Stopped in here for the lunch and was very impressed by their specialty slices they had available! Fast service. General Tso's slice was amazing! I noticed a Big Mac pizza as well. First let's focus on the pizza. I tried a deep dish meat lovers slice that the counter man sliced in two bc it was so big. Amazing flavor and perfect crust. While I was eating, I saw the counter guy mistakingly give a lady two slices to go. The lady knew she had only ordered one and said something about it. The counter guy said, no worries it's on us, now you can enjoy it twice. Thoughtful. Lastly I witnessed a mom with a young girl come in for a slice to go. The mom was very particular about which slice she got as her little one was picky. After they allowed the little girl to pick her slice they refused to charge her for it. Seeing this, I threw them a 10 for a single and told then to keep the change. Warmed my heart to see people care about customers like that. Thanks to Yelp, I found Conca D'oro as the pizza place closest to where the kids soccer game was being played. The staff was very patient and friendly being there were 6 of us there to eat in. They do a lot of deliveries and have mostly pick up. There are enough tables of 4 to host about 40 people. The folks there were very attentive while we were eating checking to be sure we had everything. I had 2 slices of mushroom pizza which were excellent. Nice thin crust and freshly sauteed mushrooms. My wife had the deep dish slice as well as the Margarita Pizza slice. Kids had spaghetti a-la-vodka. Enough pasta for 3 meals. It came with a salad as well as garlic bread with cheese. Most of that came home. Another kid ordered the calzone with mushrooms. The calzone was huge. Enough for 3 people as well, possibly 4. They also made one of the kids who has a dairy allergy--- pepperoni tomato pie. No cheese. Looks great, thin crust. Very pleased with the food and staff. read more

Pizza! Pizza! There pies are really good. Which is probably one of the best in the area. I've had their penne.... really good. I especially liked there chicken francaise, although sometimes it could come out a tad too lemony. But you can request light on the lemon. I would check them out, delivery is usually on time as well. This was our 2nd time ordering from Conca D'oro. The pizza is really good. Love the sauce it has a lot of flavor. The only reason for 3 stars is their delivery service. My first pie, plain with extra cheese shifted while the delivery kid made 3 u-turns on my block trying to find my house. Keep in mind my house number is on the house, garage and mailbox. All the cheese was on the box. My husband called back and they immediately apologized and replaced our messed up pie with a new one. Same kid comes back to deliver it. He takes the pie out of his trunk, closes it, reopened his trunk and put the pie into the hot box which he then brought to the door. Shouldn't have been in there to begin with?? What was the purpose of doing that after we just watched you pull the pie out from your trunk??? I think if we ever do decide to order from them again, I'll go pick it up. read more

Such a shame this place doesn't have more reviews or pictures up. Would of never known about this place had I not been starving and drove off the parkway to grab something quick. I love how they promote their specials right on their windows as you're walking towards the pizzeria. Great deals here! Their pizza display had a number of unique pizza dishes you don't frequently see. Deep dishes, unique toppings like fried calamari pizza! I went with my go to Margherita slice which was so yummy. It had enough marinara on the slice to my liking and was so flavorful. One of the best I've had in a while. Patrons continued walking in the door as I waited for my slice so the food is constantly moving. Everyone there was so friendly and inviting. Wish I had time to try out more dishes. read more

I was visiting a friend who just moved to Waretown and were aren't familiar with any restaurants in the area. I brought a bottle of wine and searched for an Italian restaurant. I specifically chose this one because the photos on Yelp showed 2 dining areas so it looked like there was enough seating for dinner on a Saturday night. Their website makes no mention that they aren't open for dining in. As I walked in the girl behind the counter asked "Picking up?". I gestured to my bottle of wine and said we'd like to be seated. An older man then said "We closed our dining room, you can sit there.", motioning to 2 tiny tables with 2 metal chairs each. They didn't look like they were at all interested in serving us. So, with no other choice we placed an order to go and had to take it back to my friend's new house (were he doesn't even have furniture yet). We ordered 2 hot subs and calzone. We sat there waiting for it for about 40 minutes. It was busy and they appeared well staffed. The portions were pretty large and the food tasted average. They appeared to be making efforts for pandemic safety but some employees didn't have masks covering their faces, there wasn't any hand sanitizer that I could see, people touching the register/money were then touching food and they had employees personal beverages open right next to prepared food. There is no sign on the door stating masks were required but it is still NJ state law as of right now. I get that Covid has thrown a wrench into things for the restaurant industry but being clear with the services you are actively offering is kind of important for the customer. While the food wasn't terrible, I have no interest in ever going back. read more

Highly disappointed..kept seeing good reviews and finally gave in and waned to try them. Ordered a grandma pie, garlic knots with extra marinara and wings First, they charge for EVERYTHING. They charged .75 for blue cheese and another .75 for the extra marinara was asked for but NEVER received. Our 45 minute wait was over an hour so it was not even worth calling to complain about being overcharged or for a replacement to be sent. Everything was ICE cold, not even room temp. Like they left it outside. The pizza had no flavor and the crust was already burnt so we could only put it on the oven to warm up for so long without it becoming completely inedible. The garlic knots had nothing to them, it seemed as though they put some garlic powder on them and called it a day. The wings were the only thing we ordered that I would even consider ordering again. read more

I had lunch there today. Ordered a Buffalo Chicken pizza slice and a slice of Sicilian. They were both dry with the crust being really crunchy. The Sicilian was the worst of the two. Fully half the slice was dried out and crunchy. If you like overcooked and hard edges this would be the place for you. read more

Such a shame, we really love the pizza here when they do it right. The only thing is, is that it is not consistent. This has happened before but we always give them one more time because when they cook it enough it is the best. Right now our pizza is in my oven to cook it more. Ordered a large plain pie at the counter, to go, so it would be nice and hot by the time I got home. The girl behind the counter wanted me to take a pie that was a mistake and was sitting on top of the oven. I asked her politely to please make a fresh pie so it would be hot by the time I got home. She and the cook behind the counter tried to convince me to take this one because it was fresh out of the oven, but when I slid my hand under the box it was not very hot. She agreed to make a fresh pie. After waiting 10-15 minutes the pie came out of the oven. It felt hot, but when I got home it was obvious she had switched the pie and gave me a twice cooked pie. The cheese was not very hot and had separated from the pie. The crust was somewhat burnt and dry, too. I write this because I work hard for my money and just hate it when I get gypped or ripped off, especially when I was polite about the whole thing. I don't think the owner would be too happy about this, as I have been in this place MANY times and never had this happen.
