I'm giving the bakery and baker's in this store a 5 star rating for doing a fantastic job on my son's birthday cake without any complaints. Very FRIENDLY here, unlike the 2 snobbie baker's off from the Safeway's bakery at 11th st, here in tracy who didn't take my order for my son's 3rd birthday cake right (which I posted a picture of my son's sloppy cake from Safeway on their site on here, and wrote a long complaint about them too!), I don't know their names but I WILL find out who they are for sure! I hate to write this terrible review but that guy Adrian needs to be fired. I was just there w/my 7 yr old getting milk for the night.. we came in probably 20 min before closing ( I didn't know they closed at 10pm or else I would have never went) but a girl announces over the intercom they are closing.. all of a sudden that kid Adrian gets on and says "YEAH SO HURRY UP" on the intercom for everyone in the store to hear! Anyways we get up to the line and Adrian starts bagging my stuff.. so I say "thanks so much!!" he ignores me.. then I say it louder for him .. so loud in fact that Cynthia ( the respectful and polite cashier) says "Adrian did you hear her???" And he continues to ignore me and says to Cynthia "yeah I heard her" she is apologizing to me about how rude he is but Adrian is just continuing to turn up his music on his phone and then puts in his earbuds. I understand it's annoying I came late, but It's not like I did it on purpose and once I heard they were closing, we rushed to get to the check out line. I worked at Safeway for 3 years as a cashier and they would never tolerate a disrespectful employee like that. I don't usually ever have bad experiences like this one, and maybe he was just having a bad day.. but have some respect for another human being who is thanking you for doing the job that you chose to do and get paid for doing. If I could give less I would. I was trying to tell them that their sanitation station was completely empty. Because 4 workers were standing right there talking we went up just to say hey in case you didn't notice and someone might need it because Covid-19 the woman worker was so rude when we told her and she acted so insulted that we would even think to interrupt their conversation to tell them something. she made my family feel uncomfortable and then stood by giving my daughter this stare of anger and her other co workers stood and did the same thing. I don't normally write these things but it made my experience so bad I had to write about it. read more

As far as neighborhood grocery stores go, save mart is a good blend of quality and prices. While the meat selection isn't as nice as Raley's it's markedly cheaper as well. Overall it's a cheaper Safeway without the big chain bella and whistles. read more

I have been coming to this Save Mart back when it was Albertsons! I've always enjoy d this quick and convenient grocery store. The fruits and veggies are always fresh, the pre seasoned/marinated eats taste amazing, and the the environment is welcoming. I wish the would redo their floors like the Save Mart is Ripon, but overall that is a cosmetic. I love this location and I definite recommend the pre-marinated meats for quick dinners on a work night. read more

My neighborhood store. I am in here several times a week. It's nice to be treated well and have my daughter treated special. The cashiers are always kind, helpful and quick. The deli is clean, quick and the food has always been quality. Produce is always clean and fresh. Meats are good variety. I love the 99¢ veggies in the back corner in the afternoons-I get to buy veggies, fruits or other items that would expire in a day or two at a great deal. I couldn't find a single serving ice cream one day, but other than that I have always gotten what a came for. read more

Love the new remodel! It's a feeling of fresh and natural. I especially appreciate that there is a Bank of America there, as it is convenient and had better hours. They have tables in the front so you can get food at the deli and eat there if you are on a break. Huge beverage department in the back. It's more expensive than Winco or FoodMaxx, but I like the layout and self check. If you log in online and set up an account, you will get emails with coupons and a free product each week. read more

I don't normally do reviews for grocery stores but tonight I was having a really bad night. I live across the street from this save mart but I don't normally do alot of shopping there. Well tonight I came in just before they were about to close because I'm almost 7 months pregnant and I hadn't eaten anything all day due to my financial state. I gathered all my food and got to the checkout with like 15 minutes until close. I won't go into detail but my day had been going down the drain and I was pretty much on the brink of loosing it and there was a man there scanning my items who spoke with such a kindness and understanding voice. he asked if I wanted bags. I thought to myself "ohh I forgot I needed bags to carry this stuff home" there was no way I could afford even a 10 cent bag. I told him no it's ok I can't afford it. I go and swipe my ebt card and he informs me that the bags are covered by it. No one had ever told me. I wish I could remember the mans name and let him know how much his kind demeanor meant to me. read more

Theres a bunch of clowns running this show. Save yourself a great deal of disappointment and time by avoiding their bakery!!! I ordered a cake from here for a baby shower I was planning a week ago. When I arrived, they told me they did not have a cake for me and there was no record of my order. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get the name of the individual taking my order. She put me on hold to grab an "order sheet" and I went over the details of the cake with her quite a few times. Now I know they are incompetent and cannot be trusted with special events. If you are in a hurry or even a slight rush, this is NOT your deli. I waited over 10 minutes in the sandwich line with only one person in front of me. They have not mastered the new options in the deli without a guide book. There were several employees moving about behind the counter but no one offered help. One employee finished her order and told me she would be with me in a moment....then started getting supplies out and restocking the deli area. Not sure why this couldn't be done when no one was waiting. Thank Goodness Rodrigo came out from the back and finally someone offered to make me a sandwich. Over 20 minutes to get a sandwich is too long for a fancy new deli. The staff needs to know to help now and restock later! read more

Stopped in to pick up some fish filets but arrived at 9a. Female employee had fish in plastic bags on a rolling rack. No Ice just sitting on the cart. When I arrived the shellfish and maybe salmon was in the case on ice. Well she was yapping away with every employee who came her way, needless to say, 25 minutes went by and everything was still the way as it was when I walked in 25min prior. I picked up everything I needed except the fish as it probably warmed up to unsafe levels. I ended up driving to Raley's for the fish. It is not hard to see why so many people are getting sick these days from unsafe foods. People are simply not trained on how to handle meat, fish, dairy and veggies anymore or they just don't care? I live a few blocks away and come here often because its more convenient. I've notice that some of the employees here are pretty rude. I leave for work at 5 in the morning and stopped by to grab something. As i went in, i walked pass five or six employees, including a manager without any greetings. On top of that, the manager was going to have an employee follow me. When i was walking back, the employee looked at what i had in my hand and said to the manager "see, thats all he needed". My thought was, this manager thought I was going to steal something. Prices here aren't great either, i don't mind driving a little farther to get my groceries. read more

I love this store. After the remodel it looks so clean and fresh. The staff at the burrito counter is still learning the craft, but it is BRAND NEW afterall lol! The food they have gotten seems a lot more high end after the remodel. they have twice the selection of fresh seafood than before, they create some amazing prepared dishes with their meats I only wish their wine selection was better but other than that i enjoy it a lot. read more

The grocery store clerks used to be helpful. The night time, little toad shaped man, was quite rude, when I asked him where the sure jell was. He shouted, "Don jell @ me lady." I wasn't yelling, he was. No one knew where it was, except finally some bagger named James, knew where it was. The Pharmacy is a JOKE. They sold me a defective Advair asthma inhaler, & when I tried to exchange it the next day, Rahda told me I "would have to contact the manufacturer, since it costs them money to replace defective items." Well, I shop at Save Mart almost daily. I find the staff to be helpful and the bakery and deli are pretty good. However, I had not had much luck with the seafood. Twice I have purchased seafood (red snapper and small shrimp) and it smelled funny when I got it home. The shrimp actually made me a little sick - thank God I only ate a couple pieces. All in all, it's a good market but avoid the seafood. This is a rating for the Grass Valley store, BTW. read more

Anyone who shops Save Mart in Tracy knows that they remodeled the only remaining store in town. They sent out coupons via mail. I've used a couple when convenient. I appreciate the hot deli/ burrito/ hot food counter. Admittedly, the staff could use a bit more training, but that isn't their fault. I have confidence that all will fall into their cadence. That being said I hope that the staff upholds the passion of having a "new" store. I have been a regular at Save Mart my entire life albeit at the older locations, but I love Save Mart so you guys, please keep up the good work! Don't get bored, please! read more

Clean store with fresh products and the prices are fine compared to other grocery stores. I saw a couple of reviews in here with people saying that they have gotten expired product and I agree with them 100% because I purchased a pack of Energizer Hearing Aid Batteries size 10 for my mother in law and paid over $14 for one pack, the next day she tried several and noticed none of them were working so I checked the pack and it had expired on March 2014, that's six months ago. I went to the store the next day to check on the rest of Energizer Hearing Aid Batteries size 10, same as the one I purchased, and all of the packages had the same Exp. Date of March, 2014 Now the question is: Why do they let this to happen? Is there somebody responsable in checking these batteries before putting them on the shelf? I talked to the Manager and his response was that he tought batteries last for a long time before they expired. Well, he's correct, they do last a long time, but they probably got an old box from the vendor, that's why it is important to do everything they can to avoid old/expired products and make sure that they will not hit the shelves. Now I'm out of $14 and ended up with a bunch of old, good for nothing batteries and I won't get my $$ back because I don't have the receipt and no way to prove I purchased from them because I paid in cash, my lost. their gain. Oh well, next time I will remember to check the Exp. Date on each and every product (food or non-food) before I put them in my basket. Just don't trust this store anymore. read more

My van was tow by mgmt for being there to long (6hrs) . I had trouble starting it after shopping at the store. When I came back. . No van . My # is clearly on the van. (No call) . Instead they decided to have it towed. After calling the # listed about towed cars the # go's to a dealership part's department. After calling the tracy PD and found the tow lot , I was charged $280 . The had my vehicle less then 24hrs. I would have easily spent that amount at Savemart within 2weeks. BUT NOW I AND MY FAMILY WILL NEVER EVER ENTER THAT STORE OR COMPANY AGAIN. read more

This review is for the stamp cookware program. The store itself is okay, the produce I find mediocre. Last year I participated in the stamps for free cookware program, by the time I went to redeem mine they were out of the pan that I wanted and they said they could order it for me and it would get in around April, mind you that was 3 months away. I thought it was a bit long but said sure. April came and went no phone call saying my cookware was in, I asked someone they said they'd find out and give me a call sometime that week... no call. July came and I was pretty fed up because I had asked about it several times by then, I asked for the manager it took about 20 mins of me waiting with my two toddlers before they could find my information. They said they didn't order enough, and that they ordered more and I asked when would I receive it. She said I'd get a call sometime that week letting me know the full details. I even called savemart customer service to ask for help, I was told they would talk to the manager of the store and I would get a call... nothing. It is now September, 8 months after I turned in my stamps and I still have not received my cookware nor a phone call or any information on when I might receive it. I am utterly disappointed in how this store has handled the situation. It is horrible customer service. I will be asking for a refund of whatever tax I paid for the pan and I will no longer be shopping here. read more

This review is for the bakery department -- specifically the bakery team. I have spent hundreds of dollars on tiered cakes but I will NEVER go anywhere but SaveMart from now on. Rose in the bakery is incredibly creative and designs the same cakes as external bakers who charge $250 and up. The cake is extremely important to me and Rose took time to really listen to what I wanted as well as gave great ideas on how to make it happen. Man I just wish they were able to use fondant but otherwise you can get the most beautifully elegantly designed buttercream or whipped cakes. Thank you Rose and team! I am a veteran, I served 20 years fighting for our freedom, lost both of my legs and am now only able to get to place to place with the help of my children and motor wheel chair. I called the Savermart's "service desk" and got the opposite! All I got was attitude, and unprofessional behavior. I can't believe how rude she was when i was asking a simple question and was on hold for 30 minutes. I will never shop here again, savemart needs to think twice abo1ut who they are hiring, I had a horrible experience and will now shop at Raleys. Rented a rug doctor today and when I returned the manager refused to return my $20 deposit due to a single hair in the upper filter...I cleaned the machine main bucket and explained that to him but he refused to even discuss it. I have filed a complaint with SAVEMART the owner of the store to request a refund. Not impressed with customer relations at this store at all. read more

This review is about Savemart Pharmacy in Tracy. The people working there are lazy. They never call to let me know my prescription is available. Recently they refused to do some minor paperwork to get coverage approval for my insurance. They charge me the full amount which I paid. When I ask them to file a form they said they don't do it. I switched to a different pharmacy and they offered to do the paperwork without me asking. Will never go back to these bunch of lazy bums again. read more

I've always had a good service here. The staff is friendly and smiling. I actually started going here about a year ago because of the grumpy staff at Safeway. Almost every morning that I tried to go into Safeway a door would be locked...and then if I did get in the staff was grumpy and it's hard to go down any iles because they are blocked with boxes. So after many many tries I finally skipped going to Safeway if I needed anything and went to this Savemart. It was like a breath of fresh air. Wow....I can actually walk down the iles without tripping. Amazing...the staff are smiling and saying good morning. I was in SHOCK!!! Anyway...I like this store a LOT. Maybe it's not the cheapest on everything.....who is.....nobody has the cheapest price on every single thing....nobody. And the friendly staff makes me feel better instead of worse...like that other store did. So yeah...I almost never go to that other store anymore and I'm so GLAD to have this store around. Not a bad store per-say. Savings are decent and staff is very helpful. Management has some issues in my opinion. Yelling at top of lungs towards an employee infront of customers is a no no. being harassed by security after buying a drink inside and sitting down outside for 5 minutes is also a no no. I live down the street from Safe mart but I will drive as far as I have to , and pay more money rather than go to these these pieces of you know what, prices are ridiculous, the service,oh boy don't start me on that. Last time I went in there , the fat cashiers rings me up and I'm telling her that the advertised price is less than this and she's looking at me and talking to me like I'm lying and then she wants me to go back and bring the proof from where I got the product. Never again will I go there,wish could give then negative star. I am a very busy person but imagine how much they have pissed me off that I'm sitting here and writing this so other people realize what kind of pieces of turd they're dealing with. You want good prices and courteous people try Food Maxx on the corner of 11th and Corral Hollow.
