards were moved, but that's because they are basically moldy sawdust now. It's not the plumber's fault. But that's a job for another day. I hope Victor is willing to come back if they decide to fix the shower. read more

Victor is smart, knowledgeable, and skillful. He is also likeable. He replaced three of my outside faucets, and while doing so, discovered that the copper pipe just upstream of one of the faucets had a flaw in it that could develop into a leak. He cut away the pipe just upstream of that flaw, and quickly soldered on a new pipe. The workmanship could not have been better. A couple of months later, I thought I needed a new toilet and selected a replacement. Victor agreed that I did need a new toilet and explained why our existing 75-year-old toilet was giving us problems. But he said the Toto Washlet (bidet seat) that I wanted on the toilet could not be installed on the Toto toilet I had selected. He was right. Fortunately, I had not yet ordered the replacement toilet. I then selected and ordered a toilet that was compatible with the bidet seat, and Victor installed the toilet and the bidet seat like the pro that he is. He also replaced the damaged stopper in the bathroom sink. He selected the replacement stopper, and I am glad he made the selection, and I didn't have to. I will hire Victor again for any future plumbing work. read more
