However, my Schlotzsky's original sandwich was good as always. I'll stick with just the sandwiches from here.. service was good and served with a smile therefore I didn't ask for a soup refund that I returned. Tables are wobbly but had just been wiped down. Not sure how clean the water or rags were. Disappointing since it's been about 20 years since I've had access to Schlotsky's and they used to be a favorite for me. read more

While many other Schlotzsky's seem to have stopped serving the raspberry vinaigrette with their strawberry salad, this Schlotzskys still has it. I have been here twice in the last two weeks. Both times the salad was fresh, properly prepared and their pecanbons were delicious. read more

Went tonight to try something different. The young lady was nice at the counter. Place was empty at 6:15 PM. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Club add olives and a pizza. The ingredients to the Turkey Bacon Club do not have onions on the sandwich. I get home and my sandwich is a regular turkey sandwich with onions on it, no bacon, no olives that I asked for, and, the bread was rock hard. Yes, I'm annoyed!! I recently ordered a Cinnabon Classic from this location, and it was a complete disappointment. Not only was it significantly smaller than what I've received at other establishments--including Pilot fuel centers--but it was also severely overbaked to the point of being hard and dry. To make matters worse, it was inadequately frosted, leaving it far from the indulgent treat Cinnabon is known for. For the price and brand reputation, I expected far better. Horrible horrible horrible customer service. I waited near 25 minutes in the drive through for my food that was obviously completed and bagged in the front of kitchen. The lady who took my order completely left after she scanned my card. I have no idea where she went. Then some man who made the sandwich bagged it, looked at me, left it on the kitchen counter, then left for the entire time. I waited at the drive through (thankfully no line) for such a long time. The store wasn't busy (it never is), no other cars piled behind me, the inside was almost empty with few customers, it was a single sandwich I ordered and I waited for a long time for them. If I could've driven off, I would've, but they charged my card and I didn't plan on leaving without my food. In the end, the black lady with blue hair returned to hand me my bag that was sitting on the counter, cold and stale, as I grabbed it and drove away. I visited the Cedar Hill location with my mother and we decided to share a medium original sandwich since they are so large and filling. We each ordered a cup of soup and briefly mentioned it to the cashier. Within a few minutes of paying for our order, a server brought out our food and had already separated it for us. I was pleasantly greeted by Mike who helped us make a decision by informing us on the type of sandwich place this was. I went for the Original since that is what they are known for. The hubster ordered the Chicken bacon smokey cheese on sourdough and it was delicious! I enjoyed it more than my Original. Overall the restaurant has a nice and comfortable feel to it. The meat is great, so are the rest of the toppings. But the bread has its own unique aroma of urine. I will never forget that. Ive eaten at many sclotzsky's in my time living in Texas. For the most part I really like these people until last weekend. So people and places flourish under pressure and some people and places crumble.This is one place that crumbles under pressure. Went here in a Friday and they were fairly busy, there were 3 people ahead of me and 3 people waiting on their food. I placed an order for a chicken Pesto pizza and a cinnamon roll. I don't eat meat, but I have learned if the meat can be picked off to let the place fix it their regular way or they will mess it up every time. So this was my plan. I get home ...and the picture attached is what the employees here and management felt was ok to sell to anyone. Being that I don't live close to this place, I had no dinner. Because I refused to eat this trash. Half of it was Burnt to a crisp, there was a pile of olives just in the middle, the chicken(even if I was going to eat it) was so dry and nothing about this monstrosity looked appealing!! Been here a few times since my last review. The place keeps getting dirtier. How is that possible? Each visit is the same. There are usually 10 patrons or so in the restaurant. The drive thru is almost always packed. I count more than 8 employees. I hardly ever see a manager. I've never seen anyone clean the tables. This last visit was particularly dirty. We were forced to sit at a bar that was lightly dusted with crumbs and cup stains. I wiped the area down a few times but needed a wet cloth to get the dried food off the surface. I ordered 1/2 a pizza and a cup of soup. My fiance ordered a soup and a sandwich. It took over 20 minutes for our food to come out. When it did I received half a pizza and half a sandwich. They asked my fiance what he ordered. He told them and I gave them my sandwich and pizza back. I showed the server the receipt with my fiance's order. They brought out my pizza and soup. They brought out 1/2 the sandwich they previously tried to give me. My fiance told them again what he ordered. I shpwed the receipt again. They left all confused again. The third time another man who I think is the manager shows up and asks what my fiance ordered. I asked them why they don't know what he ordered. Again I showed them the receipt and this time the manager takes it with him. I tell him to give it back but he ignored me and walked away! I gave away the proof! Finally they deliver his order. It was correct. By then I was miserable. It didn't help that the TV was on the news showing the most recent shootings in Colorado. If I cone back here its because I'm forced to. read more

I have been visiting Schlotzsky's for several years, however never this location in Cedar Hill. I had a real craving for a Texas Schlotzsky's sandwich which is not listed on the menu. This is a jalapeno turkey sandwich which I would always order back home. I ended going through the drive thru and placed my order. They immediately knew what kind of sandwich I was ordering without question and after just a few minutes I was at the main window picking up my order. I was surprised how fast the drive thru was considering I visited during a busy time in the day when I could see that the inside dinning area was packed. I love this Schlotzsky's. I come here all the time and I always get a sandwich and a bowl of soup and a large drink at my Foods always fresh the suits hot and taste good. Service is friendly and I have got to know a couple of the workers there and have even seen a few of them as they get promotions and climb up the ladder which is a really cool experience.
