This is my go to spot- I'm in and out of here at least 3 times a week. The staff is very friendly and can make just about anything you're in the mood for. What's really great is that their flavors actually taste like their names - coconut lavender really tastes like it... or the mango gusher actually tastes like a gusher candy. I finally got around to trying this new location and love love love it! It definitely has a more modern feel than the one on university. I got my usual, Ying Yang with almond milk and it was as good as ever. I moved to Phoenix after graduation, but scented leaf is always a must when I come back down to the Old Pueblo. The staff is great per usual and they always know great combinations to try. I tried the Papaya, which is a black tea with almond milk for my freefill and couldn't have been more delighted. read more

Like the University location but better (cleaner, newer, more spacious feeling and with a better restroom situation). love this place - the frequency that I drank tea here when I lived near by probably classifies me as a tea addict. A ton of great tea options and they also added a nice nitro cold brew. My favorites are the Piña Colada with coconut milk, Prickly Pear with strawberry lemonade, Honey vanilla chai with chocolate almond milk and raspberry rose with lemon. Evening in Missoula also makes a great hot tea to enjoy when the weather cools down. The staff are all super friendly and personable. It felt like being in a coffee place, except it's tea that's served to order. Barista so pleasant to deal with, observed her being very accommodating to have all guest's drinks be perfectly made for them and me. They had some very interesting teas too! And all sorts of non dairy alternatives. And it felt safe to be there, saw security go in to see if anybody has been causing trouble. I believe there used to be (and may still be?) a store on University, however I visited the store on Congress after the spring street fair one weekend. Funny enough, the friend who I attended with and I had been having a conversation about liking tea and not having visited many places in Tucson where we could get some when we literally ran into this place. They have a great selection of teas including some "on tap" and others you can have brewed for you. If you get a refill the first is $1 and the second is free! They have a great, clean, well-maintained store with a nice sitting area out front. There are also restrooms, important when you're sitting around sipping tea for awhile. This location is fabulous, and they sell their loose leaf teas as well so you can take home your favorites. They also had a small selection of food, mostly cakes and sweets, that I saw. It's nice to have the option to have unsweetened or sweetened with sweetener of choice. This place has almost any tea and sweetener you can think of and never disappoints. Visited Tuscon for the holiday season and discovered this gem. I went twice in a row while discovering the downtown area. The staff were really knowledgable about the teas and generous with samples. There's even recommended tea mixes by the staff which were extra yummy. They're a great way to hydrate in the dry climate while being wallet friendly. First fill is full-price, the next one is $1 and the third is free in the same day. I definitely hope to see them every time I visit the area. read more

This is definitely one of my new favorite places to do work downtown! This new location has plenty of natural light, wifi, a friendly staff, and delicious tea. I was downtown on one beautiful Monday morning and the woman upfront was very helpful and great at customer service. Good customer service is rare but Scented leaf is great at that. She even volunteered to be in my video I made for depressed people. Thank you :) The guys afterwards were decent as well! Scented Leaf has and definitely still is a great place to go for study, dates, relaxation, and work on your projects/business. The only thing I would add would be games people could play while there. This location is a little quieter than the University location, which I appreciate. The music is a little quieter. The patrons are a little quieter. The selection is a little slimmer but it has all my favorites. I think that if I want a place to meet and talk with friends, I'll go to the University one but if I want a quiet place to work, I'll come here. The decor is a little more wood and calm colors. The only downside I can think of here is that the furniture looks cooler but is less squishy and comfy. I think the service here is a little more attentive despite there only being one or two people behind the counter. read more

When I walked in I was instantly greeted by by this great personality, and her name was Jess. As someone who loves tea it was so much fun to come to a place dedicated to tea! They have over 70 teas I believe and the staff was so nice! They helped me pick out the right tea. I have been wanting to try this place for ever but everytime im on congress i prefer the bars lol. This time after dinner and drinks instead of more bar hopping we gave the leaf a try. The place is very small and simple decorations but the its really about the teas and the service here. As soon as we walked in the service was perfect and very polite. The girl working there was so patient with us because it was our first time there and she walked us through every tea and we smelled so many amazing flavors and that alone was worth the 5 stars. When we finally chose the teas since they were amazing and it was even better because it was my birthday and we a free tea because of it. Of Course we sat and the little seating area they had outside which was perfect. What could be better in a slightly chilly night in tucson than relaxing with a delicious hot unique tea. The manager called me "difficult" and 'dude" and get eyes rolled out at me for not buying something and I was in the backyard in class which was disrupted multiple times. At one moment, she came out and stared at me for about 5 minutes, I was uncomfortable. She didn't like when I explained myself and then asked why I didn't explain myself earlier like if I HAVE to explain myself. Because of my dark skin, they thought they could walk over me. I was never of disturbance. I was quiet and doing work like others with my mask on. I am a community member. They claim tables in the outside backyard are cleaned after each customer and that's not true. In the hours I spent there I saw customers sit and leave and never were they cleaned. As an occasional customer, a University of Arizona student, and The Cadence neighbor. This business needs better management, conflict resolution, and diversity training. read more
