So I was looking for a quick place to grab lunch and I love a good soup and sandwich combo so I decided to try them out. The place is cute upon walking in it felt very welcoming. The young lady that attended me had been previously talking to someone else and she kindly excused herself and said she needed to tend to a customer. Just her attitude and politeness won me over! She was very patient when I said it was my first time and explained things thoroughly with the few questions I had while also offering a suggestion I decided to go with. Now to the food...OMG! These sandwiches AND soup are delicious! The portions were just right and the flavor was on point. The bread was toasted just the right amount, the meats tasted super fresh, and the soups felt like my mom had cooked it up in her kitchen. I know it's a basic and simple meal but some people can either overdue it or not get it right BUT Stone Soup Cafe definitely did it all right! I hope you give them a try! I'd love to try all their sandwiches now with the flavor burst I got from my very first bite to the last! I've already told my friends they need to go check them out...and they know how I love me a good sandwich. Stop by and see for yourself what I'm talking about. I have been eating here since they opened which I guess is close to 20 years now. It is al says fresh and delicious and served with a smile. Their daily soups are so good! Today I'm having the Deli sandwich with the broccoli cheese soup. Their service is fast, I've never waited long, and you can call ahead if you're in a real hurry. We tried Stone Soup Cafe today. Really enjoyed our lunch. We got the sandwich of the day..Sweet Honey Club on the Hawaiian sourdough and had it toasted. Deeeeelish! We will definitely come back. Service was not good. We got there at 2:02 and the Burnett with glasses, dark circles and facial piercings was RUSHING me and my family telling us that we need our food to be to-go bc they closed at 2:30. Also, the food was not good at all. I asked for a Buffalo Sandwhich and they gave me a turkey sandwich lol. Driest bread I've ever had good Lord! I love soup. Soup is my life. I make better soup than anyone I know (OK but all of my soups are really good). I'm gonna start with my disappointment. Just 2 soups a day abs they are the same every week? I'd love to see a 3rd "special" or "wildcard" The soups I got on Tuesday were Potato and Corn Chowder. The texture of the brothes were creamy and good but the "filling" was so lacking. The corn chowder has no bites of anything but a bit of corn. Like 30 bits of corn in a pint, no potato or pepper or anything. I'm sure it's immersion blended into the soup. The potato was no different, like 5 tiny chunks of potato and blended broth otherwise. I want some texture in my soup. I think they were decently seasoned. I just don't want a bowl of 20 corn kernals in brother and 5 chunks of potato in brother. For a place named after soup its bad. If they didn't name themselves after soup, I actually might go 4 star. The sandwich was fine. It was a sandwich, and I think with the side and pickle it's a good value. Super friendly service. Super fast service. It's worth a lunch stop but not if you're a soup nazi like me. Thanks my opinion, I wish them the best and will be back but I'd love to see a wild card type soup for a week or each day (kale and sausage, gumbo, chicken rice, cabbage soup, the possibilities are endless and they restrict themselves to 8 kinds and called themselves a soup place). Wonderful surprise on a travel day! Yelped for a suggestion and this great place came up. I ordered the weekly special, roasted red pepper crunch sandwich with potato salad side. I asked the cashier for a bread suggestion and went with the herb option, per her, and it was delicious. Great sandwich, lots of crunchy veggies, nice red pepper spread, liked the potato chip crunch, and thick slices of turkey. Would totally order it again. I went with some friends from work on Wednesday during lunch time. I ordered the Veggie Supreme sandwich with pasta salad. My friends all got various sandwiches (Reuben, California Dreamer) with the enchilada soup. The employees were nice and the service was quick. Our meals all came with a pickle spear and a cookie. All of us really enjoyed our meals! The pasta salad was a little sweet, which isn't my preference, but it was fine. My friends all loved their soup. My sandwich and the cookie were delicious!
