I just got my order delivered from Schlotzsky's in Burleson TX. Two pastrami with Swiss cheese sandwiches on sourdough were a MAJOR disappointment. The pastrami was old, dry, and salty. I expected sourdough bread but got some weird, baked disaster. Even after putting the pastrami on our own bread, we could only eat two bites and the rest went into the trash. The only good thing is that we ordered the 'small' size. $9.19 each for that pitiful excuse of a pastrami sandwich! Schlotsky's will never get another dime from me. read more

He made sure to reiterate the order, verify everything was entered correctly, and communicated the time frame it would take for the order to come out. Very impressive young man. We ate at Schlotzsky's after about a year hiatus. I was shocked at how downhill the quality had become. The older cashier had a very hard time figuring out how to ring up our order, and had to wait for the manager to come assist her. The people behind us actually walked out because it did take awhile. When we finally got our order, the bread was tasteless and dry. The sandwich was luke warm, and no mayo on it. I feel like this is a training problem and hoping it is corrected. I noticed there were far fewer people eating there at lunch time than there used to be. Hoping this store can get its quality back up! read more

I love this location. Except for one thing: the smell of Cinnebons makes me want to break my diet every time I walk in here. Yet I return often. The reasons are simple: great people and awesome food! Just had worst experience ever at this Schlotzsky's. After ordered and paid told they were outbid almost everything we ordered and couldn't get refund because manager wasn't there. So found an ok substitute, but would have ordered something diff if told before. Finally manager got back to refund item they didn't have any substitution for. Bread was hard and over-cooked. This has been the worst experience ever! Completely incompetent. Receipt was correct for order placed directly through their website and they couldn't even get the order correct. My mistake for paying almost 60$ to have three sandwiches and drinks delivered. When I called the store, the person in charge could offer me no resolution. No refund or redelivery. Told me I could come get a replacement. If I had a way up there I am pretty sure I would not have paid what I did for delivery. This is my favorite sandwich place because they've been toasting sandwiches before any of the other cold sandwich places thought it'd be a good idea. They have a lot of new sandwiches on their menu but I usually go with the original because it reminds me so much of a muffaletta. They use sourdough bread (I usually get the jalapeño version), but they also have a rye and a few others. I usually get the jalapeño chips too, but they have several others. I usually sprinkle Louisiana Hot Sauce on my sandwich too. They are based in Austin and they're in the process of adding a lot of things to the menu. I'm guessing they have one of those all-in-one drink machines and don't flush the line before dispensing a new drink. I placed an order for 5 sandwiches.. 4 of the sandwiches had meat falling off, 2 were missing toppings/avocado and the 1 bag of chips ordered on the app was not available in store. I waited 30+ minutes after "ready by" time because the restaurant was understaffed and "training". After writing to the store online, they offered to replace 1 sandwich, but 5 sandwiches had something wrong, not just one. I spent more than $60 for crap. First time visiting this location since it opened. The restaurant is bright and welcoming and was very clean. I got my usual Albuquerque turkey with no bacon and proceeded to get my drink. I didn't get a chance to sit down good before my order was brought to me. This was a great surprise as I'm used o waiting much longer at other locations. My sandwich was hot and tasty, and overall I was pleased with my experience. I will definitely return to this location. read more

Stood in line almost 15 minutes. There was one register open at 12:30 during the lunch rush...and what appeared to be about three people staffing the entire kitchen! Probably why I waited twenty minutes for a small original sandwich. There were no clean tables. The line at the drink machine was ridiculous. There was ice everywhere in and around the machine. I am not sure how this place has 4.5 stars. I understand that this is a fairly new business but each time I come here something is wrong with my order. I love this restaurant chain and often opt for this as a lunch option. I have tried this burleson location several times and it has not improved hence this review. Today's poor customer service experience; I called in my order to ensure that it would be ready when we arrived. The girl who answered was very kind however in the middle of taking my order she asked me to hold and then proceeded to take someone else order. I actually laughed out loud and she apologized. This is not great service. She has asked me a couple of times to hold while she worked on other orders. Why do you answer the phone if you are not ready to take an order or are prepared. She did not ask my name-but said the food would be ready in 15 minutes. When we arrived there was no order waiting, 8 people in line and when I arrived the man behind the counter tried to find my order. He found a legal pad with an order written on it and the girl came out from the back and said she did not get a name so she did not know what to do. Curious again how there is a lack of service. The poor excuse is that "they are still getting it together" At what point are you no longer new? At what point do you start to deliver a better level of service? I love Schlotzsky and enjoy the food-however this particular location has so much to improve on from getting orders right, being efficient and providing great customer service. Don't come here for a quick lunch. Arrived and ordered to a kind server but after 20 minutes later we still hadn't gotten our sandwiches. OK I had a much better very different experience than the previous reviewer. It was not packed. There was plenty of ice. Went right at noon and was impressed with the amount of seating and variety as well as ESPN on one of the two big screens. Obviously Schlotzkys is known for their sandwiches but they've expanded that menu - there's a lot to choose from now and almost none of it is fried. And I might normally give Schlotzkys four stars but I was really impressed with the service. Courteous, knowledgeable, and when the guy brought our food he noticed we hadn't picked up any napkins and offered to get us some. A small gesture perhaps, but not what you'd expect from a fast food joint. That kind of service pushes Schlotzkys - at least this one - into the top tier of fast food restaurants. Great choice if you find yourself on Wilshire at mealtime. read more

Had to repeat my simple order multiple times & when I got to the window I wasn't even given a total & he was reaching for my payment. My husband and I went there on a whim just to see if they had gluten free bread. Wow, not only GF bread but GF pizza crust was available. I told the guy that waited on us that this company needs to advertise they have GF stuff. Anyway before I had to go GF many years ago I used to get their sandwiches and remembered how good the bread was. My husband never ate at this restaurant so I told him the bread used to be really good. Anyway, I had the GF double cheese pepperoni pizza and my husband had the Deluxe Original and we both loved our food. I was so thrilled to have GF pizza that was actually edible and my husband was very impressed with his sandwich. On top of that the service was very good. They guy that waited on us (we went in there on 10/9/2016 around 3:30 pm or so), was so nice and so good at explaining things to us. Food came out fast and hot-really good. We will definitely be back again and again! (what a different experience than we had at their other restaurant, McAlister's in Burleson, which is so terrible that we will never go back!
