Regurgitated shed, as a result of the parasite.

Please do NOT support this shop!!! Recently, I bought my significant other a leopard gecko from this shop. The group I had included me, my S/O, and their teenage sister. When we went to check out what they had, we found out that they kept at least five geckos all together in a 10-gallon tank. For context, a single gecko (or a breeding pair) should have a MINIMUM of 40 gallons' worth of space. Having so many in a single container can lead to the spread of disease and parasites. And as it happens, after a week of having our gecko home with us, we noticed that she wasn't eating, and had concerning digestive problems, such as diarrhea and vomiting. After taking her to a vet, she was diagnosed with Trichomonas. Luckily, this is treatable, and she will be fine, but the potential for it to be much more life-threatening was high. I also want to point out that this shop has a negative reputation at the vet we visited, which indicates that this is a pattern with their animals. I also want to point out the overall lack of professionalism that I observed while we were there. While we were browsing, I was very heavily pressured into buying other reptiles and arachnids that I didn't want/need. At one point, when I said that I didn't want to buy a centipede (something I have a phobia of) the manager said "you say 'no' a lot, don't you?" in a rather condescending and sarcastic manner. I understand that this is supposed to be a joke, but I felt guilted and pressured by this interaction, as if me saying that I didn't want a centipede was somehow an indictment on my character. This same manager also made fun of my S/O's sister for playing with her hair while waiting to be checked out. Again, clearly meant to be a joke, but she was very clearly uncomfortable with the interaction, and made that clear to us afterwards. Overall, I personally, left the store feeling as though they are very unprofessional, and do a subpar job of taking care of the reptiles they are selling, leading to high risk of illnesses among them. Simply put, don' shop here. There are plenty of reputable breeders, as well as conventions, where you can find great reptiles in excellent health. You will not find that here. And frankly, in my opinion, the customer experience with the staff does not make up for that either.

I understand having limited space but these animals looked so stressed and sad. The owner is very pushy for sales too. Do not recommend.

What I was shown were very minimal enclosures with little to no enrichment. This does not reflect modern, welfare-focused reptile care, which prioritizes proper substrate, enrichment, and environments that allow for natural behaviors. When I asked further questions about their standards, I did not receive clear or transparent answers. Instead, the conversation quickly became unprofessional. Rather than addressing concerns about animal care, I was met with dismissive and inappropriate responses from the store manager (included in screenshots). This experience raised serious concerns about both the level of care and the professionalism behind this business. There are many reptile keepers and shops that prioritize proper, up-to-date husbandry and genuinely care about the animals they work with. Based on what I saw and experienced, I would strongly advise others to do thorough research and consider supporting businesses that clearly demonstrate proper animal care and professionalism.

Earlier today, I called to ask if they had male veiled chameleons in stock. The employee put me on hold for a couple of minutes, came back, and confirmed they had "a couple" available. A few hours later, my boyfriend and I drove out to the store specifically for that reason. When we arrived, the same employee was immediately unfriendly and gave us attitude the entire interaction. We asked again about the male veiled chameleons, and she again told us they had them in stock and directed us to the back. My aunt also asked about jumping spiders, and the employee responded with the same rude attitude while showing them to us. After checking the reptiles, we spoke with another employee who was actually very helpful and knowledgeable. He explained that they DID NOT currently have any male veiled chameleons available and wouldn't be getting more until next week. He gave us detailed information and was polite the entire time. The issue wasn't just the misinformation, it was also the employee's behavior throughout the visit. She repeatedly stared at my family in an uncomfortable and rude way while we were speaking with other staff members, and every interaction with her felt dismissive and hostile. What's especially frustrating is that this is the same employee who previously sold me a snake and provided me with incorrect husbandry information at the time of purchase. Before visiting the store, I had already done research on the snake I was getting, and later realized that much of the advice I was given was the opposite of what the snake actually needed. Thankfully the snake itself has done well, but inaccurate care information can seriously affect the health of reptiles if customers don't know any better. I understand everyone has bad days, but this is now my second negative experience with the same employee. It's disappointing because behavior like this reflects poorly on the business and does not create a welcoming or professional environment for customers, especially compared to the much more helpful service provided by the other employees I've interacted with.
