the candy section of the store

My mom & I came here twice on our trip to Charleston. We had never had a praline, and they give out free samples. My mom loved it, it was too sweet for me. But there are tons of other candies & ice creams to choose from here. The only bummer was that on a Thursday, my mom bought one praline and it was 2 dollars and some change. We came back on Friday so she could get one more, and the price for one had shot up to $5!

Let me say this upfront. I adored their pralines. They were incredible!!! But overall a 3.5 fits them best and I'm not feeling a 4. The corner store is located close to the waterfront and not far from the city market. The building is attractive and in period. As soon as my family walked in warm pralines were offered and I do love a great praline. The store was busy! They offered much more than pralines, all sorts of candy and also a walk up ice cream counter. So much it was tight to maneuver. When standing in line to checkout with a single praline the register went down. Se we were asked to step over, so luckily there was two. No apology. The delay was minimal. The cost of a single praline was just under $5.50 with tax. Holy!!! Don't misunderstand it was spectacular and quality, but ouch! I probably could not resist returning for a praline on my next visit to Charleston. However maybe there is another business that holds the line on pricing and offers friendly customer service.

$16 for this bag of candy and a lollipop. Employees have also placed "out of order" signs on the restroom so they don't have to deal with it. Saw an employee go in there to relieve themselves.

I have t been here in forever but we were walking around after dinner and stopped at the night market for a bit. Then we decided to get some candy for dessert. This place will satisfy any sweet tooth. They have ice cream and gelato plus walls of candy. We got some gummies, a candy apple, fudge, and the caramel cluster things with the pecans and chocolate. Surprisingly the dark chocolate one was way better compared to the less chocolatey flavor of the milk. They have a great selection but since it's in a touristy area it will definitely cost you. I think we ended up spending $50 and we didn't get a large quantity of anything. Maybe they should do a deal for locals.

I've tried Savannahs Candy many times before, this location in Charleston was pretty much the same. Yes, they have more in Savannah due to the store being bigger. Great service when I visit, the staff are well trained on how to be courtesy to customers. No samples given out when I was at this location, maybe it was to late in the evening. I always purchase a few sweet treats that I don't need, Lol! Pricing is kinda on the high side, but the quality is the best. If you haven't been to Savannahs its a must for your to do list while your in town!

A sign to try the praline is what drew me into the shop. They were in process of making a batch. Oh looked and smelled decedent. Sample melted in my mouth. I had to purchase some.

As you can tell, my family and I love sweets so we made a pit stop here after we left Le Macaron. There's something about that sweet smell when you walk into a shop like this that just makes me a happy guy. Chocolate covered everything, gelato and candies are just some of the things you will find here. My kids used their own money and bought gummy type candies, some chocolates and I decided on some gelato which was smooth and creamy like gelato should be. Another great little stop to satisfy that sweet craving.

Awesome place, people love the ice cream here. They make a banging banana pudding ice cream. They sell all types of chocolates too and prepackaged candies!! Staff was nice and friendly and the ppl around here are nice too!!

This place has candy. Lots of it. I'm a sour candy type of dude, and Savannah's Candy Kitchen did not disappoint. You order like its the buffet and pay by weight. The place smelled heavenly and we ended up visiting this place on two separate occasions. Everything seemed really clean and well kept. There were a few bins were the candy was hard as a rock (no, they weren't rock candy) but I can @ them too much because I suppose its hard to keep track of inventory, especially considering the sheer amounts of candy they had. They had a section of pralines and another section where they were freshly making chocolate and other homemade candy concoctions. And absolute delightful place to check out! If you're having a sweet tooth, definitely check out this place. You won't be disappointed.

I thought this place was MAGICAL. It was like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. So many chocolate creations like chocolate covered Rice Krispie treats and many different kinds of fudge. And an entire wall of gummy treats! I didn't see any sour balls though (bummer). I did see a new kind of gummy treat, the Filled Gummy Turtle. Rock Candy and ice cream too! LOVED IT!! If you can stop in, please do! You won't regret it (or maybe you will because it is just so magical).

Great assortment of candy, even old school candy. A must visit when in town. I go for the praline's.

Certainly overpriced, and definitely a tourist trap. The pralines are great, but you'll pay $30 for a little bag of candy.

Sweeteeth Chocolate makess high-quality chocolates and bon bons with unique flavor pairings. All of their products are made by hand and do not contain any preservatives. Sweeteeth was started by John Eric Battles, an Alabama native who previously worked at EVO Pizzeria here in Charleston. While working at EVO, "Johnny" created these treats that quickly spread through Charleston and can now be found all around the country. Their best bar is the Sea is for Caramel: 62% dark chocolate, smooth caramel, and sprinkled with sea salt. It's incredible to say the least. Don't even look at the price tag -- it's worth every hard-earned penny. I also really like the Cinnapsis: milk chocolate with chewy cinnamon apple bits and crunchy, candied pecans. Each bite of this bar is different, depending on how much apple or candied nut is in your bite. The PB&C bar (peanut butter with smoky chipotle pepper) is different. The peanut butter tastes very natural but the smokiness throws you off. Get your paws on a Sea is for Caramel bar. Immediately.

It was love at first taste, thanks to the Indie Craft Experience in Atlanta. I left that day with a salted caramel dark chocolate bar in hand, but knew that I needed more. Santa to the rescue! He brought me the chocolate sampler pack, a bunch of salted caramel dark chocolate bars, and salted caramel sauces. I mean, I have been OD'ing on chocolate and caramel for months now. But I've been good this year, and I've been sharing my chocolate with co-workers. Everyone loves this stuff-- it's like crack drips out of the salted caramel bar or something. I don't know what it is, but it's magical. Do yourself or someone else a favor and order some Sweeteeth. Or at least go to their website and admire the pictures of their chocolate bars.
