do they think this is a joke??? we went tonight for some ice cream as a treat for the family and my brother ordered a love it chocolate and coffee, asked for no mix ins, we have gone here for years and asked for the same order without issue. we get home and he tales a bite and immediately spits it out and realizes there's peanut butter in there. he has a serious nut allergy. like, epi pen and a trip to the hospital type of allergy. he ordered a CHOCOLATE and COFFEE. Just a note to costumers, was talking to the employee who works there and told us he has a TWIN BROTHER that also works there. But in hindsight, I got a "Cookie Doughn't you want some" (with gram cracker crust). It was the perfect compliment for my sweet tooth. My mom on the other hand got, "Silk Almond" (add almonds). Was a perfect choice to satisfy her lactose condition. This is the BEST coldstone i have ever been to. the manager Dylan put the perfect amount of sprinkles and he is really good at decorating the ice cream cake i ordered for my dog's quincenera. Also, I love the apple pie signature creation and that they could change out the ice cream flavor. Quick service. Good ice cream, sweet employees most of the time. Thursday 8ish walk in and it's busy... there's atleast 3-4 ppl in front of us and 2 guy guys working. They served everyone in front of us and the rude DoorDash driver in the blink of an eye. My kids ice cream as well worth the price and we both found it delicious! Nice to see 2 hard working young men wish I could have thrown more in the tip jar but we'll be back for sure. As every review has stated, the CUSTOMER SERVICE is terrible. The girl who has been mentioned in almost all of these reviews has a hateful vibe right off the bat. We ordered our simple icecream orders with her and she slammed my boyfriends cup on the glass to give to him. We made eye-contact and stared each other down. She knew what she was doing. She continues to ring us up and we do our card transaction. She then leaves mid transaction and doesn't hand us a receipt or says bye, at least. This interaction was one where you had to be there to understand the vibe she gave off but damn was she a B**CH. I went to cold stone earlier today with my 9 yr old brother to celebrate his first ollie on a skateboard. He was so excited to get a scoop of birthday cake remix and everything was going great until the guy serving us left the cone on the counter. I asked him politely to replace the cone because the counter was so dirty. He reassured me he had cleaned it earlier in the day but there was drops of melted ice cream and all types of filth. So I just looked at him awkwardly and asked for a different cone again and he said no. I walked into Cold Stone this evening.. approximately 8:30p & I wanted to order a smoothie but Kamara (I believe that was her name, I saw it on the cashier) said the machine wasn't working. So there goes that... Just to be clear I'm not giving this location two stars because of that but it was the first impression I got before I noticed her body language. She didn't seem happy, glad or interested in taking my order. I asked for a coffee milkshake & a one scoop flavored ice cream. Her whole demeanor... I tried being nice to her even in return but even then she kept the same attitude towards the whole transaction. Not one single smile or smirk. Spent a ton of money plus a tip for a custom cake ordered online for my daughter 13th birthday. When I went to get the cake, they said they didn't have the cake and the order never came through (although I had my confirmation). We ended up getting a cake from their freezer and they quickly wrote, "Happy Birthday." DEAR GOD THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC. I've eaten at cold stone before in other cities and I didn't care much for them. I had a $15 gift card for literally 3 years and just let it sit in my wallet, ignored completely. However, in attempts to eliminate gift cards I've had just wasting away, I decided to use my gift card at our local cold stone. Boy, this was the best decision we could have made. Right away, I saw an entire chocolate (almost) everything section behind glass. Caramel and chocolate covered apples. Chocolate covered pretzels, almonds, etc. I was literally a kid in a candy store. I almost forgot about ordering ice cream until we were greeted by a very friendly employee. I asked if I could sample the coffee ice cream and that was all I needed to order a "Like It" coffee ice cream with brownie pieces and M&M's. I was in heaven. The portion size was huge even for the smallest option. On top of that, it was probably the best ice cream combination and ratio of toppings I've ever had. I decided for my next visit I'm going to get one of those carton options to keep in the freezer and get that exact combination again. Maybe even a caramel apple for poops and chuckles. read more

I was told by an employee that there are only 6 people to be in the store at a time and there were already 8 people in the store and another gentleman behind me and they said absolutely nothing to him. There is no social distancing whatsoever. The store is small and not enough room for 6 people to safely be at a 6 foot distance. You have to constantly tell the employees to clean the table off. If I didn't order nuts and fudge, why is this in my ice cream? Doesn't cold stone have a policy on this? Why do the employees in Tracy act like they do not have to do this? I have patronized this location for many years, ordered birthday cakes and enjoyed ice cream. Customer service is decent but the staff could definitely use some customer service training. Most recently I ordered a Birthday Cake and sadly the writing on the cake was as if someone was learning how to write. When paying $$, they should make sure all the staff gets experience practicing how to write clearly or at least use a stencil cake assistant. read more

I placed an ice cream cake order through the Cold Stone's website for delivery and realized the delivery time chosen was incorrect. Unfortunately, the system doesn't allow you to adjust. I called the store itself to see if they can correct it on the backend but unfortunately they weren't able to. I didn't catch the name of the lady I was speaking to but she was of great helped. She offered to deliver my dads birthday cake herself after her shift. Something she didn't have to do but because I am out of the area, this helped tremendously. I am super thankful for her kindness and willing to go above and beyond for my stupid mistake of choosing the wrong delivery time. read more

Cold Stone in not my favorite, partially because I really just like plain ice cream most of the time. For me it's about the flavors. Mix ins? Meh. I also am not a fan of the staff on most days. They usually seem to be barely tolerating the masses, if they even notice them. So, when I got dragged there this time, my expectations were low. So I was surprised to leave the shop delighted. For one, service was fast and fairly friendly. Then, there was the ice cream. Right now they have a whipped Meyer lemon that is really fabulous. Bright clean, flavor. It tastes great with both the milk chocolate and the strawberry. I had it in combination with one and my fried the other. Yum! Based on my experience today, they were a solid three. Since they usually hover between 1 and two for me, that is saying something. read more

So this location is a franchise which means they don't have to follow the rules as the other Cold Stones. 7/21 is National Ice Cream Day and cold stone corporate sent out an email saying it was buy one get one free. Knowing full well that promotion was out there, they put a sign saying they DO NOT celebrate National Ice Cream Day until AFTER you place your order. Shady business practices from the owner does not play well with your local community. Every franchise is entitled to follow their own rules yes, but at least let your customers know as they walk in that you are not honoring any national campaigns. read more

I ordered a custom cake (MADE BY THE SUPERVISOR) and i went to pick it up and it looked like a homemade cake. It was a SKINNY $75 cake that i purchased and what's most DISGUSTING, we found a hair on the cake! I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the cake. This is also a COVID 19 issue and i have the right to have my money back! Regardless, they weren't going to give me a refund right away. Instead, they wanted me to call them back when the manager was around and what's worst is that they didn't know the manager's schedule! Simply put, there is no manager around to solve any problems you may have regarding custom cakes or anything that any other stores would do is find a solution and make a customer happy. They are not going to give you a refund. NO MANAGER in site. There are misbehaved kids running the store. One of the staff and her name is DESERAY was rude. She was DISRESPECTFUL to a 50 year old adult. They are UNPROFESSIONAL and they do not look HAPPY working there. How do you expect to solve a customer's problem if there is no LEADER in the store to solve at least a simple problem like refunds or exchanges or take a percentage off a cake because a customer spent so much money on a cake and wasnt happy with the result of how the cake turned out. I expected that the cake would look great for a child's bday.. Extremely disappointing!!! I highly don't recommend people purchasing custom cakes there unless its behind the glass... boohoo to them! Hard to understand how this business operates the way it does. The employees never seem to want to hell and there's always one hiding in the back. Every time I come to pick up an order, I have to wait 10-15 minutes before someone comes to the Online Order/Pickup Counter. Tonight, the tall girl with black hair made eye contact with me 3 times before finally coming over to help. I'm always friendly with the staff but this time I've had it.
