I am extremely upset about this situation. It's the little things that make a difference. I came in today and not only is there a big line but I'm pretty good with checking the expiration dates on items and I happen to slip and not check the milk so I had to come back comes to find out all the milks are almost expired and some were already expired so I couldn't even get that brand for the price that I had to pay so I had to pay a difference on top of having to return from my home. It's $1.30 but it was such an inconvenience to them to waive it. Should I charge you the gas I wasted having to come back? read more

I had to stop at this market while driving through this town. I know it's a sister store to Nob Hill which is one of my favorite markets to shop at. This store seemed a little bigger than the store in my area. It had the same service and the same high standard of quality that Nob Hill does. I ended up with more food items than I went in for (who doesn't when shopping in a great market). The quality in their produce department was just as high as other Ealeys/Nob Hill Markets as was their stellar meat department. Thankful I made the stop here! Great market. Great service read more

Overpriced.. everything here is overpriced and there are never enough cashiers.. long lines and they take their sweet time.

Doesn't help shoppers on a Sunday when only one lane is open for checkout with the line being 10 deep with half full carts!! Two customers left because of the line and their frustrations. I was in the self checkout with nine people in line with four registers open. Took 15 minutes to checkout because a customer was having trouble at their register and the help was checking customers with a couple items to cut in line!!!?? Really!! Frustrating read more

Used to be great, but service has greatly dropped the past year. Long lines due to only 1-2 staff at the cash registers out of 8-10 available, even during the busiest time of the day 5-7pm. I live only 5 minutes away, but would now drive another 10 mins to Safeway. If they see a long line, open more lanes! read more

I went around 11 AM today to complete a transaction to initiate cashback and the check stand that was open primarily was completely backed up with a lot of full carts. I only had about 15 minutes before I had to get to a haircut appointment in the same parking lot so I attempted to solicit the help of the employee overseeing the self checkout manning the register. His name is Richard. I've been coming here for years and this is always a possibility yet he would not complete the transaction and told me I had to get in line. I was not able to complete my transaction at the store and will not be coming back. I'll be taking all my business to save Mart. other than that, most of the people are quite nice here and the shelves are stocked. read more

It's so sad. The store is well sorted and bathrooms were pretty clean but the cashiers attitude was sooooo poor. Barely a "hi" from the young cashier and when my items were being bagged, the young lady halfway into bagging my first bag of groceries said " I'm going to go get carts" and left my items half way bagged, so I started bagging my own things and then an older lady came to bag and just started bagging without asking how I wanted things bagged. The young cashier finished his duties without a smile and looked like he was there for community service without pay. So sad. He has no idea what awaits him and the young lady in their adult life. Raley's has always been my go to store. I love shopping in there. I like the atmosphere I like the clerks that work in there. I always have a good experience having said that I am wondering why they don't order products, whoever does their ordering. I don't know if it's done by department or how it's done is not complete. I like the Raley's brand of Wheaties. It's only three dollars. It's a lot cheaper than the eight dollars regular wheaties box. they have not had any on the shelf in over 2 1/2 months. Also, a lot of the ice creams aren't stocked in there. I I just don't understand why it's not stocked.. I don't really like shopping at Save Mart but I've been going in there for a few things that Raleys is always out of. I have asked when I've been in Raley's and of course you get the double talk. No one has an answer. I'm just curious why don't you stock your shelves? And just for the record I don't mind waiting in line when there's only one checker that's no big deal. Their products are expired frequently, long lines at the tills, not a decent variety on yogurts, and now the cantalope is slopped into containers. Who doesn't know you have to clean the guts and seeds out of the cantalope and other melon before cutting it up. What a mess to eat, yuck. A little pricey but sales are great Mondays are $5 days and they an amazing Produce, Bakery/ Deli Chinese Food Coffee and employees are generally very friendly ( lines get long in prime hours but avoid rushes by planning. This is the first time that shopping at Raley's reminded me of Safeway. I went in for a $5 Monday Special and at 11:00 am the item was out-of-stock on the shelf. A clerk told me that there was backstock, but she was too busy to check it. A manager told me I couldn't get a raincheck, but said she'd look for the item if I wanted to wait. After checking two walk-in fridges, she told me they had none of the item I wanted, so I left with no item and no raincheck. read more

I went to raley's this morning and was having a pleasant experience before getting to the meat department. I asked the butcher who was there (a younger gentleman) if he could cut some meat thinner than what was out on the shelves and he very nicely said yes and went to the back to start slicing. As I was standing there an older guy who looked like he was just starting his shift asked me what I was doing there and I told him I was waiting for the meat I had asked the butcher to slice. He then continued to ask what meat and what I was making (none of his business) and I answered him nicely. Then he told me, "there is carne asada on the shelf" insinuating I shouldn't have asked the butcher to do anything or even possibly making some ugly insensitive reference to my race. He then very condescendingly said "go look on the shelf". I told him I already did but I needed it thinner and in a larger amount (again none of his business since he was not helping me) It was borderline harassment if you ask me. I really didn't owe him any responses or my time but he approached me and I am not the type to be rude, but left after the nice butcher handed me my meat. That old guy is rude, a liability to your grocery store and frankly a reason not to shop there anymore. I would suggest you look into his treatment of your customers (and possibly other employees) as I'm sure you'll find a pattern of behavior. As for the nice younger gentleman, I rate him a 5. In fact in the past, I've been encouraged to buy meat and even been told to specifically ask them to slice it for me. This was the first time I actually asked, and the older guy acted like an jerk. Unfortunately I didn't catch his name because I just wanted to get away from there because of his treatment. read more

This Raley's sells the best donuts in this area. If you love donuts, you have to give them a try. Their new one is a maple cruller, and they don't skimp on the frosting. Delicious! Far better than Dunkin' or the donut shop on 11th Ave. Highly recommend visiting this Raley's even if it's just for the donuts! read more

Very clean and organized Raley's location; unfortunately, some of the cashiers lack professionalism. I was attended by cashier #708091 at store #317 ,The lady ringing up my items showed annoyance after I canceled my transaction because I realized I needed cash back. Lady sighed and even did a finger tap of annoyance. I apologized after starting the transaction again, which she just brushed off and handed me my receipt in a rush. I even said, "Have a nice day," to which I got no reply. She greeted the next customer behind me a lot better. On the bright side, the bagger that was in the same station as her was very kind and showed manners, something the cashier should learn. read more

They're just a few of the reasons I come to Raley's because it's the only place in town that has them. I like Raley's a lot! Very close and convenient for me when I need to grab something quick to eat or cook. I love their bakery selection esp their fruit tart!! I get my dog's treats and snacks in the pet fridge area and also get my supplements here when they're on sale because theyre a great sale! Produce is always stocked and fresh! Store is pretty clean too. All the workers there are friendly and helpful. Love getting my Pete's coffee inside before shopping. read more

I am still very disappointed that I received a cake ( special order) for my grandson's birthday party that literally fell apart. The box was sealed and when we opened it to serve the outer part fell off. He is autistic so o couldn't take it back and it was my fault for not taking pictures but it just still makes me mad. Speaking to the manager to be told sorry but you needed to bring it back right then and not eat it. I'm believe she will tell someone but I want everyone to check your cakes before leaving the store. Bad place to shop and customer service. They accept it when they want a work permit to buy a drink, I've already bought it other times, but there's always that employee who wants to get involved with the purchase. Then my husband, even with his card and the drive, couldn't buy it. He had to go to the shelf to get another one. Bad service and service customer. Not recommended. They need to be more prepared to serve the customer and not make the customer experience embarrassment. read more

After I brought to the manager attention that the porcini mushrooms ( in a bag, sold under the brand : Harvest fungi, are a frode, with inexpensive tastless mushrooms mixed with "some" real porcini mushrooms, here if the proof. This store is the nicest store I've ever been in but this review is for Toni in the bakery! I needed a specialized cake and she made it beyond expectations. It was delicious and beautiful and exceeded what I could even imagine. We had a wolf theme for a 30th birthday and she did a wolf cake with a photo I provided. She added decorations and blended the photo with rocks to disguise the border. We so loved this cake and the birthday boy was speechless, we felt bad cutting it. I haven't been to Raley's since high school - in part because I moved out of Tracy for college and work, but also because there are closer options to my parents' house such as Safeway, Winco, or Costco. I always had the idea that Raley's was a tier below Safeway akin to a Save Mart, but I visited there tonight to buy malt ingredients and it's actually a lot nicer than Safeway! There's a security guard at the door who greeted us upon entry, so the location felt very safe at nighttime despite not many people being around. The store is expansive! with aisles and aisles of food, beauty and wellness items, flowers, handmade soaps, and more. It was fully stocked with many employees around available to answer any questions. They have employee- and self-checkout available. If it wasn't so far from my parents' house and if I didn't already have a Safeway Rewards number I'd come more frequently! read more

I use to brag to people why I shop here and why I pay more. Particularly because when ever there were a small line, they were quick to open a second lane. Some of us have families that wait all day to see us to have dinner. The last thing I need is to wait in a line with 4 people with tons of groceries with one check stand open. You're more expensive than every other grocery store in Tracy. So treat those customers who pay top dollar for shopping here with respect and quickness. Penny is a manager at this store, and she's singlehandedly killed Raleys for me in any way. Standing in line with my children, Penny greeted us with a scowl. When I told her I didn't want any bags, she simply scoffed at me. Her attitude was so poor, I found myself apologizing for no reason and asking if she was having a good day. Needless to say that me extending that courtesy was not returned. This level of impertinent behavior is not acceptable at any level, even for a Raley's employee. I've had problems with this store before but the conduct of this manager is simply so wrong I won't return to this store. I can deal with old produce or bad fruit, expired items because those are accidents that *can* happen. However when the manager treats customers with a rude attitude, that's where I draw the line. It's become a weekly routine. I depart around 8:00 am from the Tracy Airport. I fly around for about an hour. Once I'm back on the ground, I go and BS with the guys at Skyview Aviation for a few minutes then jump in the truck and head straight down Tracy Blvd. to the Raley's Deli to get one of their "Samiches" for lunch. Never fails. I always get fast service. A friendly smile. A great conversation and one hell of a good sandwich. I told this same story the other day to the young lady behind the counter and she asked if Raley's made the best sandwiches in town. Not the best young lady, but you guys are definitely on my top three list. Raley's - a bit more pricier than Safeway or Savemart, but sometimes more $$$ does equal better (everything). read more

We used Raley's in Tracy California for catering after a funeral service. It was easy to order online and ready when they said. Their food was presented in an excellent way. Their sandwiches had a great variety and the bread was soft. Their pesto pasta salad was also excellent. I don't usually go here for grocery shopping (expensive) unless I'm lazy and I don't want to go across town. But I do go to Raley's for the Sandwiches! Especially the Turkey Sandwich on Dutch Crust with Pepperjack or Provolone cheese with everything on it - it is huge and worth it! Donuts are delicious in the morning when baked fresh. Peet's coffee is located on the right side of the store. On a side note, the grocery store and the bathrooms (located in the back) is kept clean. There is a self check out area which I always use because I do not like waiting in line and usually like doing it myself. You can exchange your lottery tickets and scratchers at the customer service counter and pick up scratchers in the vending machine! Good luck! read more
