I'm Japanese, not Pilipino. I haven't tried much Pilipino food but the owners of the house where I live have a Pinoy background and I'm always looking for new places for them. Seeing a Pilipino bakery in the very lively mall was a surprise. I thought at first they just brought everything from another location, but they brought out quite a few racks of the Ube Pandesal while I was talking to them. My nose doesn't really work well, but I could smell it somewhat. Anyone in the food court probably could smell it. I bought a whole package for the owners of the house and I tried one. I curiously approached to look at the menu and their ice cream offerings in the glass. No other customers at the time, just us. There seemed to be one lady working at the time but I didn't get a welcoming feeling as there was no greeting or acknowledgment from her. She saw us but didn't talk to us until I asked a question about the menu. I debated whether we should just walk away since it felt like our business wasn't needed. Alas, we settled on the mango graham b/c the picture looked good. Never had it before. But it looked nothing like the picture that was advertised on their menu, so that was disappointing. It was a boba base, blended mango ice cream w/milk, a thin layer of crushed graham cracker, and sprinkled mango bits on top. $9.75 + tax. A bit on the pricey side for the portion size. It was good to try once, but I don't think I would get it again :) The lady seemed to warm up to us a bit more towards the end and told me to mix it up first before taking a sip, otherwise I'd suck up the Graham cracker and choke. Lol. All of their ice cream flavors were in white buckets w/the lids on them, so you couldn't see what the flavors looked like :( very disappointing. You have to go off the printed label name on the glass case. For some reason, this area of the mall was very warm, perhaps from the skylight above them, so we walked around the mall. Delicious pies - must try the one and Buko pie. It was freshly made right before I bought it and everyone at the party loved it. They also had ensaymadas - we had to try the cookies and cream one since it was a unique flavor. Lastly we had the padesal which was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly. I tried the ube buko pie and the egg pie from here and both pies are quite decent. The ube buko pie was my favorite one because the coconut chunks in it were very meaty! Also succulent and not overly sweet at all. The ube jam layer and the pie crust were rather bland though. Still, I would not hesitate having another slice just for the coconut part lol. Got the beef empanada which was traditional Filipino style with bits of carrot, potato and raisins. On the sweet side and small. Came here for the "fresh Spanish bread." It's pretty cheap at 65 cents a bread. But when the older gentleman was pausing the bread, he put it in the microwave for 15 seconds and then gave it to me. This is my second time here and it was amazing. I love their halo halo. I'm not a halo halo fan sometimes it just full ice barely any toppings but this place it's made out of ice cream. the senorita bread is great! it's just lightly (perfectly) sweet - not as sweet as ellis bakery or starbread. i prefer the flavor and size of mamang sorbetero's senorita bread, but ellis has a softer and fluffier texture. the man running the place is sweeter than his bread. he is rightfully very proud of his product. i wish them the best, but i don't know if this place is going to survive. it's in a bad (cursed) location. there's not enough traffic in the tracy mall. read more

Disappointed that the halo halo was not the traditional halo halo that we've come to know and love but more of a halo halo type smoothie without all the yummy ingredients. For Christmas I Ordered 5 Buko pies (2-ube and 3 regular). I was very impressed on the quality and taste of the pies. Crust was flaky and the young coconut filling was soft and not too sweet.
