I am not the type to give praise easily, but I was absolutely floored by this experience. First off, it's family run and the entire family is fun to chat with, personable, and very willing to make menu recommendations. Monsieur Flaky - We came in late and they were out of croissants, but they offered it on a sourdough biscuit....my God. It actually makes me so mad that they are several states away from us. Georgia is so blessed to have them . This hit every savory note for me and was served piping hot with a biscuit that was crisp and lightly salted on the outside with the softest fluffiest composition inside. The second I bit into this I knew the sconut was going to wreck my life. Sconut - Yup. Devastated me. The cinnamon roll was hands down my favorite, but I'm willing to hop on a plane to try their lemon when it hits the shelves again. Typically, if a place floors you on a particular food item, they drop the ball on a side, dessert, or drink. That's not my rule it's just what traditionally happens. So I fully expected to take a few polite sips of matcha honey oat latte and grab something else later...so imagine my surprise when they rocked that too! Matcha based drinks are NOT easy to hit. They are very easy to slip up on and are somewhat dependent on how strong you like your matcha. Fortunately, they thought to ask us how strong we wanted our matcha and it was easily one of the best drinks I've ever had. I'm at a loss for constructive feedback. Words cannot begin to describe how ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL this place is! Starting with the game of "Where's Waldo" that you get to play to find the place, tucked away in the corner on the 2nd floor of the building, to the last bite, Flaky Not Flaky blew away my expectations! Anna and Miguel have created incredible flavours that, much like most 80's movies, you have to experience for yourself to be able to fully appreciate them, but trust me, it is well worth it! Your mouth will thank me later. You can tell how much Anna and Miguel love what they do as it shows in every aspect of Flaky Not Flaky. From the moment I walked up Anna was extremely friendly and chatty and right before I was about to leave Miguel told me about another fun activity to do in Atlanta. It's unfortunate that I can only give this place 5 stars because they easily deserve more. My biggest regret is not finding this place earlier in my trip, and that I don't have more time to come back again. read more

As a Dragon Con attendee, I want to give a huge shout out to Flaky Not Flaky! Staff was so friendly and fun (Hopper from Stranger Things took our order). They were hustling and getting it done for us hungry and thirsty con goers. My husband and I only had coffees so we can't review the food (pastries looked delicious, though!). Our cold brew coffee and brown sugar lattes were crafted just right, though. Special thanks to the barista for asking me specifics about how I wanted my latte. This is a gem! We went here two days in a row for breakfast and it was amazing! The owners run the place and are front and center- taking orders, making coffee and bagging your goodies. Their helper was also very sweet, making our delicious breakfast sandwiches each morning. First the coffee- hand crafted specially for you, Anna asks about each step- how sweet? 1,2, or 3? Do you want to taste the coffee? Then she makes it just how you like it and two days in a row she hit the mark 100%. Second the breakfast sandwiches- build your own or try their suggested creations. You can't go wrong, thick cut crispy bacon, juicy ham, a béchamel sauce and the flaky sauce (garlic aoli!). All were very yummy especially on their house made flaky croissant or the giant buttermilk biscuit. Finally, the reason we came here- the sconut (angel trumpets sound and heavenly noises occur). Each day there is a new option along with the classics. My first bite of the mystery (chai latte) was amazing, sweet and salty, flaky yet moist. I'm not sure what kind of magical things are happening in the back but it was amazing. The O.G.- vanilla bean, equally as delicious with strong vanilla flavor a perfect pairing with coffee. Overall- this is a must visit location for anyone who likes good food, innovative food, and fun people. read more

Heaven in a sconut- I tried the mystery flavor and it was divine! The scone was generously sized, but was light and didn't feel heavy! Perfection!!! They are located one floor above the Truist Plaza parking in the bridge level food court. I parked here, but I still wandered outside for a bit before finding them. A bit of a challenge to find. They are located in bridge level food court at Truist. Entering the Zen building lobby you'd assume you have wrong address but persistence pays off! Staff is super welcoming and entertaining and then the products live up to the hype. Returned three times (would have been more but building not open on weekends). First visit was mini croissant egg and pepperjack sandwich and lemon curd sconut. That brought me back Friday for redux and those plus a half dozen sconuts for colleagues back at the hotel (conference). PS they even have a little ribbon for your conference badge. I stayed one extra day to visit on Monday and a glitch in the sconut matrix caused them to pivot to this amazing glazed apple cinnamon turnover. The texture was magnificent - totally in between a donut and a scone. More cakey than fluffy, very dense. The flavors were PHENOMENAL! The service is always great! Their recommendations are always on point. The Mr. Crispy sandwich is 2 meals for me. They also make a caprese sandwich which is great if you're eating healthy. I've had almost all of the sconuts. One morning I went down to get a sconut and they had been raided by a conference going on in one of the hotels. Call me disappointed. read more

I tried the sconut for the first time at the Atlanta Christkindl Market. It was AMAZING! I picked the blueberry buttermilk pancake sconut based on the recommendation of the server and he was so right. I would say the atmosphere made it taste better but I saved it until I got home. P.S. This was such a delight. We enjoyed three different sconuts ( a cross between a donut and a scone). We enjoyed the tropical, banana nut and the glazed. They were so good !! So much yum!! Seriously awesome baked goods and chocolates, incredibly creative, and up for any challenge! Many friends got stuff over the holidays and hoping they'll review as well, but I can personally say I've loved everything I've tried from Flaky Not Flaky! I keep seeing new pics of the sconuts (scone meets doughnut) on social and can't wait to try them!
