It doesn't look like much when you pass by but inside it was very nice and clean. We did not wait long for our food pickup. I've been to several Thai food restaurants around the area and I think savory's price was a bit pricy. Their portions are less comparable to others but the food was good. Absolutely breath taking atmosphere. For this shopping center I am IN LOVE with this spot! I love the old fashioned sectioned seating and the decorations are great! Love that they have pillows in each boot so you can get comfy. Great place with calm casual jazzy music. Such a great place for lunch specials that are 7.95-10.00 great deals!! And filling! This is seriously the best Thai food place around. We order at least once a week and have never had an order that disappoints. The food is incredible. The service is top notch. You would think after 3 years we would have had one wrong or bad order but it has never happened. This is by all means my favorite restaurant!! We will be customers for life!! Yummy little secret hidden in the corner of a shopping center in Vista. It's right next to the dollar store, so I was extremely surprised at how nice the inside of the restaurant was. There's wood paneling, booths with decorative throw pillows, and plant decorations along the walls. They have a good sized wine bar, which doesn't seem to be utilized very much. For how much wine they had up on the wall, they should do something to encourage seating at the bar and make those alcohol sales. My favorite part of the meal was the fried chicken pot stickers. Great flavor. I ordered the Panang Chicken Curry, which is my go-to entree whenever I visit a Thai restaurants. It was good, but nothing made it stick out compared to the panang curry I've had at other Thai restaurants. The portion size was satisfying for me, although a smaller curry portion than what other Thai places serve. I'm used to leaving with to-go box of curry. It wasn't busy, maybe 2 other tables besides us. The server was very attentive and our drinks were always filled. At first I felt awkward asking him questions because he was not making any eye contact when speaking to us, but that's something we can attribute to cultural differences. He was otherwise very nice. There were only 2 people working who looked like husband and wife. The woman was the chef and the one to bring our food out to us. I enjoyed the food and will definitely visit here again. First impression from atmosphere is great! 7/8 Environment of location between $tree & taco bell 3/4 Slow service & smaller food portions compared with other this restaurants :( 2/3 We were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant so should have more attentive to filling drinks & checking on us. Repeatedly walking by & not taking the stacked up empty plates from appetizers, etc. The Calamari I got looked nothing like prevoius yelps photo. Mine were tastless rings that included a stringy, sretchy rubber band like thing that would smack me in the face after I took a bite of EVERYONE (see pic) & see pic of the chicken patay compared to my fork as a size chart so u know the scale of these tiny skewers. They're trying but they'll need to make some improvements before we (party of 6) return. read more

Was craving Thai food....the mister wanted Larb. This was "hot and new" on yelp so wanted to give it a try. Walking in, the place was quite welcoming. Nice decor, clean, quiet and somewhat kinda intimate. Service was friendly but extremely under staffed. There was ONE waiter to take care of the entire place, granted it was not a big place..but for dinner you're gonna need all hands on deck. He was doing EVERYTHING, and when I say EVERYTHING, it's EVERYTHING! Did I say EVERYTHING already??? Anyways since they're fairly new I'm sure there's a few kinks that needs tweekin. Heres what we ordered: -Thai crispy rolls: good, not great. Charged us for a side of sweet chili sauce....really? That's a first. -Green curry: ordered mines with soft/fresh tofu. Flavors were good, plenty of bamboo(which I love), right amount of eggplant, but the curry is way to thin for me. The consistency is more like a soup. I still enjoyed it but I would've enjoyed it better if it was a tad bit thicker. -Chicken Larb: the mister was Craving pork Larb. They only have chicken. It was good, different texture since it was chicken but overall get flavors. This place absolutely has potential! Do not go here if you have allergies or have diet restrictions and especially if you value customer service. Worst experience ever. I called in my order and EVERYTHING I ordered was vegetarian. Pad Thai, curry puffs, money bags, and curry. I stressed this so much. Asking every time and confirming it's vegetarian. However upon the first bite of the curry puffs they were filled with chicken. Whatever, it happens- of course I wasn't thrilled but I am understanding. I called and told them what happened, and I was expecting for them to offer to make new ones and apologize, but instead he YELLED at me and started screaming at me over the phone that I was wrong and that it's my fault. I asked to speak to a manager he said he was. I said so your telling your customer that I'm a liar, and also that you aren't sorry, and that your not going to do anything about this? And he just started screaming at me more and I asked to speak to owner, he said he was the owner. I told him no one in my household eats meat so there's no way I would ever confirm that. If everything I order is meat free why would one appetizer not be? He clearly wasn't going to do anything about this so I hung up mid screaming at me. After that it is a mystery price or over 15 bucks. I have had a decent steak and a beer for less than this! Pricing really doesn't make sense. This is my second time here and it confirms my first experience - food is just really not very flavorful as authentic Thai food should be. Today I ordered yellow curry lunch set. The curry is just sweet with coconut milk favor and that's it. And the portion is really small. In the curry bowl there are only 3 cubes of potatoes, 3 tiny princes carrots and a couple of slices of chicken. The rice bowl is mini size too. What a hidden jewel..!!! The interior is elegant and beautifully decorated. I thought maybe I should go buy a tie at the thrift store and come back properly dressed.... not really. I came here with my friend on the weekday for dinner. They were not packed but the set up was real cute and cozy. We got seated at a booth and they had pillows in them. Super cute! Service: excellent service. Nice attitude. The waiter has well understanding with there food and drink, and he is so good in take care of my gf and I during the meal. Food:seafood soup is fresh and tasty, and it is full with real seafood. Chicken satay is wonderful!!!! They provide two source for the satay and both are delicious, and the chicken is so juice too. When I politely called to say what had happened, I was never given an apology or option of refund. They animately denied there was anything wrong. Even asked me to send pictures.
