And Man, am I glad I asked for a referral! John came by within 1 hr of my initial outreach to check out the situation and set up. After it became clear that a replacement was the only realistic option, John walked me through 3 different options to consider, the considerations of each on performance and installation and said he would follow up with estimates later that evening (which he did). I green lit it that evening and John was able to come by the very next day and complete the job in a very timely manner and left the place spotless. I've found my new go-to plumber!

I was impressed by how quickly John S. diagnosed our drainage blockage just by looking at the clean-out hole in the garage. He immediately determined that the issue wasn't in the section from the hole to the street. Another plumbing company had told me that section needed a lining, quoting me $20,000, but John was confident that wasn't the case. John was very smart and efficient -- instead of removing our toilet to snake the line, he simply snaked through a shower drain next to the toilet. He found that tree roots had invaded the pipe. Realizing that meant our pipes were likely broken, we decided to replace them based on John's recommendation. On the first day, Kevin and Cannon made up the team. They worked perfectly together -- Kevin was extremely knowledgeable, and Cannon was a great assistant. As expected, they dug out all the broken pipes and replaced them with new ABS piping. We also had them replace the old piping in the kitchen area. During the job, Kevin discovered that the pipe to the bar sink was half rotten and leaking water into the exterior wall. Even though this was outside the original scope of work, he quickly fixed it by cutting an opening in the wall -- and didn't charge extra! I really appreciated that level of care and integrity. All in all, they finished everything in just two days. Job well done! We couldn't be happier!

My house recently had a few external plumbing issues pop up at the same time... two outdoor spigots…read morethat started dripping and a pipe with a tiny pinhole spray that looked harmless until it absolutely wasn't. My dad previously had a great experience with J. McKeeve Plumbing, so they were our first call. Since I was stuck at work, my wife had to run point on the whole project. Jeff McKeeve and his team showed up promptly, were professional throughout, and made the entire process easy. What originally looked like a straightforward repair turned into a two-visit job after my wife casually asked them to also look at a guest bath sink issue... which, to my financial "delight," basically doubled the cost of the project. To be fair, they did a very thorough job, sourced matching sink hardware for us, and handled everything from start to finish. I was completely absent from the process, honestly, priceless. There's something beautiful about coming home from work and simply discovering things are fixed. Most importantly, my wife was happy with the workmanship... and in marriage, that's really the final review that matters. One thing I especially appreciated was the detailed invoice outlining exactly what work was performed. That transparency goes a long way, especially when you're trying to understand the cost breakdown. Big kudos to Jeff and the entire team. Hopefully I won't NEED to see you again anytime soon... but if I do, I know you guys are on it.

My Delta tub and shower faucet began to have a slow drip. It was installed in 2003. We don't use…read morethe shower much so I ignored it. The drip continued to grow to about 2 gallons per hour. I felt it needed to be fixed soon and called my regular plumber. He was very busy and could not get to it for a week or more so I asked for a recommendation. He suggested McKeeve Plumbing. I checked online, reviews were all good so I contacted them. The technician found the cartridge needed and quoted me a price of $784-$884 installed. The cartridge price on the Delta website is $125. I wanted to get this done so I agreed. The technician came the next day with the cartridge and spent 2 hours installing it. It was a tough job because of the mineral deposits from the hard water here. The faucet worked and the leak was fixed. He then presented me with a bill of $1189.63, 34% more than the quote. This was AFTER the job. I balked at this but since I thought it was fixed I paid. I registered my complaint with the owner who defended the bill saying another plumber might have to open the wall up. Three weeks later the leak came back not as bad as before but still a steady dribble. I called McKeeve again and he was able to show up a week later. He worked on it for an hour and stopped the leak but the handle broke off so the shower was unusable. I called Delta and obtained the replacement handle parts under warranty. I notified McKeeve expecting they would be happy to come and finish the job. Instead I was quoted another $295 to finish the job. I thought this was outrageous but I counter offered $150. At this point they recommended I get someone else since they were too busy. I contacted my regular plumber who was able to come and finish the job for much less than McKeeve wanted. I'm a very dissatisfied customer and will never use them again.
