You pull up to the entrance, doors(flaps) open, you pull through where greeted, by an employee. All I had to do was pop my trunk and they grabbed the donations for me out the trunk. This is probably the most ridiculous thrift store to go to. The prices are crazy high that even used notebooks are being sold for over twice the price than buying it new. They even sell empty containers for more than if you buy the actual item with the food inside. They also take away the color with the 50% tag off the floor. You're better off leaving items you want to get rid off on the curb with a "free" sign than give money to this kind of establishment. read more

Honestly the biggest drawback for me is no fitting rooms. They were strategically taken out to make more profit. I would be spending way more if I could try things in tho. So it's their loss on that. I occasionally come in with legging n a tank top on under my reg clothes to try and try on a few things, but you have to do it in front of everyone which is embarrassing and demeaning. Plus creepy men stair. They even moved the mirrors out of the more inconspicuous areas so you don't have to do it in front of everyone, and now there's no privacy whatsoever! So now I rarely try stuff on. Which means I just don't buy it. Period. I've also noticed the price hike on a lot of things recently too. I'm sorry but when you price Old Navy at almost regular price above what they sell things for at sale price that's ridiculous! I think Savers has lost sight that they aren't a sales store and a second hand store. Other people have worn these clothes sometimes for years, they shouldn't be pricing them at retail or sales prices. You're a second hand store and really need to calm down with the price gouging! On a positive note, I love looking through all the decor items they have! Finding a coupe little treasures is always fun! Pricing vases or chotchkes from the dollar store however for double or triple the price is also laughable and ridiculous! I've seen things there and knew exactly where it was from and went to the dollar tree and picked it up from there instead! Lmao! So in summery, I really wish they'd bring back the fitting rooms cause I'd spend a boatload more, I won't however buy it, try it on at home, just to bring it back and only get store credit. So, lemme see if I've got this right: you can go to Savers to get a large variety of secondhand items that mainly originated from discount stores, as is the case with most thrift stores. And Savers is a spacious, well-organized thrift store, so I'll give it some presentation points. The problem is, as I see it, that you'll pay about the same for a seondhand wine glass that you get here as you would have paid had you just bought it from Marshalls in the first place. I'm all for keeping things out of the landfill when we can, but I'm not sure that buying used goods at new prices is really the way that I wanna do that. And then there's the media: the great joy of the thrifting, for me, anyway, is flipping through piles of old records from artists whom we've mainly lost interest in over time in search of that wonderful gem of kitsch or sentimental fondness or nostalgia, or maybe even you hit the jackpot and find a bona fide classic. And your reward for spending an hour on your knees on a linoleum floor that will never quite come clean again is that you find something fun to take home for 50 cents. Except not here, you don't: I brought a stack of ancient records up to the front and was told that "they're priced individually on the inside" and when the clerk started ringing them up, was stunned to see that they were $5-$7 apiece! Like, actual record stores charge less for yellowing jazz collections from the big-band era. So I said "no thank you" and left, almost certainly never to return. An update to my previous review. Their prices continue to increase, the checkout process continues to be frustrating, and the register employees have the worst attitude. Last week, the line was about 30 people deep, with people cutting in line and staff doing nothing. There was 1 slow moving cashier and 4 self-checkout lanes. Sometimes there is no cashier at all, only self-checkout. There are 2 employees whos job it is to assist at self-checkout, but the majority of the time they stand around and chit chat. It's beyond frustrating to literally do the entire job of the cashiers while they stand around, never offering to assist. As customers we are expected to take the items off the hangers, place the hangers on the designated shelving, scan our own items, enter our coupons, bag our own items (and pay extra for the bags). At one point I had an issue with a coupon during self-checkout and the staff, including the manager (Tina) could not have been more rude about it. read more

Love this place! I have been coming here for years and have found really good stuff! They have a great book section and you can find some pretty cool furniture for cheap. It's a bit pricier than Salvation Army for example but I find that it's still good deals. You can come in on certain days when different color tags will have even bigger discounts. You can donate things and they will give you coupons to go right back in and use. They even have a drive through drop off for bigger items and the workers will help you unload! read more

I'm on a quest for single flowered dinner plates. My nephew is having an outdoor wedding next summer and is looking for unmatched plates for their outdoor table settings. I've been in other thrift stores, most recently Salvation Army, where I found 6 plates that cost me a total of $3.25. Here the prices were much higher! Cheapest were sets of 2 for $3. I noticed some items were decent deals but most were not. I wandered into the clothes area and saw many tops that I could buy cheaper at places like Kohls. I haven't been to a savers in several years, and today I was in the neighborhood so I decided to stop in. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean and organized the store was. I went to the housewears section first, and immediately found some treasures - my mom enjoys collecting aluminum serving platters and lo and behold I found one - for only $5! Next I hit up the kids section, where I saw yellow clothing tags were 50% off, score! I grabbed a few things for my daughter to grow into. I try to thrift a lot of her clothes because she grows so fast and is pretty messy! They have name brands like old navy, gap, and I even found a Matilda Jane top going for $30 on poshmark! I browsed the women's section next, found some great dresses for myself too - J Crew and an Anthropologie brand. I thought the prices were decent, maybe a touch expensive for a thrift store. They really do have a little bit of everything so it was fun to look everywhere! Love this place... first of all, you can drive in to donate and they unload your stuff and they give you a coupon so you can go right back in the store and load up on stuff again... Pro-tip- donate some items to get the 20% off coupon for shipping, do a survey and get a$2 coupon I was looking for a few specific items and guess what? They had them! Beforee you purchase new stuff, check this place.. it's pretty clean (except the restrooms, they're awful which is why I took a star away) There is so much stuff, but it's all organized so it's easy to spend hours in here looking through everything (hence the need for cleaner restrooms) The dressing rooms are closed right now so they give to all day website for exchanges... no refunds here though... The prices have increased a bit but it's still pretty cheap and you're saving stuff from ending up in a landfill... read more

It really is quite a bit pricey for a "Thrift Shop", but like I said, huge variety of everything & less expensive than buying it brand new. I needed a dress, shoes & a purse for a Christmas party & came here because if it's something I may wear only once a year, why pay more ? I found some really nice dresses, tops & shoes this time around. The dress & shoes matched perfectly !! My relationship with this Savers is love hate. Sometimes I love it, find great items, & leave excited to return. Other times, it feels like I'm picking through literal retail priced garbage, & the hate creeps in. I guess that's the thrift life, but when Savers is garbage-y is REALLY garbage-y. In the last year, prices have increased, I think exponentially & unnecessarily, for items that should not be priced high. The cause for this is somewhat of a mystery, especially since the media tells us that there's more second hand stuff than the planet can handle. If this is true, why price things high?? Oh right, corporate greed. I also think employees get familiar with brands that are popular or retail high, & set pricing based on that knowledge. Like I said, corporate greed, & it's minions... An example that always irks me is the pricing of Vera Bradley items. They are used, imperfect, second hand, & yet I can get some of these items for less on clearance sales! Kids clothes too, the pricing drives me crazy. Especially for premium brands. Yes, this item is Hanna Anderson or Mini Boden, but it's still used & possibly lightly stained, & yet it's priced oddly high for kids clothing! I love looking at toys & games, but they too have increased in price... for items that are missing pieces or need sanitizing. Of course, I still come back because you never know when you're going to find that chupacabra of an item that you've been longing for! And that's an exhilarating moment, which make digging through garbage on the most garbage-y days worth it! read more

Passed by three garage sales all offering "bargoons," as the sign indicated, and boy, do I feel like a true goon myself for not just heading straight for the thrift store from the get go. Decided to go the extra distance to Savers, and time was the last thing that I saved. The place is massive. They were having a sale on the color blue, as indicated on the tags. A sucker for a cheap find, I scoured all the racks, and while I did come away with some super low cost finds (guess who looks dapper in her new tuxedo shirt, huzzah) there were a good handful of things that I left behind because of how expensive they were for a second hand store. For the well trained cheapskate eye, it's a treasure hunt through racks sorted by size, as opposed to color like other similarly genred stores. The aisles were also wider than other thrift shops I've been to, to allow room for the rolling baskets. The elbow room carries over to the fitting rooms too, with wide mirrors and enough hooks to hang your findings. There's even a bathroom, and they allow exchanges of some of their merchandise. This place does have its flaws. For what you're getting, some of the prices reflect what you'd pay first hand at a place like Target. And they have so many knick knacks that they've bundled them together in sacks. Which rots, because you only want the one bit, and end up paying 3 bucks for the rest of the stuff you'll just end up donating back. They make you pay for a bag (I went for the 10cent paper sack as I couldn't fit my new copy of Guess Who in my backpack) so if you're going crazy, you'll need to remember to bring your reusable bags. It's nestled into a pretty busy intersection, but once you've worn your feet ragged from walking around the whole place, at least you can fill up on tea next door. I'm a dedicated treasure-hunter. Not for sunken ships in the ocean, though. My hunt happens on the lawns of strangers, in the ads of Craigslist, and through the aisles of thrift stores. You never know what gems you are going to find when you sail the second-hand seas. I'm a regular at Savers. I make it in at least once or twice a month. The store is very well organized, much better than some other thrift stores. Clothes are by type and size. Housewares are well categorized. Even books are organized into different easy-to-peruse types and subjects. I've found many riches on my Savers quests. Recently I found a nearly new Crock Pot Mini that I now use for my lunch just about every day. Before that, I found a couple thermos containers in great shape so our daughter can take hot soup to school lunch. A while ago I found a barely used NutriBullet blender that we use all the time. My awesome hair straightener came from Savers, too. I have books, sweaters, dresses, boots, pots and pans, office supplies, decorative wall art and chachkies, kids clothes, clothes for my husband, my daughter's travel dance bag, our overnight bag, my bingo bag, purses, movies, planters, photo frames, candles, bedding, throw blankets and pillows, glassware, alarm clocks, toys, all from Savers, the list goes on, and on and on. I do agree with other reviewers that Savers prices are on the high end for thrift stores, and I docked a star for that. I do pick up and put down many items that I might have taken off their hands if the price was a buck or two lower. But Savers does run 50% off sales often. Sign up for their shoppers club and emails to stay in the loop on sale days. If you aren't averse to buying used goods, I highly recommend Savers. Not the best thrift store, but definitely not the worst. I've been there a few times and I usually find one or two things every time. Pretty much like anytime you go thrift shopping- you have to dig through the racks to find those hidden jems and you may or may not find any. I found a vest for $8 and a jacket for $5. So glad for this find. It is my go-to place for items that I don't care to throw out or donate back to the store after I am done using them. The store is extremely organized, especially when comparing to the Salvation Army. If you're patient and peruse the shelves and aisles, you might be able to find things that are new too. I washed all of these items with hot water, bleach or disinfectant wipes. $7 - sturdy, wooden end table near my bed $8 - new, unopened box of heated hair rollers $4 - stainless steel, made in the US frying pan $4 - 32 oz thermos that keeps my coffee hot for 12+ hours $3 - large plastic garbage bin that you would probably get for $10+ from Walmart or Target $3 - plastic step stool $2 - dish drying rack $2-3 - vases, unique planters $12 - set of matching, durable, ceramic dinner set, 12 pieces I recommend this store to all my friends, especially those who recently moved into a new place and need the basic items in their home. In my most recent visit, the Halloween merchandise are displayed. Surprised to see that 90% of the merchandise was new but plenty of used costumes to pick from for all ages and sizes. Why get a new costume when you could get a used one for 25% of the price, especially if you're only going to wear it for one night and potentially grow out of it. read more

Not that the store employees are responsible for resellers bad behavior and the staff is very nice but when someone tries to take something out of my CHILD'S cart and she has to yell for me-nope not going to happen and someone like that should be asked to leave but she was obviously a "regular". Even with the coupons I rarely go now since there are too many aggressive downright nasty people at this specific location in my experience. Plenty of thrift stores to shop very close by with a nicer atmosphere. All self checkout now , prices raised from free items , it's it's ridiculous to have to check out the items that they got for free while everyone standing over your shoulders because God forbid they think that you might steal some thing and the prices are ridiculous. You can go to the store and buy the items brand new in many cases it's disorganized it's messy it's dirty and they cut back on staff so it's obvious that they're having issues within the store. Savers is a decent place to go if you're looking to explore a thrift store, though definitely not my favorite. As many of the other reviews note, the store is large and has a great selection but the pricing just isn't competitive with other similar businesses. The store is large, clean, and well organized. Lots of clothing for adults and children, random home goods, a nice little book section, a bit of furniture. Definitely feels brighter and better put together than a Goodwill or Amvets. For me the big drawback is the excessive pricing - some examples being $3 DVDs (usually $1 at Goodwill), books that are $2.50-$3.99 (again, usually 50 cents to $1 elsewhere), a uniform cost of at least $11.50 across women's dresses regardless of brand (for example, an Old Navy dress that might have even been less at the original store). I get that it's a business, but if the point is to sell donated items for inexpensive prices then they're somewhat missing the mark. I had fun perusing it and am glad I checked it out to see if I was missing anything, but turns out I really wasn't - probably won't be back in the future. read more

Today's experience at Savers was 100% awful! This grumpy lady walked away from the check out seeing that the line was full of people. She never returned in about the 7 minutes we spent waiting. This place is also full of dust and the smell is enough to turn any patrons away. I would not recommend coming her even for interesting finds. Just go to estate sales in your local area. It'll leave you with a much better experience. read more
