Savona's is a cute spot! My cousin and I stopped in for lunch last week. Mackenzie was our server- she is the best server I have ever had at Savona's! Give that girl a bonus! She was so attentive and the timing of everything was perfect. The food- I could get at literally any decent Italian restaurant, but a great server makes or breaks the location. Bring back the homemade blue cheese! That was a standout item at this restaurant. We had two berry mocktails that were yummy. The stuffed figs were delicious and the meatball appetizer was perfect for me!

Came to a late lunch with a friend and ordered the lasagna. Delicious. It was cheesy and saucy. I ordered the special where you get salad or soup, an entree, and dessert. I got the escarole soup with white beans and sausage. The soup was great. Nice and hot and flavorful. The lasagna mentioned earlier and the dessert to go because I was too full at a really reasonable price of ~$23. The service is great. I forgot to mention that we got the homemade bread instead of the breadsticks and we love that. I love Savonna's. It's one of our faves.

Our company had a happy hour here and the food provided was delicious! I decided to treat myself to a take out dinner and ordered the Carbonara with gluten free pasta. My food was ready when I was ready to leave. The workers were kind enough to put gluten free pizza crust, plain, with olive oil dipping sauce in place of the breadsticks. I appreciated this! The restaurant is busy, clean and generally friendly. I always enjoy my visits here.

I don't know if this takes street cred from my review but one of my beefs with the Portland food scene is a lack of good Italian food. So on this trip I was determined to have good Italian food. This definitely scratched my itch and affirmed that Portland's Italian food does in fact suck. The starter with the bread. Oh man. What a showstopper. The oil and herbs and everything was just so awesome. I had a late lunch so it was hard to hold back on the bread but it was definitely necessary to hold back. I got the sunday sauce. Exactly what I had pictured when I imagined good Italian food coming in my life. The meatball was tender and tasty. Same with the sausage. I love that there was not a lack of sauce. I needed more bread for dipping. The kid got the spaghetti and meatballs. He inhaled it. Big fan. Service was very attentive friendly and helpful. Definitely made the experience.

Had lunch here today and really enjoyed the rustic decor and amazing service by Heather. The breadsticks glazed with oil and herbs were a nice surprise at the start of our meal. The shrimp salad was great even if the shrimp were a bit overcooked; the warm bacon dressing made up for that! The salmon was crisp and delicious as was the eggplant panini.

The waiters were really nice and the food was AWESOME. I'm giving this place a 4/5, though, because the service was slow than expected.

The charcuterie grazing board was every and any thing you could possibly want, at least we thought so. Sooooo good!! The dippy duet of the tapenade and pistachio cream dip thing (sorry forgot the name) delicious. We ordered an entree to share and everyone raved about the lamb chops. Safe to say we'll be back. There is a parking lot across the street. Hard to see any signs on where you have to pay but it's not free.

Such a good deal, $40 for 2 glasses from their signature wine list and a charcuterie board of your choice. The server was kind and informative, very friendly and open to conversation. She suggested the board with smoked mackerel, served with warm bread, avocado crema, juicy cherry tomatoes and gherkins. Beautifully presented and so delicious. We loved our Pinots and of course I indulged in a second glass. Peace, The Happy Hour Huntress

Juicy and fresh, and the cornichon touch instead of pickles is perfect. Last time was the dead of winter so we were inside with the disco balls and fun table candles that are a melted concoction. It's very clean, and in the winter the walls were dark green, and this time they were light green. Because of the amazing weather we sat outside, and the waiter Remy made sure to find us a spot that was perfect for our table of two. The string lights and fans were fantastic additions, it felt transportive. We always have the best experience with the servers, and this time it was Remy who was a refreshing delight. Fresh from France, he knows the wine and helped us make the best selection. He's hilarious and real, and so fun. I love the descriptions of the wine on the menu. Give it a good read, it's very entertaining. Pair it with the burger and a glass of vino, and you're set for a great night.

And it's not just the creative food, the outstanding wines, or the accommodating service. It's the one thing that all great restaurants have: an absolute commitment to making sure each customer has a fantastic experience. You can serve all the tasty food you want, but without that commitment, you'll always be good and not great. It's something these folks understand. I'm guessing it's also why everyone - and I mean everyone - we saw in the restaurant during our last visit had a big smile on their face. So yeah, we could recommend the outrageously delicious Balkan platter, the innovative pastas, or the proteins with avant garde flavor combinations. We could talk about the deep, rich wines from Croatia and Slovenia. We could muse about the modern surroundings with rustic touches. But all of that is subservient to the main point here: This is a great restaurant operating at the top of its game. It's worth the visit. It's worth a detour. I know - the secret will be out. But these folks deserve it.

We had the squash bread with apple jam and the bone marrow + steak tartare as starters. Both were so good, especially the steak tartare that just tasted so clean and fresh, pairing nicely with the richness of the bone marrow. It came with these little potato slices that were scooped out to provide a perfect vehicle for the marrow/tartare. My partner had the carrot tart tartin, which he loved, and my scallops with morel mushrooms were perfectly cooked, with the hazelnuts providing such a nice texture. He enjoyed his phony negroni (they also had other NA options, including other mocktails, an NA beer, and an NA Riesling) and I really liked my Good Shepherd cocktail, their unique take on a dirty martini. We were too full for dessert, unfortunately. The service was great - attentive and friendly, but it felt like we were able to take our time and enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed, even though the place was busy. It is definitely on the pricier side and I would recommend reservations as the place was pretty full, but I would absolutely recommend this spot for a delicious, quality meal in Rhinebeck!
