Whooohoo! Actually the ensaimada was a surprise, I saw a box of 4 on the shelf and the lady was very friendly so I took a chance (it looked so good, it was calling me ) and bought it. It was delicious!! I'll go back and buy again.

Resolved myself to driving to Tracy Modesto, or Stockton, and had checked Yelp to determine the closest Filipino Market and discovered this market had recently opened and was only 5 miles away! Located in what seems like a rural road next to the railroad tracks in a small strip of businesses that included a tiny post office. The market is small and filled with all the essentials. I was hoping that they would have some ready-made snacks to go or baked goods, but they didn't. If you're looking for packaged noodles, lumpia wrappers, rice and most of your basic pantry items and snacks including Mama Sita and Magnolia ice cream, then you're all set. Unfortunately, the fresh vegetables that they did have was limited and were laying out on a table or in boxes on the floor and looked more wilted than fresh due to lack of refrigeration. In a pinch, this place is great and they have lots of packed snacks.

The one star reviews sound like bitter competition. We just came in to browse. Fresh juice and malai ice cream was good. It was my first time trying malai ice cream. A malai tub in the frozen section says rich cream as the flavor, under the description. They let you sample the ones at the front and I quite like malai. Tastes like a creamy condensed milk without the crazy sugar rush, not overly sweet. Went to the back and found an assortment of frozen foods. Grabbed a personal sized Smokey paneer pizza. Turned out quite good. Also got a Vadilal branded pista/pistachio ice cream. Certain places in the world have a floral-y - like taste to them and I think it's the cardamom. I notice it in some rose ice cream and this one has a more stronger floral flavor with the pistachio in it. Don't know if that's the cardamom. Quite pleasant though. Will probably come back to have another juice, checkout the marinated meats and grab a Dubai chocolate bar.

There's a restaurant area and a shopping market with a wall separating the two. Apparently, it's Fijian owners. At this writing, I saw myself and one more person dine in. Myself, not being of Indian descent, can't offer a true measure of Indian spicing value but the food was very good. For the sake of Manteca finally having an Indian buffet again, I'm just happy to have one.

I ordered a tri-tip sandwich and it was very good.I felt that they used too much sauce on the tri tip & didn't give the tri tip itself it's own flavor. The adobe was very tasty and the rice was good as well.My son enjoyed all of the food and loved the lumpia. I am a fan and if I see them catering out somewhere, I will give them another try

We stood in line for 2 hours, for mediocre food, because they were rolling and frying Lumpia per order... Their Garlic Lumpia was just 4 vegetable egg rolls with no garlic actually in the rolls, just chopped garlic on top of the rolls. And it wasn't much garlic either. They had another Lumpia that was just a traditional Lumpia with meat, and no garlic. I've had better frozen lumpia... The only positive you could say is that everything was made fresh in front of you, hence the 2 hour wait. If you come across them at a festival, be warned, you may be in for a very long wait...
