I consigned some clothing at this shop a few weeks ago and waited to write this review because I was honestly taken back by how rude the staff was. I arrived right at opening, only to be met by one of the owners who came out and abruptly said, "Do you think you can move down so someone else can get in?" as if I were somehow in the way, despite the noticeable disorganization of the space. To make matters worse, they turned down brand new Judy Blue jeans with the explanation that they were only accepting summer items -- implying jeans are strictly winter wear, which is simply not true. It felt more like a personal dismissal than a professional decision. The entire interaction made me feel like I was beneath them; like I didn't matter. The attitude was condescending, and the overall vibe was snobbish. It's unfortunate, because customers and consignors are what keep a small business like this going, yet we're treated like an inconvenience. I will not be returning, and I don't believe anyone deserves to be treated like a nobody -- especially when you're supporting their business. My husband was with me and he was wow, those are some catty women who obviously do not care about people. I would sell your items yourself or choose a business that values other humans. read more

Absolutely love Savvy! Highly recommend!! Staff is always friendly and helpful. I've gotten everything from a desk to ankle boots to my favorite pair of sunglasses here. Year round there's a great selection of pretty much every style you'd hope to find. Prices are very reasonable. If you're shopping for your family, they have men's, women's and kids clothes. Consigning is super easy too - since they post on their website and front window which season they are taking. Follow them on social media too! I have both consigned and shopped with Savvy and every time I go I leave thinking I can't believe how incredibly rude they are. Nice variety of items including quality furniture. Their handbags are high quality. Their prices are in line with the quality. I and a few friends wish they had more plus sizes as they only comprise about 10 percent of their clothing items. And frankly on all visits they weren't anything we'd like to buy. I love shopping at this store and most of my closet comes from this store- but to be a consignor is quite the opposite experience. 90% of what I bring in came from their store. To echo another review - the inconsistentancy of what they take is super annoying. The way they treat your clothing that you have ironed and taken the time to have it look its best is also annoying. Bunched up and carelessly tossed back into the bag. I too have brought things back again and again and depending upon who looks through it is how you fare that day. I find it confusing that items I bought there are now no longer wanted. Just like the other reviewer these are name brand items. So my review is mixed. This is a great place to shop but not so great to consign. If people start to not consign then there won't be people shopping there. Maybe Savvy should do a video of the process and weekly take a random bag and talk about why you took certain things and why you didn't take others. That would be my advice to them. You are treated like dirt when you walk into Savvy. The staff is snobby and very few people are friendly. I'm not the only person in SP/Arnold that has this opinion. As a consignor, they do not value you as a customer and you are treated like you are expendable. If you want to pull ONE item early from inventory (a rare occurrence for me), they act like it's a huge problem and do not make any accommodations for you. Instead, their solution was to pull all of my things and said perhaps their competitor would be a better fit for me. This is after I was treated like sh*t on the phone by an employee, then disrespected by the owner. First rule of business is the customer is always right (even if you think they are not). You have a business based on customer products, you treat the customer with utmost respect. Terrible business and customer service. read more

Like many others shopping in the actual store is a good experience as they have a large selection at reasonable price. If you are looking to consign here, look elsewhere. They are inconsistent in their decisions on what to take. Per their policy, I have brought numerous clothing items, shoes, and accessories that are in like new condition, packed nicely, in their current season they are requesting, and from name brands (Lilly Pulitzer, JCrew, Kate Spade, Alex and Ani, Sperry, and the list goes on.) 80% of the time my items are sorted through and turned away. They never give any feedback, just put your bag on the floor to pickup. Meanwhile the last time I brought items in, I noticed that a similar pair of shoes for instance from the same brand I brought in which were in worst shape were on display for sale. It doesn't make sense. Also, I think it really depends on what Staff Member is sorting through your items and their familiarity with name brands. To test this, I brought the same sweater from Free People in great shape, when they were taking winter clothing per their website, value over $200. First month they tossed it into my bag and didn't take it. Brought it back again the next month and they took it. It's very frustrating to put all this effort in especially since they only take donations M-F, I have to wait until I have a federal holiday off from work, or have taken time off from work just to bring items in. read more

Savvy Consignment is hands down the best Consignment Botique you will ever visit!! You can always find quality clothing at very reasonable prices. They carry name brand clothing in all sizes for women, men and children. The purses are all designer names in mint condition. I love to check out the furniture and awesome accessories that are always so unique and very reasonably priced. The Sales Staff are very welcoming and so helpful and really represent the store in a very favorable manner. I absolutely LOVE the staff at Savvy's and the owner, Stacey who maintains a very clean, organized, designer stocked botique. Check the Consignment Botique out, you will be pleasantly pleased. I am about 5'1" and often find myself shopping in the juniors section of most retail stores to find clothes that fit. Which is a problem, because I'm almost 40 and my style preferences have changed! So, I was thrilled to find a beautiful, barely-worn dress at Savvy Consignment that fit perfectly and made me feel sophisticated and elegant. I love how inclusive their sizing is, ranging from petite through plus size! Such affordable pricing, even for high-end brands, and I noticed they have beautiful home decor, too. Staff rude. Not very helpful. Beware of breakable policy. Even when they place things in precarious places where things are easy to knock over. You'll be walking away paying full price for an item you don't want. I guess both the house and the consigner make money on an item and the customer walks away with an unwanted item placed in their pathway. I can see paying the consigner portion but not full price. Put breakables in cabinets or shelves so this doesn't happen. read more

I have spent HUNDREDS of dollars at this store. I love their clothes. My review is for the purpose of the owner/manager. After checking out over two hundred dollars of merchandise, I asked to use the restroom. Yes, they do not have a public restroom however I suffer from a disability where if I have to go I have to go. After checking out and spending the money I did (mind you this is one of my dozens of trips here), the owner told me to go to the restaurant next store to use their restroom. I mentioned to her I am a repeat customer who has spent generous amounts of money in her store and through the pandemic. She said she needed to be mindful of her employees health. I explained to her employees had already made this exception and her response was that was nice but I still could use the bathroom next store. I was so infuriated and hurt by this experience. I will likely not go there in the future, which is sad as that was my primary consignment shop I frequented. Do better. You have a beautiful product. Treat your customers better. Yes, I realize it's a safety issue because of the pandemic--then require masks indoors--which I was wearing one. read more

Staff here are rude. Today, I came to pick up a check that they owed me as a consigner. I had been promised a $200 plus check, and when she handed me $56, I was upset and commented that this was much less than the $200 promised. At that point, the owner/manager yelled at me stating that they guess they had another check ---- acting as though I was stupid for even raising the question. I only consign here, because they offer 55% profit to consigners; otherwise, I would quickly take my business elsewhere. I really wanted to like this place but have had too many negative experiences. Staff was rude when I questioned if the items I purchased were supposed to be 50% off due to the sign posted--was told "no these are clearly orange tags and the sale is on peach tags". Witnessed another customer trying to to place a lamp at the desk to pick up more items and they refused to let her--telling her she had to pay right then and could not set it there to come back for it once she shopped around more. DO NOT SELL WITH THEM. Absolute rip off. Gave them a brand new handmade table to sell and they told me they would assess the value and determine a price for it. Fine. I left the table there. Less than 24 hours later I get a call saying the table sold. What?? We didn't even agree on a price! And given their agreement clause they keep 45% of the sale for themselves. A two tone handmade coffee table was sold for $175, leaving me with under $100. The parts cost as much as that. Absolutely awful business. And no apology. This is my favorite consignment store in the area to shop in. Easy to consign clothes but harder for furniture. Its clean, neat, and the selection of sizes is impressive compared to others. The shoes can get out of control fast and they do a great job trying to keep up with people being slobs. read more

So Savvy has a ton of super clean, well-treated clothes and are obviously conscious in choosing what they bring in and what they decline from consigners. The clothing quality is GOOD. The diversity is not really there, mainly about 10 different brands are pedestalled. The reason for this is the area it's in and the lack of stylistic diversity in the area. Clothes are FINE. and priced affordably. On the other hand, the people who run the place absolutely suck. There's about 3 younger employees who are actually cheerful and I hope they don't let the older women suck the life out of them. The others, never greet and are always so so so rude. In spite of the handful of serendipitous finds I've encountered at Savvy, I'm consistently underwhelmed by the service here. The young women who work the front desk are very snobbish and rude. While you might be able to hunt down a cute dress, blouse, or "restored" piece of Pottery Barn furniture here for a moderate price, don't go searching for pleasantries here. I've shopped here a few times and always enjoyed myself. I don't understand all these "I I need my ego stroked" bad customer service reviews. I mean, it's a store. You shop, try something on, and either buy it or don't. How much interaction are you craving in this situation? I'm greeted at least once every time I shop here and then I'm left alone. It's great! Very difficult to deal with completely inconsistent. Called yesterday to ask if they were accepting consignments told yes but be here 30 min before closing . Said great I'll be in tomorrow arrived at 11:30 to be told sorry not accepting consignments today it's Easter and we are short staffed yet there were at least 5 people working and basically standing around watching 2 people try to convince me they were too busy. The older woman says sorry I said that doesn't help me and she said in a snark tone Happy Easter! Very poor management and let me add I was giving this place a second chance after they sold a brand new pair of gold earring for 30 that were worth well over 200 ! read more

I've shopped in many consignment stores they all list ....all sales are final , what I find disturbing about this shop is that when you sell something as being authentic it should be , if you advertise an item you're selling as Leather it should be. I purchased what I thought was a Tory Burch bag which normally goes for like close to $500.00 retail so this bag being 180.00 I thought okay it's a good investment because it's a good bag . I should say not the bag it turns out is not Leather at all. After 3 to 4 weeks it started peeling, leather does not peel . When I called the store I explained why I was calling, I was told the owner was not available but that she would call me back. I left my name and number she never called me to discuss or to offer me store credit , a refund, nothing for selling me something that was not what I thought I was buying. She never once put herself in my place. I'm quite sure if she spent that amount of money on a second hand bag which she thought was leather , she would be pretty upset as well. It makes you lose faith in small businesses , in your local store, in your neighborhood merchants! This tells me she's not concerned for me as a consumer or as a repeated customer, she's only concerned about making that Almighty dollar but in life and in all things you Reap what you Sow ! I consign there and nothing like my other consigning experiences. I note that the people buy there seem to be OK with staff; however, if you are providing merchandise, they are quite simply RUDE. I suggest that these folks behind the desk get some training on how to deal with the public or find other jobs - clearly they are not cut out for this business. I have enjoyed shopping here, but I just had a very negative experience consigning. I had picked up a few unsold items, which they had gathered up for me at the end of my consignment period. I noticed that one of my leather bags was still on display and brought it to their attention. They said it was a different consigner's bag, which I didn't believe because it's an obscure Italian brand, and I had picked it up in a thrift shop. I asked them to contact the person they believed to be the owner, and they went off to huddle for a few minutes. A clerk came back toward me and said, "Just take it, it's on the counter," as though she was doing me a favor. I asked if they had contacted the other person, wanting to hear them apologize for their mistake, and they just said "she doesn't remember." Wow! I can't believe these people had the gall to keep acting as if I was trying to pull a fast one. I'm middle aged, for goodness sake! I recall that when I came in to consign, someone who appeared to be the purse specialist had separated my purses from the clothes they were accepting. I have no idea whether they paid me for my other purses that they sold. I recommend that anyone consigning here take a photo of the items they agree to take before leaving the store. read more

Great store. My entire wardrobe is from this place. All my kids clothes come from here too. Always find gems. No need to shop anywhere else!

I've been taking my clothes here exclusively for about a year because they accept and sell more than the other consigners nearby. If it doesn't sell, they have it waiting at the counter for me rather than me hunting for it in the racks. Their selection to shop from is organized very well (again, no hunting) and the staff is nice. The fashion industry is insanely wasteful and is the second largest user of water on the planet. Any way to keep from shopping retail or disposing of garments is fantastic. read more

My mom and I unknowingly came in about an hour before closing time, and one of the women who worked there (I think she may have been one of the owners or managers) stood outside of my dressing room and gave me nasty looks every time I came out to show something to my mom. It was 4 PM on a Monday; we had no idea they were about to close and no announcement was made. The way I found out was when the music shut off and I overheard another customer ask. I understand not wanting to stay past closing time, but being nasty and glaring at your customers is NOT the right way to communicate. read more

I used to love this place until I decided to sell something! The young girl took the boots that I wanted to sell and explained that after 60 days if the boots weren't sold that someone from SAVVY would call me to see if I would like to come pick them up or have them donated. I hadn't heard anything from Savvy so I called to inquire about the boots. I was told that they sold after the expiration date of 60 days and that I don't receive ANY compensation. I explained that no one called me and she said that I WAS supposed to call after 60 days. Of course nothing in writing was provided to me! They were Tory Burch boots! I could have sold them online!
