I've been taking my clothes here exclusively for about a year because they accept and sell more than the other consigners nearby. If it doesn't sell, they have it waiting at the counter for me rather than me hunting for it in the racks. Their selection to shop from is organized very well (again, no hunting) and the staff is nice. The fashion industry is insanely wasteful and is the second largest user of water on the planet. Any way to keep from shopping retail or disposing of garments is fantastic. read more

RUDE staff. I recently overheard them talk about a consignment item I brought in and they refused. FYI- I only bring in name-brands that are fairly recent and in good condition. My mom and I unknowingly came in about an hour before closing time, and one of the women who worked there (I think she may have been one of the owners or managers) stood outside of my dressing room and gave me nasty looks every time I came out to show something to my mom. It was 4 PM on a Monday; we had no idea they were about to close and no announcement was made. The way I found out was when the music shut off and I overheard another customer ask. I understand not wanting to stay past closing time, but being nasty and glaring at your customers is NOT the right way to communicate. read more

I used to love this place until I decided to sell something! The young girl took the boots that I wanted to sell and explained that after 60 days if the boots weren't sold that someone from SAVVY would call me to see if I would like to come pick them up or have them donated. I hadn't heard anything from Savvy so I called to inquire about the boots. I was told that they sold after the expiration date of 60 days and that I don't receive ANY compensation. I explained that no one called me and she said that I WAS supposed to call after 60 days. Of course nothing in writing was provided to me! They were Tory Burch boots! I could have sold them online! The woman was rude which didn't make me feel any better about the situation. I will NEVER shop or sell anything through them. Bad service and horrible business operation. read more

This is one of the cutest consignment shops around. I have not done much shopping in their clothing store (it's a smaller shop so a little more hit or miss) but their furniture and housewares shop is wonderful. The selection is updated frequently and everything seems fairly priced. During one visit, they were researching and pricing a gorgeous Hitchcock table that ended up with a very reasonable tag of under $300. I wasn't in the market to spend that much on an impulse table that day, but was impressed with the way they seemed to really look into it and make sure it was priced fairly for both the customer and the consignor. Sure enough, the next time I visited the table was gone. They seem to have a partnership with an artisan who paints vintage furniture to resell, so there are some very unique pieces available, especially for children's bedrooms. I just visited Savvy and while my daughter was trying on a shirt, I noticed a hole in the back of it. I brought the shirt to the counter and showed the hole to the sales associate, just to let her know that the hole was there and that the shirt should be taken off the rack. Less than 5 minutes later the same sales associate put the shirt back on the rack in the store!!! She knowingly put a shirt with a hole in it back in the hope that some other unsuspecting customer wouldn't notice the hole. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I'm so disappointed in this store, especially since I have been a regular customer for several years. Their quality control has greatly diminished in the past year. read more

I think this shop has some unique selections. I've bought some things from them, and I told my husband to consign some furniture he received from his father's estate. They were choosy about what they would take, and that's fine because they know what sells. After-all, their shop isn't supposed to be like a yard sale! However, I was disappointed to hear that my husband had some issues in collecting money for his items that were sold. A few months went by after he first consigned the items. We didn't hear from Savvy, so I reminded my husband to stop in the store to see what has sold. Well, in that time, they had sold the furniture and he had earned $350. That was good. But we were never contacted to let us know that the items were sold, a check for the sale of the items was never sent to him, and when he asked why, he was told that they just don't do that. Okay, so maybe it iS the customer's responsibility to follow- up. Well, then when he asked for his money, they told him that they would send a check in the mail to him. He told them that he would like his check then and there--- since he was there. Why wait? He said they were a little put off by that, but they did write him a check I would be very wary of consigning anything there. Love the big name brands, especially in handbags, accessories, and kids' clothes. Store is large and clean with a diverse selection of both clothes and furniture. Many items are new with tags still attached. Nice dressing rooms and a play area for kids. Consignment process is well organized. All in all Savvy is an excellent local spot for sellers and a treasure trove for buyers. read more

I enjoy consignment shopping at Savvy. The clothes are well organized by both size and color. The fitting rooms are nice, comfortable, and large. The staff is very friendly. The last time I was there, one of the ladies saw the many selections I was holding and offered to hang them up for me so I could continue to shop more easily. read more

NEVER GO HERE. Horrible customer service. I called ahead of time explaining that I was moving in a couple of weeks and wanted to see if they traded clothes, furniture, decor for money on the spot and they told me yes. I took almost three trips back in forth from my car while no one offered me any help. I came in with high end, good quality, clothing from Lulus (some of the tags still attached), J-crew, Lulu-Lemon. Etc. As I'm standing there I tell the girl I was the one who just called about trading in and she said "Oh yes just fill out his contract" and as I'm doing so they're ripping through my clothes barely even looking at them and only take a few things. Obviously, terrible taste in clothing. She then explains to me that my clothes go out for 60 days and I only get profit when something sells. After JUST calling asking about trading in/cash on the spot and telling me yes, after JUST telling them I was the one who had called about 30 minutes prior to arriving. A sign they don't pay attention to their customers. As my things are scattered everywhere I kindly say "I'm sorry but that was not what I was looking for and I thought I did a better job of explaining it over the phone. May I have my things back please, sorry for the inconvenience." They all give me nasty looks as they watch me put all of my things back in the (organized) bags I brought in, no one offers to help me carry my things out, not one "it's okay we understand" no "sorry" After they are the ones who inconvenienced me. As this is all unfolding, not one customer got a hello, thanks for coming in, or how may I help you. The women are horribly snobbish, rude, and simply do not care that you are a customer in their store. Not to mention, terrible outfits on. Take some pride in your appearance. This place is a sham, not to mention nothing in there was cute, as well as overpriced for the furniture, you could get cuter, cheaper, brand NEW items from Homegoods. Please do yourself a favor and don't even step foot in this store. You're better off donating your items to a local Goodwill or Salvation Army where the people will actually appreciate you. read more

I have shopped here a few times and have bought a few nice items for my kids. I will not be going back however. A few weeks ago, I was in the store with my small child and she had to go to the bathroom. I asked the woman at the counter if she could let us in the bathroom and she refused and said very flatly "we don't have public restrooms." My child was doing a dance she had to go so bad, so all I could manage was putting my items down and walking out. I followed up today because I was so bothered by the encounter. When I asked to speak to the manager, it was actually the woman who had refused us the bathrooms a few weeks ago. I reminded her of the encounter and all she could say was "that's the owner's policy." I said while I understand that, I think you could show some empathy and compassion for a small child who clearly needs to use the bathroom. All she could manage was an emotion-less "sorry." I told her clearly she was not and I would no longer be shopping or consigning there. There are lots of other lovely consignment stores in the area -- Honeysuckle and Return to Oz are top of my mind - that have been just as good with merchandise and provide good customer service - including the needed bathroom stop that has happened on occasion. i just left this store after entering it for the first time-- mind you, it was with extreme excitement bc i am both a professional interior designer and more importantly a mom always looking for great finds for my family... but to no avail, i barely walked in the store 5 minutes, and not only was i greeted with the most offensive subpar "hi" (as if i had 12 heads), but then there were a group of the employees behind the cash wrap, not the least bit busy, that just looked me up and down without even a bother to give me a warm "welcome to savvy" or a civil "good morning" ...i don't even know if they had anything worth the visit bc i turned promptly around and walked out. smh. such disappointment for such a clearly great establishment, if only they had a customer service and/or a staff that reflected accordingly~ #wontgetmybusiness read more

Love this store! Always plenty of staff to help out and some really great finds. In response to the person complaining that they put the "cheap prices" on the items that is so you can decide if you want to wait and see if it's still there and get it for the cheaper price, it's actually the opposite of false advertising by alerting you to the exact date and price decrease. That's actually how MOST consignment shops operate. Sorry you didn't find anything with a blue ticket but maybe you should hit up Goodwill. That seems more your speed. Thanks Savvy staff! I agree with J.D. I believe part of the reason that the staff is rude is that many are not treated well. They don't get any breaks and are forced to eat their lunch while they are working and behind the counter. I prefer not to buy things from a clerk who is eating while talking to me and handling my purchases. read more
