Great home cooked food! We were wanting something not fast food and remembered Lizzi's. Our first time here and won't be the last. The lasagna was amazing! Tasted like it was made with Italian sausage to add that extra spice. Salad was very fresh. Cold sandwich on the croissant was also very good! Reasonable price for a good hot meal. I love this little drive through. They don't have seating or an indoor restaurant, but that's ok because it is still piping hot and delicious by the time I get home. Lizzy's sits in the parking lot by the KFC on Wilshire but often goes unnoticed because it's a small building without much pomp or circumstance. I probably drove past it a hundred times but wasn't sure what it was or whether it was worth trying. I'm here to tell you - it's worth trying! This was my 3rd visit here and I have yet to be disappointed. I have tried their sandwiches and their chicken spaghetti so far and can't wait to see what else will be next! Their menu not only has sandwiches and things you might expect from a place with 'lunchbox' in the name, they also have daily specials (see their website- something new every day on a convenient little calendar for the month). This is where the chicken spaghetti comes in. It's one of their specials. I have been back twice just for that dish. It is a HUGE portion of cheesy, ooey gooey yumminess that I will be waiting for each month again and again. It is served with a nice salad and garlic bread. If it weren't so good, I could have probably shared it with someone, but I ended up eating the entire thing (minus the salad). My only observation that could improve this place is the generic bottled dressing they use for the salad. If they had homemade dressing (ranch especially!), I probably would've eaten the entire salad as well. But, everything else I have eaten there has tasted fresh and delicious. Don't skimp on the dressing, Lizzy!! ;) Overall - one very happy customer who will be visiting often!! read more

Bad news: everything, and I do mean everything, was cold, like they took it straight from their refrigerator without even attempting to heat it up! What an unpleasant surprise! I had hoped for so much better. $16.25 for a really cold lunch that's supposed to be served hot. What was really odd, it took the ladies quite a long time to package my meal to go. Yesterday was my first experience with Lizzie's Lunchbox, it was great! Pulled up to the window and this beautiful lady with a fantastic smile greeted me and introduced herself as none other than Lizzie, the owner. Told her it was my first time and she gave me the rundown of the menu. I ordered the meatloaf which was the special and man, it was great, as was the sides and salad. I also got a piece of carrot cake to go with it. It was pretty good, store bought at the very least. Lizzie tells me she's been open 15 years, love supporting locally owned businesses.
