Matcha Latte

This is such a cool concept for a business. A tea bar with teas 'on draft.' You can also get refills on drinks on the day of purchase; the first is $1.50 and then the second is free. It can be mix and match, too. Apparently, the refill teas have to come from the teas on draft. So, if you want something hot you need to start with it as your 'full priced tea.' I got a Darjeeling with maple and some whole milk, medium sweetness. Very good! My mom got a black cherry chai mix with whole milk, medium sweetness. She found that a bit too sweet for her--I was fine because I love sugar! For my second drink, I got the nitro match medium sweetness. I don't exactly know what their default sweetener is...I was told you could get honey or other things, too. The nitro drinks are a bit of an upcharge but totally worth it, in my opinion. For my final drink I got some sort of mango lemonade thing. This didn't really taste like tea tea, if that makes any sense. It was also delicious! Anyway, three drinks for about $8 so not too shabby! The staff were also very helpful and patient. I can't make up my mind to save my life on a good day, and there are wayyyyyyy too many options here!

Two important updates! (1) It was inevitable but prices (on refills) increased a bit (now an even 50% of whatever size you originally got). (2) all downtown and campus parking meters have newly expanded hours - now requiring payment until 7pm (no longer ending at 5pm) AND now including Saturdays (so only Sundays remain free). See signage pic I added. Obviously not Scented's doing but beware! Ps, for the hour or so that I was lunching/working here none of the baristas ventured to clean any of the frequently rotating tables despite boku gaps in customers at the register. I quietly wiped some dried spills off of mine :-/

I was kind of disappointed that my latte didn't look like the drink on the sign that was being advertised with whip cream and all. I wish the girls working would've asked if I wanted all the toppings. Found really close parking by proper shops so my visit wasn't too stressful. Wish tables were a little cleaner they were a tad sticky.

Cranberry Sangria!! Yummy.

Love Scented Leaf and especially this location near my office! The decor is gorgeous, the staff pleasant and accommodating and it's also on the Streetcar! I have invented excuses to have meetings here in the past, and am now officially celebrating their festive holidays tea, Cranberry Sangria! Delicious and refreshing!

Raspberry rose and prickly pear tea

If you like tea, you will enjoy this place. They have a good variety of different teas which varying levels of caffeine. You can order your tea cold or hot and adjust your sugar level. I wanted a decaf tea so I got the iced Raspberry Rose tea mixed with Prickly Pear tea with just a little agave sweetener. Very refreshing and delicious without being too sweet. My husband enjoyed his hot chai latte tea. Since this was our first visit to this place, the server behind the counter was very helpful and patient with us as we took some time to decide. Vibrant and bright atmosphere.

A Tucson Classic! With all the options at this place you better be able to find something you like. You can customize your tea in just about any way you like. Plus the creative menu they've put together with have you waffling back and forth of which flavor you want to try next. Tried their seasonal cider drink and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are also plenty of seating options. And the employees are some of the happiest you'll meet!

Loved the shop the smells were amazing and beautiful. We all ordered the Lavender Lady and it was refreshing and looked beautiful. The flavors were very mild but that might have been due to the fact that we all wanted lightly sweetened. But what a beautiful serene shop downtown.

A new local favorite space of mine. So many great things! Where to begin? -refills are one dollar plus change every other, and the others are free refills (5/day in same cup with same barista at same location) -so many choices! Caffeine free options, vegan friendly options (no up charge of milk), choice of sweetness and you can add glitter! -so many milk choices, many vegan -space to study -WiFi -great service -delicious and good for ya -two locations (Congress is my go to) -take home items -and more! Will definitely be back!

I went down to Tucson with friends to the ASU/UA game and they took me here to Scented Leaf Tea House. This is a nice tea shop in the downtown area across the street from Hotel Congress. There is so much tea here! All of their tea is in loose form and finely chopped. I got myself a London Fog - one of my favorite teas. This is a great find and we had a nice time here before the game. Check out the beautiful mural on the wall.

Cold brew packs

I was introduced to this place due to a Yelp Elite event and fell in love! I'm a big tea drinker and this is the best tea I've ever had. The tea is on tap and you can adjust how sweet you want it. I absolutely love the cold brew packs and I think they're a great deal. It was 3 for $15 and each one makes 64 oz. I'm pretty sure the drink we got was called the fruit bomb, it had lemonade in it and it was so refreshing and delicious.

This place is AMAZING! I can't stop visiting after yelp event. It is a little far but when I'm on that side of town I can never resist a visit. They explain and have great recommendations. I fell in love with the fruity Thai tea and oat milk. The cold pack they sell is amazing my favorite is hibiscus tea so good for summer and more tangy side. The inside and ambiance is beautiful they have hand painted mural perfect place to study as well or grab tea with friends. Great hidden gem!

We went here to get extra cheap packages from the bum drink gave some to my sister so I needed a refill my needso. We came down here and the lady was really nice and made it up for me. Show me my girlfriend had a couple t drinks and we sat in there for a half an hour and I got two refills pay dexter for them and I also bought a ten dollar gift card as a gift for a friend

Honey Vanilla tea with edible glitter

Wow. This bright, airy space smells fragrant and is so inviting. The perfect place for a quick work or committee meeting. There are plenty of tables and chairs if you want to pull out your laptop and get a little work done. Now that we've set the scene let's move onto the main event: the tea. With so many teas on tap you'll be sure to find one you love. I had the Prickly Pear and the Honey Vanilla. Both amazing! A neat thing they do is color code their teas from highly caffeinated (black) to least caffeinated (pink). Pro-tip: First tea is full price, refill is $1, 2nd refill is FREE! That cycle repeats if you get a 4th cup. Pro-Pro-Tip: Get the edible glitter to fancy up your drink.

The staff was nice and they explained everything they had, which is a lot. I opted for their cold brew but I think their matcha is where it's at. I never had matcha but everyone in there were ordering them and they looked fantastic. They were made to order which I know is a good thing. The coffee was good I would order again but it wasn't life changing. What was amazing beyond belief was their pastries, they said they were all made fresh daily and they had everything from sweet to savory and all looked great. A few things that caught my eye specifically were their Egg Tarts, Custard Donuts, and their Kanafeh. I opted for the Kanafeh because you don't see this anywhere really. The Kanafeh was all that it should be. It was crispy, had a mild cheese in the center and the bottom was soaked with a honey syrup. It was topped with pistachios which added some salt to it and some crunch. I would go back just for this. I think this place is a must stop!

We so rarely encounter attitude in Tucson, that our experience at your coffee shop on Saturday…read morereally took us aback. All 4 of us have extensive experience in the hospitality industry and appreciate the stresses. Since we are unfailingly friendly customers, as so many servers are, & because there were only 6 other customers at your coffee shop at the time, sharing our experience is warranted. We visited the Main Gate shop just after noon on Saturday, 4/18. The barista was wearing a cap & O'Neill-branded t-shirt; he has a salt & pepper beard. Requesting my cappuccino in a ceramic cup, he stated, with obvious exasperation, "You can just say 'for here'." He was also visibly irritated when we requested 3 Dirty Chais of various sizes & shot strength, as if this request was overly complicated. We would have ordered food, but he was so unwelcoming we did not. Nor did we linger. We have visited this location other times and have only been treated warmly. Clearly this barista does not represent the customer service your employees normally provide. You can train people to make a good coffee. Training them to be pleasant is more complicated & best documented. Hence, this review. An unpleasant experience like this has no place in Tucson. It's not who we are & it's not who you are either, I know. We hope this gentleman finds another line of work soon

If Tucson has a heartbeat, part of it lives inside Talega Coffee Roasters…read more I used to live next door, and honestly, they were the only thing keeping me in Armory Park as long as I stayed. When I finally moved, I thought the hardest part would be adding 30 minutes to my commute. It wasn't. It was losing that daily routine of walking into a place that feels so real and personal. Talega isn't just a coffee shop. It feels intimate in a way that's hard to find now. You can tell Tyler & Rene actually care. Not just about the coffee, but about the people who come in and the community around them. Nothing about it feels transactional. You're remembered, conversations matter, and it feels grounded in something genuine. Their seasonal drinks are what really set them apart. They are not cheap grabs for attention or copies of whatever is trending online. The ideas feel inspired and intentional. (Their maize latte and miso latte were perfect) You can tell there is real thought behind what they put on the menu. It reflects a level of care for the craft that is especially rare. It's been incredible to watch how far they've come since they started. They've grown without losing what makes them special, which is not easy to do. I don't live next door anymore, but I will never stop being a regular and I will never stop drinking the Maize latte (I literally dream about it).

I have to say, their drink was so good that I almost missed being at the finish line in time for my bf! Talega was so intriguing to me that I had to google what it meant. "Talega coffee is an artisanal method that uses a talega, a cotton bag traditionally used to carry coins. Over time, it was discovered that these bags were ideal for filtering coffee, giving rise to this traditional method. In addition, the word "talega" comes from Arabic and means "to hang," which refers to the original use of these bags. The bag is made of cotton, a material widely used in Mexico since ancient times, especially during the Mexica period for making clothes. Likewise, the cotton, made of 100% cotton, is a completely organic product ideal for preparing coffee. Therefore, cotton, composed of 90% cellulose, does not introduce foreign odors or flavors to the coffee and is insoluble in water." via huupa.coffee The owners, Tyler and Renee, were so wonderful. I had such a nice time chatting with them about coffee in general and what a beautiful place and concept and vibe they have at their shop! If you've been to Telega, you know how beautiful and dreamy the spot is. It feels so cozy, like a living room of your best friend's house. But, it also feels like you are in the lobby of a very artsy hotel. They have such creative and intriguing seasonal drinks, manzana latte, miso maple flat white, and picca latte. I didn't get a chance to try them but I got their iced matcha with oat and it was so good! Just perfect. I sent my bf and his bro here the next day and they also loved their coffee so much! We def need to come back to visit Tucson and especially to visit their coffee shop again. My bf said his second order of coffee, their machine wasn't working so it was on the house. They are so generous! We came back on our way out and stopped by them again because my bf insisting for paying his cortado but it was after 2pm. We realized when we got there.. Well, this just means we def will need to come back and I think my bf and his peeps are already considering coming back for next year Tour de Tucson so I can't wait to come back to Talega again!
