The best ambieance in Old town. They have a beautiful patio area with tons of shade and pet friendly. There is also some space inside but I would reccomend this on a nice day out. Lovely menu with gluten fre bread as an option. I wish they had that listed instead of having to ask, I feel more may come there as well if they knew. Selection of omlettes, toast, and sanwhiches and some other items for lunch options. We ordered the bagel and lox and a gluten free breakfast sandwhich. The breakfast sandwhixh was of a nice size and really tasty. However I was super dissappinted that the toast was super burnt that I had to eat around most of it as it was too burnt. Bagel was okay nothing wild and small amount of lox. Next time would probably try an omlette or ask for the toast be lightly toasted. We also got a cold brew and latte whixh wete really good. The bad: The setup was all self-serve-- you seat yourself, scan a QR code for the menu, and order online. I understand the convenience and lots of restaurants do it now, but it gave the place a colder, more transactional feel since we never interacted with anyone prior to getting our food. The prices didn't help either ($23 for avocado toast and a coffee, before tip). And the system still prompted for a tip, even though I hadn't interacted with anyone working there. When a server finally brought the food out, they felt just as detached. The whole experience came off a bit sterile. The good: food and drinks were delicious, and the outdoor seating was also lovely. The patio had plants, a fountain, and birds, so it made for a really peaceful atmosphere. Overall, it's a good spot to relax and catch up with friends but I probably wouldn't regularly visit. read more

We were pleasantly surprised it wasn't as packed as most places are on Sunday in Scottsdale. The line to place an order was short. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I ordered an oat milk latte, smoked salmon avocado toast, and fries. Food came out promptly. I was expecting the salmon toast to be bigger especially for ~$12, but it was simple yet tasty. Schmooze is such a cute spot in Scottsdale! They have a super charming patio with plenty of coverage, plus tons of seating both inside and outside. I came here in July when it was incredibly hot in Arizona, but the patio was still perfectly comfortable to sit at, which was a huge plus. The music at this restaurant is truly so confusing and disturbing. It's a coffee shop/work space - why is trap rap blasting at 9:45am? I cannot imagine coming here with children or elders or wanting to actually get work done. I was not able to have a conversation with my partner sitting right next to them. I would understand if it were a dinner spot, but at 9:00 am when Eminem is playing, it is genuinely confusing. The food is great and the staff is very nice but I just think they should consider the music choice. Great place to come and work on your computer. Most people here were working. The bowl was very good. The lavender latte was light and sweet. I liked it. The matcha was sweet as well. You can either sit at a table and order via qr code or order at the bar and get your food delivered to a table. We opted for the qr code method after choosing a table outside. Service was really quick! Once we ordered it came out within 5-10 min. I got a cappuccino and the arugula caprese avocado toast (Avocado, Arugula, Cherry Tomatoes, Fresh Mozzarella, Pesto Drizzle, and Red Pepper Flakes). The cappuccino was a pretty big disappointment, especially since I was in need of a nice caffeine boost. Mostly foam but not even a nice creamy texture. Way too airy. The avocado toast was good! Maybe a little on the smaller side but all of the components worked really well together. I liked that they dressed the arugula on top too. This a hidden gem in old town for breakfast. I went to brunch with friends on Saturday morning and sat on the patio. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. You can order inside at the counter or at the table using the QR code that is specific to that table. Ordering online is pretty easy. Took a couple tries to get the website to come up. I had the traditional breakfast which was good. The 4 other ladies in my party all ordered the salmon avocado toast. The patio had traditional patio seating. We were just walking around the area and wanted something to sip on while sitting down so I can't comment on the food but they have great refreshing drinks. As you enter through their patio space you can just walk in and pick a table, order via QR code for the specific table, and they bring it out to you. I really enjoyed the space and thought it was a cute set up! They have plenty of tables for smaller groups or larger groups with some fans around the area as well to help cool you down. Walking to the bathroom I also noticed their indoor space and it was larger than expected and looked great as well. As for drinks I ordered the tiramisu latte (white chocolate/vanilla) and would highly recommend! It has great flavors and has somewhat of a cinnamon-y taste as well. I thought it would be heavy for a warm afternoon but it was actually perfect and was the right amount of sweetness for me. Others at my table ordered the same thing and enjoyed it as well! Me and my friend decided to venture for breakfast and landed here. The place is a little odd to find as there isn't a huge sign to indicate it. We had actually passed it and had to back track. You walk in and order your food and drink at the counter then find a seat. The staff was really nice and they recommended stuff we should get. The location was clean, even the outdoor seating. Using the restroom I did not notice a baby changing station and the men's restroom is located outside. The food was good and came out hot. I got a lunch item (bbq chicken quesadilla) while my friend got breakfast (a bacon egg and cheese sandwich). Everything was decently sized and tasty. I personally loved the guacamole with my quesadilla. My coffee was also really nice and decently sized. You get to pick what flavors you want inside to make it sweeter. I did mocha and peppermint but I could not taste the peppermint. Overall this was a relaxing breakfast.
