    The flaky dragon

This is a gem! We went here two days in a row for breakfast and it was amazing! The owners run the place and are front and center- taking orders, making coffee and bagging your goodies. Their helper was also very sweet, making our delicious breakfast sandwiches each morning. First the coffee- hand crafted specially for you, Anna asks about each step- how sweet? 1,2, or 3? Do you want to taste the coffee? Then she makes it just how you like it and two days in a row she hit the mark 100%. Second the breakfast sandwiches- build your own or try their suggested creations. You can't go wrong, thick cut crispy bacon, juicy ham, a béchamel sauce and the flaky sauce (garlic aoli!). All were very yummy especially on their house made flaky croissant or the giant buttermilk biscuit. Finally, the reason we came here- the sconut (angel trumpets sound and heavenly noises occur). Each day there is a new option along with the classics. My first bite of the mystery (chai latte) was amazing, sweet and salty, flaky yet moist. I'm not sure what kind of magical things are happening in the back but it was amazing. The O.G.- vanilla bean, equally as delicious with strong vanilla flavor a perfect pairing with coffee. Overall- this is a must visit location for anyone who likes good food, innovative food, and fun people.

I was in Atlanta for a conference and found this wonderful place because of a ribbon on a colleagues name badge. I was so impressed by the service and the food. I went in two days in a row. I was remembered! My order was remembered! The food was fantastic. I highly recommend anything lemon they have. If you are in the area, stop in. You won't be disappointed. Who knew I needed a sconut in my life.

A bit of a challenge to find. They are located in bridge level food court at Truist. Entering the Zen building lobby you'd assume you have wrong address but persistence pays off! Staff is super welcoming and entertaining and then the products live up to the hype. Returned three times (would have been more but building not open on weekends). First visit was mini croissant egg and pepperjack sandwich and lemon curd sconut. That brought me back Friday for redux and those plus a half dozen sconuts for colleagues back at the hotel (conference). PS they even have a little ribbon for your conference badge. I stayed one extra day to visit on Monday and a glitch in the sconut matrix caused them to pivot to this amazing glazed apple cinnamon turnover. The gods were looking out - it was even better!

Visited their new walk-up space in the Truist Plaza Food Court in downtown Atlanta. The food was SUPER yummy, I got a mixed berry crisp. OMG! The service was bright and cheery. Great experience all around.

Do they have gluten free options?

We have lots of gluten free options in our Chocolatarium. If you purchase bonbons, just specify ‘GF’ in the checkout notes. All the chocolate bars are GF except Yuzu Lime Cookie. If you are wondering about specific items just ask ;)

We saw some of the really cute things in the window, so we walked in and it did not disappoint. The place was filled with chocolates macaroons and a whole bunch of pastries. You could also order a whole variety of espresso drinks and lattes, etc. It even had a really cute seating area directly outside, but if you could fit yourself inside, there was some bar seating as well. The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. However, the two staff members who were here that day were very patient with us. We did walk away with macaroons a lemon meringue tart as well as a Canele. You know what it's in the pictures. I do not have a picture of that because it was eaten before I got a chance to take a picture of it. But everything was so tasty absolute perfection. I don't know who's making this stuff but they are truly talented. I have to come back here again when I'm in Buckhead Village.

The employee was sitting down behind the counter just ignoring everyone who came in so quite literally the store was not being monitored and a few other customers mentioned how it would be easy to take. I wanted some gummies and went over to their selection but you can tell it is not maintained. Lots of stale gummies and or empty bins. It was rather disappointing. Once I was ready I was at the counter for about 12 minutes and I kept looking at the employee to see if they would come over. Eventually I said excuse me and he got up very annoyed. Didn't even greet me, tons of attitude and mumbled my total so low I couldn't hear it and had to rely on the screen for my price. I said thank you and he just ignored me and went back to his seat to completely ignore the other customers. It is pretty unfortunate that this location has such awful service.

Lolli and Pops, a store that markets itself as a whimsical haven for candy lovers, has proven to be…read moreanything but sweet when it comes to basic customer service and inclusivity. My recent experience on a Sunday evening (5:22 PM, to be exact) was not just disappointing--it was a glaring example of systemic indifference and selective engagement that has no place in retail, let alone a family-friendly establishment. From the moment my excited little one walked in--freeing herself from her stroller with the innocent enthusiasm only a child can muster--to the moment she proudly selected her lollipop and approached the counter, not a single employee could muster a "Hello," "How are you?" or even a perfunctory "Did you find everything okay?" Instead, the interaction was reduced to a robotic price quote, dead silence, then back to their conversation. No warmth, no acknowledgment, no effort. If the staff's exhaustion at the end of a weekend shift was the issue, then management needs to reevaluate scheduling or hire employees who understand that customer service is the bare minimum in retail. What makes this experience even more egregious is that this wasn't an isolated incident. On multiple occasions, I've noticed a pattern--certain customers are greeted warmly, while others (particularly those who look like me) are met with cold indifference. A simple "Hello" should not be a privilege; it should be standard. If your staff lacks the emotional intelligence to treat all patrons with equal respect, then your establishment has failed at its most fundamental duty. The most heartbreaking part? Watching my little one's bright-eyed anticipation wither into confusion when her simple joy was met with blank stares. Children remember these moments. They internalize them. And while she may not fully grasp the nuances of poor service or discrimination, I do--and I refuse to spend my money in a place that allows such energy to thrive. In 2025, consumers have endless options--and even more platforms to voice their dissatisfaction. If your employees lack the personality (or basic decency) to engage with customers, they have no business working in retail. And if management turns a blind eye to discriminatory behavior, then they don't deserve patronage. To Lolli and Pops at Perimeter Mall: You've lost not just my future business, but the business of my network as well. My coins--and those of my vendors--will be spent elsewhere, with establishments that understand respect, inclusivity, and the bare minimum of hospitality. To Potential Customers: Spend wisely. Your money and your energy should go to businesses that value you--regardless of what you look like or what time you walk in. "A candy store that leaves a bitter taste."
