This location being in town with bus stops infront and near by make this a better choice to run errands. I can take the bus from the Tracy Transit Center if I'm at the downtown farmer's market, from West Valley Mall, from Walmart, and other locations in Tracy and reverse routes too. Today I had cashier EJ and bagger Elias. Both EJ and Elias were friendly and made me feel like a welcomed and appreciated customer. EJ, was quick and efficiant scanning, while making small talk. Elias also was quick and efficiant bagging my groceries in my BYO bags, even zipping closed the insulated bags while makibg small talk. Not many safeway baggers or cashiers will zip the bags closed. These 2 are good representatives for excellent customer service at Safeway.

I came in…read moretoday and not only is there a big line but I'm pretty good with checking the expiration dates on items and I happen to slip and not check the milk so I had to come back comes to find out all the milks are almost expired and some were already expired so I couldn't even get that brand for the price that I had to pay so I had to pay a difference on top of having to return from my home. It's $1.30 but it was such an inconvenience to them to waive it. Should I charge you the gas I wasted having to come back?

Very inspirational actually. It's on the corner of what appear to be agricultural fields. The family converted the place to a market and grill. The market has great promotions, bought an entire case of mangos, but the grill. Omg the grill was so cute. Nice decor, love the music and energy, and the furnishings were traditional but very bohemian luxury. Super hip and the dad grilled up good eats. Definitely recommend this place. My spouse took a bite before we realized they had been expired for almost ONE YEAR. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a refrigerated dairy product. Customers should be able to trust that food on the shelves is safe and properly checked. Thankfully we noticed, but only after my spouse had already eaten some of it. Walmart needs to do better about checking and removing expired products.

My mom's cat was very sick and was safely secured inside a crate while she quickly stopped in. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion, she was immediately told to leave. I understand that businesses may have a no-pets policy, and that's completely within their rights. However, there is a difference between enforcing a policy and how you treat people. A little kindness, empathy, or even a simple explanation would have gone a long way. The lack of sympathy shown during what was already a stressful situation was very unfortunate. Other stores, including larger chains, have handled similar situations much more respectfully. It wasn't the policy itself that was upsetting--it was the way it was enforced. Based on this experience, I will not be returning.

I cane across a pack of what looked like good marbled flank/ skirt / flap steak, you know that thin steak with he grain all running in one dir3ection. Usually I don't get this cut, but hey, it was on sale, and rib eye costs way more. We did a salt pepper garlic powder and paprika rub and my friend grilled it up perfect. Sliced against the grain, it was a very good steak for the price. I'll say no it wasn't as tender as a high end rib eye or any prime grade meat, but when you look at the price of $8.00 vs $25 a pound, it was worth it and my friend liked it too. Save Mart meat departments are better than most supermarket meat departments, you can actually get someone to help you!

As I was in mine 10th item a lady finally opened one of the registers and another associate walked out of one of the rooms and looked at me talking bout he doesn't know why I'm at self check out with all those items so I proceeded to tell him " there was no registers open and no associates on the floor so my only option was the self checkout " and he just responded with "oh yea I know". It was probably around 11:30am so idk why they didn't have registers open.

A lot of the staff automatically assume you speak Spanish, and it's actually pretty rare to find someone working who speaks English well enough to help. Sometimes it feels like it's inconvenient for the staff when you don't speak Spanish, which shouldn't be the case at all. I also found expired cat food while shopping and placed it to the side thinking someone would remove it, but when I came back two weeks later it was STILL sitting there expired. That was really concerning. Another frustrating change is the checkout process. It used to be convenient being able to buy beans, rice, and groceries all together, but now everything has to be done in separate transactions and separate lines, which just makes shopping take longer for no reason. I still go occasionally when I absolutely have to, but honestly if I find somewhere closer and more welcoming, I'd rather shop there instead.
