    Splurge!!!!! Sweet treats!!
    Kristian J.

Calling all sweet treat lovers at ATL. Highly recommend. Grab and go. Made in house. Buy the pound. Ask for a sample. If not busy they will give you a sampling. Original Pecan Pralines -- authentic Southern ingredients, including Georgia pecans, sweet butter, and fresh cream. Deep South delicacy -- praline cookie is a chocolate biscuit containing ground nuts. Praline is usually used as a filling in chocolates or other sweets. Get in to my belly. Reminds me of New Orleans deeelish dessert. Originally from Savannah, GA. 40 year storefront Pro Tip: Place Pralines in the microwave for 7 seconds, and they will taste like they were just made. Calling all type 2 diabetics jk Pralines: Georgia pecan halves. Fresh cream. Sugar. Real butter. Rich chocolate. Gophers: decadent combination of creamy caramel, crunchy pecans, and rich dark chocolate In moderation or gift. If hummingbird cake is available. Grab it and thank me later!!!!

Came for the candy apple I've heard so much about didn't know they had chocolates and ice cream. Got my family and friends candy apples and me 1. Will report on the taste update on the candy apple taste a bit old as far as the apple.

Nice candy shop inside the Atlanta airport. I tried a caramel pecan apple, which was good, but the inside could have been fresher. I still enjoyed it, but it didn't taste crunchy or fresh. The marshmallow was delicious! Overall, the customer service was excellent, but it does get busy.

For forty years, and 3 generations, the Strickland family has been hand making an array of Southern confections using their family's recipes. Owner of Savannah's Candy Kitchen, Stan "the Candy Man" Strickland, learned his mother's passion and old-fashioned methods as a child. Watching her carefully select the freshest ingredients and the way she would use the cup of her hand to measure them. This particular store in concourse A at the Atlanta airport is very nicely organized and presented...the sweets are mostly individually wrapped for easy grab-and-go. The prices are high ! The single Oreo cups will take you back $7 and the candied apples are $12. In 1990, with the original Strickland family recipes, Stan the Candy Man opened the first store named Savannah's Candy Kitchen. On the east end of River Street, in Historic Savannah, Georgia you'll find a copper kettle hanging above a red awning. Inside there is a sense of heritage and love that goes into every hand-made candy. Although not the first of the Strickland Family's candy stores-in Savannah (that one was named River Street Sweets); Savannah's Candy Kitchen, has become the largest candy store in the south.

A stop by in the Atlanta airport for a few goodies for the boys to have on our flight. The selection looked to be good but upon closer inspection the bulk bins were fairly empty. Then the person behind the counter was not a kind person at all. It was as if she had been tortured and placed behind there to help people as punishment. When I ordered my chocolate I could feel the disdain coming off her in waves! I hope her day got better eventually. Oh well... it was candy and in the end my boys were happy and they ended up with some stuff for the flight. Prices were a bit ridiculous but it was an airport shop.

The cakes that I was in love with are no longer there. But I tried the gelato this time and it was good! I got the sea salted caramel flavour. It way exceeded my expectations for airport ice cream - it's actual quality gelato, not cheap stuff. It's silly expensive for the size, though, ~$6.5 for a small cup, which is definitely a result of the airport location. I thought it was a worthwhile expense for a treat in the airport, but definitely not a price I'd want to pay for this gelato in everyday life.

The pralines are really good! About $5 for one. I also got the peanut brittle but haven't tried it yet, I'm sure it's also delicious. Located in terminal B across from the Delta Sky Lounge.

I love the Savannah Candy kitchen in most places. While this is a small shop in the Atlanta airport, I know what they normally carry. They did have some of their usuals like the pralines, gophers and some candy apples. They had way too many chocolate covered pretzels. No candy apples. No savory popcorn.

What makes people happy while dealing with the trials and tribulations of air travel? CANDY! So when I was passing an hour at this insanely large airport and came across Savanah's Candy Kitchen, I knew I needed to get a little bit of Atlanta candy to get me through my next flight. This little shop was pretty busy but once I got to the window I knew exactly what I needed to get. I ordered some rocky road covered marshmallows along with a chocolate covered pretzel and a white chocolate covered pretzel (I just had to try them both), and of course, the rice crispy treat with Oreos in it. Let me say, this place has some pretty solid candy if I do say so myself. Everything I ordered tasted good, and left me wishing I ordered some more. Overall, if you want candy and you find yourself in the Atlanta airport, you should probably hit up Savanah's Candy Kitchen, you don't regret it!

The original pralines are to die for. So good!!! They are made with brown sugar, white sugar, some sort of cream, and pecans. Maybe a few more ingredients, but omg, they are delicious. They sell all sorts of southern style sweets made with pecans and nuts. They also sell lots of penny candies that now cost more than a penny, but you know what I mean. Just be prepared to pay though, they cost about $6 per praline as they are weighed by the pound. I bought three and paid over $18. So I made that my dinner. LOL :) You can sometimes see them actually making the candy as you are running to your gate, as I was early one morning. I wanted to stop, but I could hear the gates closing... Where else in this entire airport can you get candy made on premises? So you pay a bit more, but it's worth it and you will definitely get your sweet tooth satisfied here at Savanah's Candy Kitchen.

Staff are too busy talking to give you proper attention. Mediocre selection of candy. I bought peanut brittle, 8oz for $10.

I've been a fan of the licorice strings since I was a kid--my mom loves them, and now my son does too. We went to the Atlantic Station location over the weekend--either Saturday or Sunday--and while the store itself is cute and colorful, the service left a lot to be desired. And honestly, it's not the first time I've had that experience there. Sometimes you walk in and get great service, and other times it's just rude. And that matters, especially in a space that's made for kids and families. Good service should come standard in a customer-facing role. This time, I went in with my mom and my 5-year-old son. He's pretty independent and knows how to go in and get his candy. When we got inside, he opened one of the candy containers to grab a bag and get his licorice strings. Nothing crazy. Out of nowhere, one of the employees--a dark-skinned young lady with braids in pigtails--shouted across the store, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no!" It was loud, unnecessary, and completely uncalled for. My son froze, confused. I froze. My mom froze. We didn't know what was going on. She rushed over, didn't ask a single question, didn't clarify anything--just grabbed the entire candy container and walked it behind the register. My son turned to me and said, "Mommy, what happened?" And I honestly didn't have an answer for him. He hadn't touched anything yet--he was just in front of the bin, doing what he always does. And even if she thought he had touched the candy, there was a much better way to handle it. You don't shout across a store at someone's child--especially when the parent is right there. A simple, "Hey, could you help him with that?" would've been just fine. It took everything in me to stay calm, because I was really upset. I didn't even want to buy anything after that. But we went ahead and got his licorice, and my mom picked up a few things. At the register, that same employee clearly picked up on my energy because her entire demeanor changed. But by then, the damage was done. It's disappointing because I actually like this store. The candy selection is fun--it's not full of specialty candies, but it's bright and cute and great for kids. Still, the service is what makes or breaks it, and in this case, it really broke it. This isn't the first time I've experienced this at this location, and honestly, I don't know if I'll be going back. If you do stop in, go for the candy. But don't expect much from the service.

Every so often, you need to go and check out an old-school store. That can include a soda fountain,…read moresome sort of clothing store with fashion of yesteryear, or in this case a candy store. Located inside Ponce city market, this place will satisfy your sweet tooth as well as your desire to see the sorts of things that your grandparents checked out as a cure for their sweet tooth. The footprint of this place is pretty limited, but I've got to goor amount of stuff here. There's an impressive selection of different types of gummy's. Seeing as we were in Atlanta, it felt like the kids probably needed some of the cola gummy's. Had they been there, I'm sure they would've been jockeying for just about anything. There's a good specialty chocolate selection, though the options that included dark chocolate were unfortunately sparse. However, if you're a milk chocolate fan, they've got a lot of different options for you. There were lots of larger than normal options of things like sugar daddies, candy bars, as well as a bunch of $.25-$.75 candies. The yard of Snickers was probably the item that was the most intriguing while also being the least likely thing for me to buy on that particular day. The gumball selection was also very impressive, with the oversized gumballs ultimately being the choice for the kids. These gumballs were slightly larger than a golf ball that were filled with nerds. I think they were something like two dollars apiece, but it definitely brought more than two dollars worth of joy! These things were massive and came in about 6 or 7 colors, which made it easy to decide to get three of the same color so as to prevent a meltdown over how everyone else got the color they wanted! All in all, a nice trip down memory lane and a good spot to grab a treat for the kids!
