He did his best to guesstimate the cost of a service call based on a similar recent job, and compared that to replacement cost; it's likely not worth it, but he chose honesty over a sale. He told me the part needed to be ordered and he'd let me know how long it was going to be when he received the part. Jeff kept in constant contact with me and did an AWESOME job on my computer. When this problem was going on I had my Mom in the hospital. I was there each day til 8:00 p.m. and when Jeff was finished fixing my computer he brought it to me at the hospital which I thought was amazing. And he didn't charge me extra for bringing it to me. I paid him an extra $10 dollars for doing that and it was worth every penny. There just isn't many stores like this around anymore....if I could give 10 stars I would have. P.S. Jeff also let me have my computer without paying him. It was a Saturday and his shop was closed Sunday. He said it's fine for you to come and pay me Monday. I couldn't believe it...his trust in me.

Evolve Computer in Shelton, CT, and its owner, Mike Terenzio, exhibited utterly unprofessional and…read morefoolish conduct.... I sold them a MacBook Pro months ago, resetting it to factory settings in their presence. They inspected and accepted it as is but failed to check for an MDM profile, which I was unaware of. Despite their supposed expertise, Terenzio falsely accused me of selling a "stolen" device (I've had this device that I purchased for over 5 years) and demanded a $100 refund, claiming I misrepresented the device. His harassing calls and texts, including one on June 12, 2025, calling me a "lowlife" who "peddles stolen computers" and threatening court, were baseless and aggressive. Using a scanned copy of my ID as a threatening tactic over a legally invalid claim is desperate and absurd. He then had the audacity to say, "giving you 72 hours to come down with $100" and then I'll see you in court". Torching a business relationship over a mere $100 with such incompetent, hostile & extortive behavior is beyond foolish. Avoid Evolve Computer for their unethical and clueless practices.

I had a great experience with Elite IT! Brought my iphone 5s in with a cracked screen. They…read morerepaired it for me same day. I did some shopping around on the prices and while Elite IT's were slightly higher ($130ish vs. $100) .. I got 1) a 90-day warranty and 2) an entire mold/kit replacement.. not just the glass replacement. About a week later I noticed a small crack in the glass near my home button and my headphone jack had stopped working. I called Elite IT back up and they said "No worries, we'll fix it for you. You're under warranty". Brought it in and they again fixed it same day. Even stayed open a few extra minutes after closing hours so I could pick it up. Xavier was the best! Very friendly and helpful. Would def go back here vs. a mall store or other 3rd party replacement shop.

When they didn't call, I called them only to hear that I had to pay for a "rush" if I wanted them to look at it in less than FIVE days! But thet would "do me a favor" and look at it now. Two days later I went to pick it up and had to argue that the charges were higher than had been quoted when I authorized the work. Got it home and it didn't work! Plus my data had not been transferred as requested from my back up drive. Had to bring it in a second timec ansd now they wanted $60 more for the data transfer! Do NOT use these people! They are incompetent!
