Saw them on YouTube and thought they could fix the board on my Nintendo switch. I sent it in. USPS said it was delivered but SBL told me they never received it. It was delivered on a Wednesday when they are apparently closed. I reached out to check the status and was told someone broke into the delivery box and stole it. They offered to replace the board but then never ended up doing that either. They don't have a secure method of delivery for customers. They did not follow through on what they told me they were going to do Response to SBL's response: - I was NEVER advised to require a signature. Not once and have the Instagram thread to back it up. I had taken my ps5 controller to get my stick drift fixed a while back and there was some issues with the controller but they let me take it back and fixed all my issues with it and was really good at communicating with me. I know sometimes stuff happens but it was nice that they worked with me and fixed everything. Ive been playing on the controller for a while now and no stick drift and they had upgraded the parts and told me that I wouldn't ever have to deal with stick drift again and so far its running good and I remember when I was looking around for pricing. This place was the more affordable option. Id recommend checking them out for any repairs and they do have a nice little shop so id recommend checking that out as well read more

I took in a newer PS5 controller that had zero issues for joystick upgrades. After two weeks of delays, excuses, and lies, I got back the wrong controller--old, scratched, dirty, and clearly not mine. Timeline: * After two weeks, he said it needed calibration and that he had to buy a new laptop charger. Fine. * A few days later, he said his car was in the shop. Fine again. * I showed up the next day--he wasn't there. Front desk confirmed it. * I called him. No answer. He texted an hour later claiming he was there the whole time. False. * The following day, I finally got a controller back--but it wasn't mine. He admitted there was a mix-up because he had two white controllers come in the same day. Instead of fixing it properly by contacting the other customer, he tried to brush it off and "clean" the wrong controller. I refused because this was not my controller. He did not want to correct his own mistake. To make it worse, once I plugged it in, the microphone does not work. I am now stuck with a broken controller, and he refuses to take responsibility or fix it. Do not go to this guy. I know he'll reply to this review with excuses or claims that it's fake--he does that to other bad reviews too. Go read them yourself. Save your money and save yourself the headache. read more

After looking around the market for system repairs, I decided to go with SBL Games based off the positive reviews I read. Called the store and spoke to Steve; I told him that I suspected my PS5 was overheating and asked if he could fix it, which he said he could. My overall experience with Steve and SBL Games was generally positive. I took my system to the shop on Saturday and got it back Friday the following week. I know my system isn't the one Steve was working on so I consider that a pretty fast turnaround time, right in line with the 3-5 business day timeframe I was told. I no longer have any overheating issues and can play for hours on end since then. Giving SBL Games a 4.5 just because I wish Steve's communication was a tiny bit better. I called and he didn't seem to remember a prior conversation we had regarding my PS5 which he said he had completed repairs on. It's a very small gripe and I would recommend him to anyone needing a system repair. His prices are also affordable and nothing crazy, which I appreciate. read more

If you're not proficient in handhelds, then don't take a handheld in for repair. Especially when it looks like NOTHING was done on the motherboard after taking money UPFRONT. It's been 2 weeks since I returned my grandson's Nintendo Switch and Steve has threatened me every step of the way....and won't give it back to me...telling me he'll call the police for trespassing on his property...but it's not his property, he rents out the building. Said I threatened his life and supposedly filed a complaint against me....i called several police stations including Rialto police station and they all have said pretty much the same thing....i can go and claim what is mine....if there becomes a problem call the police...I asked can they meet me there....answer "no"....but call only if there is a problem.....I am tired of having defend myself in something so ridiculous...tired of Steve's false accusations....tired of Steve feeling he has the right to keep something I PAID for!!!!! Horrible SERVICE. Called this "Guy" 2 days ago because my Xbox Series X was having issues With its Fan, Possible Overheating Issue. 5/28 I called him and told him my issue and he said for the service it's $100 & for me to come by during his hours 12pm-7pm on the following day, Ok No Problem. I get to his "Shop" (This place is a FUCKEN Dump BTW, No Directions to where his Room was) and its Closed, I called the guy while im standing outside his Door & he proceeds to tell me "Walk-ins are from 6:20pm -7pm. I'm Like but i called you yesterday and you said to come by during your hours. I live in Fontana & its a 20 min drive to this is DUMP & WHO THE FUCK is going to come back at night in SAN BERANADINO at that time, I'M NOT trying to get robbed in the parking lot at night. I dont know why he just couldn't open up his door and just help me then, This so called Repair shop was in no way busy. This is a BAD Way to do business. WHY I WONT BE RETURNING OR RECOMMENDING THIS STORE TO ANYONE... I went to get my HDMI repaired ( I attempted to fix it, but didn't work... I mentioned this PRIOR to him fixing it). He told me that instead of $165 it would be $205 due to the salvage work, I was told that there was 90 days warranty. He took video of the repair and showed "it worked" by quickly turning it on. Once I got home and turned it on, after about a minute the PS5 started to glitch out and the screen would turn black and glitch out, note the PS5 would stay on. I mentioned it to him and he kept blaming the drill holes, which is understandable... but he shouldn't have offered 90 days warranty initially and then changed it after he was done repairing ( the "does not cover abuse/damage" on picture 2 after the repair wasn't even explained to me, I assumed if I damaged it again etc... that won't be covered. I was just told to sign at the X ) . I wouldn't have paid $205 to "maybe" have it work. He initially offered a partial refund and said he can check it again, but kept blaming the drill holes. At the end he said he won't be giving me a partial refund because he said his work was good and that it turns on and shows an image... I had an appoint at a certain time and was ready to discuss this issue, but called him instead. I was on the phone and was taking to him, irritated after he told me there will not be any partial refund, after the call ended he told me to come 30 minutes later than the scheduled time because of the "call", I personally believe that was unprofessional and not how businesses should function. At the end of a back and fourth he ended up showing up on time. On a second note, there was a part that was broken... due to my fault which I wasn't sure of, so I'm taking the blame, he mentioned that the part was broken after he tried to repair it, rather than mentioning it and asking if he should proceed with a repair. He said he tried to melt it in place, I was assuming he knew what he was doing. He ended up warping the PS5 plastic ( check pics ) and told me that he could change the part for an extra cost. I never consent to him even trying to fix it, but I guess it took it as one of those "what's done is done" things. He should've told me before attempting another repair that was outside of the scope of what I asked for. In my personal opinion there are some unprofessional things that happened which I disliked greatly!!! read more

Steve is a legend! After asking and calling so many places that couldn't help me I found this Yelp page and called. I was able to make an appointment for the diagnostic very promptly. Was told it would be $55 and the rest would be just for parts if needed. Left my PS4 and a while later he called and let me know what the problem was, explained what was going to be needed to be done, and the price. He was very understanding and so accommodating and let me pay the same day of pickup since I was driving from about an hour away. The drive was so worth it because my PS4 works perfectly now!! I found this guy. He comes to your house. My system was not coming on and he took his time and found the problem. He even watched the kids while I went and got his money from the ATM ... I know why did I leave my kids with him but trust me my kids are so bad they wasn't going to let anybody take them or hurt them..lol but he was an honest guy. I cannot say enough things about SBL Games! I had an xbox one that was not reading the discs and had some errors when the disc was inserted. Steve was always very very professional once the appointment was set he was very up front and said that the diagnosis was $45 and that included labor and the only other cost would be parts. Upon arrival it was determined that we may need a new laser and a new ribbon cable because mine had been damaged, he replaced the laser in front of me and tested it out, it took about 4 visits to fix all the other problems that popped up. After it was all done i paid $105 that included parts, installation and visits with a 1 year warranty on parts. Even after we retested it all we still got errors from time to time, Steve said if the problem continued and he could not fix it he would refund the cost of parts he couldn't fix. I recommend SBL games to anyone looking for professional work and excellent customer service. read more
