Walked in not knowing what to expect. Some hot food like samosas, ice cream, fresh juice station and sweets to the right. Groceries to the left. Pretty organized and clean. The one star reviews sound like bitter competition. We just came in to browse. Fresh juice and malai ice cream was good. It was my first time trying malai ice cream. A malai tub in the frozen section says rich cream as the flavor, under the description. They let you sample the ones at the front and I quite like malai. Tastes like a creamy condensed milk without the crazy sugar rush, not overly sweet. Went to the back and found an assortment of frozen foods. Grabbed a personal sized Smokey paneer pizza. Turned out quite good. Also got a Vadilal branded pista/pistachio ice cream. Certain places in the world have a floral-y - like taste to them and I think it's the cardamom. I notice it in some rose ice cream and this one has a more stronger floral flavor with the pistachio in it. Don't know if that's the cardamom. Quite pleasant though. Will probably come back to have another juice, checkout the marinated meats and grab a Dubai chocolate bar. read more

A nice upcoming grocery story with a lot to offer the large local Indian community. They offer fresh produce, packed goods, home goods, and pre marinated meats. I am hopefully they will continue to expand their offerings as they grow. read more

They have an incredible selection of spices and dried beans/rice along with all kinds of jarred, canned, and frozen foods. The selection and price of dairy products is also great. The produce selection and quality varies by day, but is always priced reasonably. I find the organization of the store a bit confusing, for example spices are in two different isles and on my most recent visit the same exact tea was in more than one location. The dairy also seems to be in more than one location and has moved from time to time. I suspect that the issues related to confusing organization are the result of the store still being very new and the staff trying to maintain the widest selection of products for the given space. Overall, navigating a slightly confusing organization is not a big deal. I'm really glad to have this shop nearby. Many of the products are new to me and the reasonable prices make me feel comfortable trying new things. I plan to continue to try something new with each visit. read more

We stumbled upon Raunaq Bazar while visiting Lathrop. It is very authentic Panjabi Store that carries the largest variety of items - groceries, brass and steel utensils, fresh produce, worship items, Indian style beds, even bikes! . Plus ready to eat food (Chaats, Gole Gappe and more). Preet, the Manager personally came and asked if she could help. Check-out staff was friendly, smiling and very helpful. One of the owners also came and thanked us for shopping. Wow! Keep up the extremely friendly Panjabi spirit! We will visit this wonderful store again. read more

Ate at the food truck at this huge grocery store. There was a little confusion with the order. The food truck guys went way beyond to make sure kids were happy. They threw so much extra food, gave us fresh hot tea. If someone ones to enjoy good hot Indian street food, this truck is the way to go. They guys in truck never frowned, and we're ready to go to next step just to make customers happy. We are going happy, and I am sure you would be happy too. New Indian Supermarket in Manteca Manteca has a great new Indian supermarket Raunak Bazar! This is by the 99 just south of 120 (you can't miss it from the 99). I visited it last week, and they just opened up the week before. This is the largest Indian grocery store in Manteca and I think is a great addition to our city. They are doing construction work so more stuff is coming soon. Now I know where to go for 25 pounds of red onions for only $10.99! They even have free snacks and chai tea! The staff at Raunak Bazar is amazing. We were in a bind for a last minute cake for my daughter's birthday and they came to the rescue. They were able to get a full sheet of cake made within two days notice. The cake itself was beautifully decorated and had a fresh and moist taste. Everyone at the event praised the cake for its deliciousness and appearance. Besides cake and other pastries they also sell other groceries and other items as well. Go check them out! Clean inside well respectful staff the food truck with the Punjabi food takes time because everything is fresh. You have to pay before you pick up food FYI. Definitely would come back again. They also have Indian cakes and marinated meats. Free chai and pakora on a cold day which was nice because they were fresh and warm! read more

I was excited to check out this new local grocery store. The location is convenient and the concept has potential. Unfortunately, the quality of the groceries is very poor. Many items, especially the produce, are not fresh, some were soggy, and during my visit today, there were flies all over the vegetables. I even noticed spider webs on some of them. It was extremely filthy and concerning. Honestly, a food health inspector needs to visit this place. Until serious improvements are made, I wouldn't recommend shopping here. read more

I went to this store because of all the hype. I checked their online ad for the prices. The prices for the items were very different than advertised. I also got charged for an extra item that I did not buy. This place offers very dishonest services and would be very careful to shop here. Unfortunately, this is one of the worst Indian grocery stores I've been to. The store is extremely dirty -- floors, shelves, and even the checkout area were in terrible condition. There were flies landing on products, which is completely unacceptable for a food store. The produce section was even worse -- most of the fruits and vegetables were either rotten, moldy, or so old they should have been thrown away days ago. I also noticed many expired items still on the shelves. The store just feels neglected and unhygienic overall. It's disappointing because the community deserves better. I would not recommend shopping here until they seriously clean up and improve their standards. Health inspectors should follow up here. read more
