Tocino and Homado sausage.

I was so excited to find out this Asian market had Filipino style meats. Since we don't have any chow kings in the valley. My husband hooked up a Chow King inspired breakfast. Overall this store is full of the kind of stuff an educated Asian gastronomist would really enjoy. I definitely plan on going back and exploring more of their products.

We decided to stop by here back in July. We did a quick browse around and only purchased a few items. This place has a small selection of meat/poultry and veggies and also they don't have that many selections of frozen desserts.

Shared parking in a plaza, tons of parking. Really small market, prices are a few dollars more than you'll find at another Asian market. Not much of a variety but did find some things you can't find locally. Such as different spam flavors only seen in Hawaii. Not too much fresh fish available or vegetables, but if you're not willing and able to drive a little further it'll do. Two workers at the register continued to laugh loudly and talk about customers while helping others, rude service! I probably would not return.

I've been here twice now and those 2 times was actually interesting for me. This place is a decent sized asian store and it carries most of the Asian product you'll see in a bigger store. Fresh produce are sometimes hit or miss as the tiny section that they have can get empty with no sign of getting restock. Their meat section is also on a smaller size, but they carry the regular fared meats. Frozen sections have the ready to heat foods, beef/pork bones for soup, and lots more. Definitely one of my go to place to get my groceries.

I love this place they have a great variety of Asian foods and other cool stuff. We got our spoons for pho, some Baby Bok Choy, and some super spicy noodles that my wife and daughter loved but I could not eat. Can't remember the brand but we made whole fried Tilapia, ( they did not have any of that style of fish so full disclosure) we got that at Costco. We get our Asian inspired items here like miso soup base, sesame seed oil, noodles, soy sauce and other stuff. Great service, clean and convenient/ ample parking.

Had to grab a few of these soft serve

My favorite place to go! Used to go to them in their old location and so happy to see them come back strong. I grew up in the bay area, 15 minutes outside San Francisco. Moving to Turlock, it was so hard for me to find all the things I grew up with. I just have to drive to Modesto now and can find almost everything I need! I grew up on longanisa sausages and for years, I didn't know the name because my dad always bought them and I missed the flavors so much. When I found out the Asian market had them in the meat case, I knew I had to get them every time I visit. I also snag some pork torino! So goof! My husband is addicted to the 3 in 1 coffee packs. We also love to get the Thai tea! I walked down the sake row and found the sake we would enjoy at a sushi restaurant we hadn't been to in years. I immediately grabbed 4 cans, because I had never seen them in store before. They have a huge variety of sakes available. My you get was with me and needed to get a soft serve from the freezer. Can't wait to go back to see what I can find! Staff is always friendly!

Kimchi liquid leaked out from can and onto other contents in my grocery bag. Kimchi is pungent, so imagine how fun that was.

Bought kimchi that was in a mason jar and on the way home it leaked all over my grocery bag and other contents. Called the store, guessing it was the manager, but he said they get it locally and they do have a tendency to leak. I asked about the possibility of it being tampered with due to the lack of a seal and he was adamant it wasn't tampered with. Said only two employees who are family handle the product. Told me not worry but not very reassuring. Wasted $8 on a product I can't use anymore. If something is properly canned/pressurized it shouldn't leak! Had to throw away the whole bag and try to salvage the other items. You've got a health/food violation going on, I'd rethink who you're buying from. USDA is responsible for canning regulations.

It's amazing how much resilience, dedication, and perseverance can be put into a store. This is an Asian market that has been in talks soon after the fire that took place in 2019 that burnt down the original Asian Market on Carver Rd. As someone who's family has gone to the Asian Market for over 20 years, you bet that we were excited to hear the grand opening of this brand new location! This store is so much bigger than the old one and have way more items stocked on shelf! They carry all assortment of "Asian" items that you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. Craving to make a pho dish? Maybe some hot pot? Or perhaps Korean? This place will be the spot for you to grab all the essential ingredients to make the Asian cuisine you are dying to eat. In the back is a seafood aisle that could include crabs, squid, shrimp, and a variety of fish. What really sold me was how they have Korean Soju here!! I used to have to go all the way out to Stockton, Livermore, etc. just to grab this but not anymore! Asian Market is a spot that the Central Valley needed and I am glad it is back in our community.

Glass Booth Iced Area - Fish, Seafood, Chicken (wish they also have beef & pork)

LOL, I wanted so bad to be the 1st to review this Grand Opening! Checked their FB regularly to prepare for the opening date & time. Even plan on coming hours before the opening time on its first day to ensure I get to be 1st to review! Unfortunately, on the Grand Opening day 10/11/2020 (Sunday), I came only to find they have no Yelp page yet hahaha!!! Nonetheless, This is it!!! The long awaited opening for this latest & greatest Asian mini-Market of all in Modesto is finally here at a brand new location, with a brand new look & interior (much bigger & roomier), for a brand new beginning (since its unfortunate arson incident at its original location on Carver Rd). Huge parking spaces, friendly staffs, social-distancing & mask wearing Covid-19 conformances, large variety of items even bigger, and better than before!!! Notice they now have the fish, seafood, and chicken glass booth area mimicking that of a real Supermarket chain, minus the beef & pork. So far, things are looking good as they are still in the process of finishing up their stocking. I would give them 5-stars if they would provide Fish-Frying like those big Asian supermarkets (99 Ranch, SF, Lion's, etc.) along with adding fresh beef & pork in the glass booth iced area. Their overall price is decent.
