Erik has helped me out time and again. I had the unfortunate experience of a horrible GC who ended up hiring "a guy who knows how to do plumbing" to re-plumb most of my house during a major remodel. I ended up letting him go but was left in the lurch with a mess. Erik helped me clean up all of the code violations from the former GC and get my plumbing in solid working order. He fixed San-tees, redid a bunch of incorrect plumbing in my bathroom and added a pressure regulator. His work is neat, clean, and id even go as far as to say pretty for some of the exposed copper work. His prices are very fair for his level of skill, experience, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness. Most recently, my entire mainline was wrecked and full of roots (my old GC told me he re-piped it which was not true). I couldn't flush anything in my house and my bathtubs were backing up. Erik made it out bright and early the next morning and cleared the mainline to get us up and running again. But that's not where the story ended. He coordinated with two other plumbers - one with a camera to get eyes on the problem and another to sleeve the mainline so that the root invasion won't ever happen again, basically acting as a plumbing GC. I feel so fortunately to have a solid plumber with his level of skill and integrity, and highly recommend him to anyone reading this page. read more

After reading so many positive reviews about Erik Chastek and his company Hot Rod Plumbing, I called him for help, and can fully agree that he is outstanding. He is a very nice, hard-working individual. He is prompt and dependable, and was able to fix some major problems that others in the distant past were unable to repair. We have a home that was built in 1960 that had developed many major issues. He (sometimes with a helper) replaced our kitchen sink and faucet, repaired a clogged drain and replaced a faulty faucet in my bathroom tub, and cleared a drain and replaced a rusted-out pipe attached to our washing machine, all done at fair prices. Used Eric on 2 separate occasions. Once to replace some things in the washing machine area that had been broken when another company stacked my washer and dryer. The second time was today when he replaced the water on/off valve and other things around tha Eric does great work and at a great price. I worked with Erik and he came by to fix a valve on my shower. The part we needed was a bit tricky to find but he was able to hunt it down and install it for us. A few weeks later, our old school tanked water heater started to leak, so I contacted Erik to go over our options. He went over a few solutions and we ended up with a tankless water heater. He was able to install it in a timely manner, and kept the work area clean and tidy.
