We used to love this place but haven't ordered in a while, not for any reason, just have been trying other places. The ordering process over the phone was fine, the delivery was quick and friendly. All good there. The food however, was not very good. The cheesesteak was so dry we couldn't eat it! There was next to no cheese... my husband had to recook it with more cheese. Garlic knots were topped with what seemed like raw garlic. Not a fan. Was super strong & had that raw garlic spiciness to it. Pizza was okay. Kids enjoyed the pizza but complained they ate a chunk of garlic. Overall disappointed. I hope next time is better! read more

Schiano's has always been great food, fast delivery. They have an amazing towering carrot cake that is $9.00 but used to be the size of about 1/4 of a cake to justify the price. This was our "go-to" for 8 years. Practically every week without fail. Sadly, we are DONE. They screwed up our delivery order so bad (after waiting an hour-and-a-half for a "40 minutes" lie) 2 weeks ago. So I called to let them know what was wrong and was completely belittled by the man that answered the first time I called. After all was said and done and me just fighting for my $60 worth of food that I paid with a cc, he agreed to send all that was missing from the order. You know, so we can ENJOY our meal that was paid for. Long story short, 45 minutes later, still not here. So I called again. I didn't get the woman's name that answered the phone, but what a complete and utter ANIMAL. She was telling ME that I need to be patient. Are you kidding me??????? Than she has the audacity to say "you are a problem account. I'm looking at your previous orders and you complained once about the garlic knots. And another time about the pizza". I'm like "ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? YOU KEEP NOTES?????? And yes, if my order is wrong, I have EVERY right to call and complain. I paid for a meal and a service!!!" I asked her if she also saw on our "report card" all the hundreds and hundreds of times how much money we have spent there dining in and the dozens of times we used them for take-out for birthday parties, etc.... Nope. She didn't care. She basically told me to go screw myself and to be patient that the person is on their way with the rest of our dinners. I told them i want a refund just come get your 2 hour old nasty food out of my house and bring my money or a receipt proving it's back on my card. I kid you not, this is where it gets good: Not even 10 minutes later, the doorbell rings. It's the delivery person from Schiannos. And guess what????? It's not the delivery person that was supposedly driving around with our order. She had no idea that we were waiting for the rest of our food!!!! She said she was told to come over and get the WRONG order back!!!! She had no money for us. No food for us. She said she didn't even know she was supposed to give us money or food!!!!!! So, they couldn't get a person to deliver our food that we paid for. But you were able to somehow get a person to pick up the sh*t????????? Wow! Great Customer Service. Of course we didn't give her the food. And the sad part. She right away recognized us since we are ALWAYS there. So, long story short. Schiannos never called us. Never came back with correct order. Never came back with $ and to get the old stuff. I checked my bank, money was there. I'm so sad by this. This was, by far, our FAVORITE place to eat at every week. I spent my summers in Ocean Gate growing up. Stopping at Schianos was a requirement all of the time. I was diagnosed celiac last year and stopped coming here because I couldn't bear the idea of not eating my favorite pizza. What a welcome surprise to learn they serve (really delicious) gluten free pizza. The pizza i have loved for 20 years was available to me. Brought my gluten-loving friend with me and we chowed down. I love this place! It's real Italian pizza and you'll know it as soon as you walk in! The smell of garlic is as close to heaven as you're going to get. This used to be our go to for pizza and garlic knots. The quality of the food has steadily gone downhill and tonight was the last time I'll order from them. The garlic knots tasted old, the pizza crust was chewy, the tomato sauce was tasteless and everything was cold. I also have a problem with the person cooking the pizza -she picks up a "corner" of the pie snd blows under it before putting it in the oven. They have a pretty good selection of entrees and subs too, but I usually just stick with the pizza. The food is generally pretty cheap, so its light on the wallet. Inconsistency is probably the key word for Schiano's. My wife and I order out every week - two weeks, and either you get some exceptional food or an utter disappointment. Most recently we ordered a pizza and by the time I got home (a five minute drive at best) it was ice cold. On the opposite end of the spectrum the time before that we ordered 2 hot sandwiches and they were great. Oddly it feels like quality of the food is dependent on how busy they are that night. Ironically it seems that the busier they are, the better the food is. If you plan on giving Schiano's a shot, make sure it's on a Friday or Saturday night when they are truly busy. read more

Pizza and Stromboli are great, the meat dishes are uneatable. The meat Lazagna tastes like over cooked all day turkey burger. The meatballs are uneatable and anything containing meat tastes awful. When we called someone with a German accent took our order, he said some weird things while we were on the phone but they repeated the order and address back to us okay. After an hour we called back and they told us the ticket was gone so our order was on the road for delivery. (I live about 5 minutes from the restaurant.) After another 15 minutes we called again and they said that our order was up next and would be delivered soon after.
