Shockingly Poor Customer Service I brought my parents who were visiting from out of town in for a dessert treat after dinner across the street at Yard House, expecting a sweet ending to our evening. Unfortunately, the staff's attitude completely ruined the experience. Despite having four staff members on duty, customer service was essentially non-existent. We waited at the chocolate counter to be served, but every single employee completely ignored us, prioritizing the ice cream counter instead. What makes this even more frustrating is that they have explicit signage directing customers to a separate line for ice cream--yet no one was willing to help us on the chocolate side. When I finally flagged down a young lady to politely ask for assistance, she responded with a terrible attitude and made it abundantly clear she didn't want to help us. Rather than deal with such blatant disrespect, I politely excused my family and we walked out. It's a real shame when an establishment's customer service is this subpar. The employee seemed confused about how to make the ice cream, reading the list of ingredients and taking his time to make it. I can only assume that he was a new employee. The ice cream tasted fine. There are several printed menus. Not sure the rationale behind this. However, take your reading glasses out. After, selecting tell the staffer and they start to make your order. The young man that took the orders didn't explain wait time or anything. We didn't even know he was the person taking all the orders for our group. It was chaotic. Then another lady came over and assisted. That's when things started making sense. Please note a flavored mocha comes hot or cold. Let them know - yeah there's no distinction. Then checkout, then stand back and wait in the crowd for someone to pass you your order. Too much confusion for me. Not my kind of flow. Especially not for a satisfying treat as ice cream. For the love of Kilwins. I remember before I would walk around smelling the fudge and the sweets being made. This time around I didn't smell it. Candy apples were on display along with other chocolates and sweet treat. There wasn't anything seasonal or drawing you in. It was a Sunday afternoon and there was many people inside getting ice cream. There's no sign of scoops or menu it's on a sheet of paper on the glass in small print. There was one employee who walked out from the bathroom area which looked like she was scratching her private area underneath her apron or adjusting her frontal area didn't wash her hand. Only the men's bathroom was operating that day. A sweet lady took my order but my ice cream was already melting on retrieval so it was a mess. I was sad about it. i've been here quite a few times. It's bigger than the buckhead location which recently opened. You do have to kind of park in the Atlantic station area and walk here so you may have to pay for parking. They've got a variety of ice cream, candy, caramel, apples, and everything sweet you can think of. I really love the coconut, chocolate chip and the regular chocolate. It's delicious. I love their cones. I haven't ever been to a Location and not like their ice cream. It is very filling and high in sugar, obviously it's ice cream but overall it's a nice treat once in a while especially in the summer. The workers were rude and they looked young.. these were the strawberries I got last night. I paid about $16 for FIVE strawberries. The strawberries were old and expired and soggy, the chocolate tasted expired as if they were left out overnight for 2 days and forgot to be put in the fridge. I have made chocolate covered strawberries before and you can tell that all of this was old, you have to make these at-least that morning of. It's upsetting when you enter a sweets store dreaming about all the good stuff but coming out of the store feeling bitter because of how you get treated.
