Traditional Mediterranean seasonings that I add to starches and protein, dishes Pleasant soft herb flavor.

Yesterday I had another amazing trip to the Babylon market. The owner is at the counter consistently with helpful Customer Service. Stepping inside is like taking a trip overseas. Each item is carefully curated to maximize quality at a fair price. For relatively small space the selection is amazing. I enjoy going in there to buy high-quality luxury goods like Bulgarian feta cheese, specialty jams, and jellies, especially apricot cherry and pomegranate. The fresh walnuts are whole halves sold in bulk and are very fresh. There are European candies sold loose or in packages.; fresh pitas, hummus, olives, spices and carious staples. I really love the high-quality tea that he sells that I have not found for sale elsewhere, especially from Galil, the Anise caught my eye last time, smooth licorice flavor. I was surprised that it has a single ingredient; Anise seed. No flavors. No preservatives. Yesterday I also bought the pomegranate tea, which is a lovely blend of various red Hibiscus leaves and tart fruits like rose hips. Quality, service and value in a local business worth supporting.

They have everything your heart can desire. Their selections are bar none compared to other Assyrian stores in the area! Really clean and well maintained!

I like this place! They have a good selection of middle eastern goods that you can't get too many other Places. The people who work here are really nice and helpful. Always offer to help take things to the car. Awesome service. It's a small place but has a good selection and new things always coming in. Always find parking. Sometimes packed sometimes no ones there. I go about three times a month to stock up. The only downfall is I feel like their pita bread is inconsistent, some fresh some not so fresh. Maybe Mixed? Anyway, great place to have in Modesto!

- The Feta cheese is fresh made, in baths of water, would recommend try all three variations, consistently good and beyond what you are used to in the local supermarket.

A lovely grocery store!…read more Trader Joes offers a wide variety of produce, meats, dairy, premade and frozen meals, snacks, and drinks. The have a nice cheese selection which make for great charcuterie boards. All their Trader Joe's branded items are great, but their produce is often lacking. I was looking for some eggplants but they were super soft and already too wrinkled to buy. I also tried to buy some heirloom tomatoes but their Best Buy date was nearly a week before the date I came shopping and were all squishy. This location is horrifically crowded. No matter the time of day, it is super busy and you can barely walk down the aisles. Everyone is bumping into each other and walking the wrong direction, making the shopping experience really miserable. I would love to walk around the store and take time to browse but I cannot bear to stay in there longer than a few minutes because I don't want to get bumped into. The parking experience is similar. There is never any parking and you'll need to circle the lot for probably 10 minutes before you find a space. Regardless, the store is pretty organized and the shelves are well-stocked. I've had mixed experiences with the staff. The majority of the time, the crew members really encapsulate the friendly and kind-hearted nature that Trader Joe's employees are known for. However, my most recent visit was unfortunately different. When asking for my ID for an alcohol purchase, I wasn't even asked. The cashier, without even looking up from bagging very curtly said, "give me your ID." Her demeanor was not welcoming and rubbed me the wrong way a bit. I would recommend those to come here only if they need something in particular and if you have the whole day to spend looking for parking and crawling around the store.

The prices are…read moreconsistently competitive, so much so that I consistently go out my way to shop here every month. A few reasons why I'd recommend shopping here is because the selection is excellent--I frequently discover new items that I end up enjoying. The store is well-maintained and exceptionally clean, and the staff is consistently helpful and courteous. One of the most convenient features is that the store is open 24 hours. Visiting late at night (around 11 PM to 2 AM) is particularly ideal, as the store is being restocked, it is less crowded, and there are minimal wait times at checkout. If you're someone like me with a not-so-convenient work schedule this place is a life saver! Although the layout can be somewhat confusing, the prices are generally lower than those at other grocery stores in the surrounding cities. It is an excellent place to purchase meat, fresh fruits and veggies, pantry items and frozen foods. The prices for dog/cat food and cat litter are UNBEATABLE!

The deli counter no longer slices any deli meats to order. Everything now is prepackaged and in predetermined amounts. Some items are not available at all. The checkout lines can be extremely long so, I often used the self checkout, but now the staff has been instructed to count your items and if you have more than 15 items then you are banished to stand in the regular checkout line where there are not enough cashiers. These lines can have 6 or 7 full grocery carts in front of you and where as I only have 16 items. Also, you are not allowed to buy a turkey or ham at self checkout or you will be told to go stand in a line. This is a new change and makes it very inconvenient for the customer. Today, they blocked the store entrance with shopping carts placed sideways with a traffic cone In front. I asked an employee where I could get a cart and was told to remove one from entrance and to move the cone. These carts were in sideways Inbetween the automatic doors and not easy to take apart and not only that, but aren't I the customer? The employee seemed to think I worked there and made no attempt to help me. I then asked if I could come in through the entrance and she told me " No, that's why I blocked the entrance." Very poor customer service and it's a shame because both my husband and I used to enjoy shopping here.

Though they are not as big as Costco or Sam's Club, they do have the items that hubby and I typically needs when we come by here. I was unimpressed by this one. As soon as you enter this store, you are met with a very unpleasant, almost rancid, smell. I couldn't quite place my finger on what the smell was, but it was definitely not something you want to smell when you enter a place that sells food. We checked out the produce and meat sections first. The fruits and vegetables seemed fresh. The meat section, however, was a bit concerning. All of the plastic bins where the large cuts of meat were stored were filled with meat juices. Although the refrigerated section was cold, I was still a little concerned about the sanitation. Unless you are truly buying in bulk for a restaurant or event setting, the prices are very comparable, if not more expensive, than other grocery stores like WinCo. The smaller bag of potatoes, for example, was significantly more expensive than the same size bag at Costco. The giant bag of potatoes though, was very cheap in comparison. They definitely have a great variety of items that your typical grocery won't carry though. A lot of the items are unique. The sheer amount of drink/cafe syrups was astounding. They have every single thing you may need for a restaurant from take-out containers to sauce and jelly packets. I am not familiar with the pricing of these items, but this seems like a convenient place to buy them.
