Serviceable small coffee shop with food, pastries, coffee and tea. Polite and kind staff. The avocados veggie sandwich was decent, appreciate the peppers were cooked fresh, wish the bagel was warmer. The booth seating was a bit tight and the cushions were worn out unfortunately .

One of the best coffee spots for any GSU students. It's on the outer edge of campus and has a little bit of seating. The staff is very friendly and has great vibes. The coffee is worth the wait as they take their time between orders. It's a small shop so be appreciative for them!

Such a cute cafe! I was looking for a place to work for a few hours prior to a special event and landed on Cafe Lucia. It's a small coffee shop with comfortable seating and it was far roomier than expected. When I first arrived there was only couch seating available and although I was dreaming of a table, I took the spot that I could and kept pushing. Once I got comfy I decided to place my order and get to work. The register/prep area was super cute and covered in art and stickers. The menu was clearly displayed and they even had a special board highlighting the seasonal specials. I rarely drink coffee these days and was happy to see their line up tea options for any future visits. There were so many great options! I began with an iced coffee (because it was so hot outside!) and a turkey pesto sandwich on a croissant + bacon. I don't like to be dramatic (jk) but this was a top 10 sandwich. The bread was incredible, there was tons of bacon and turkey, and it was just incredibly flavorful. My coffee was smooth and not incredibly sweet, just what I needed to kickstart my tasks. The team was also quite wonderful! It was a chill day in there but they were patient, helpful when I had questions about the menu and my order was fantastic. Once I got my coffee, a table became available and I quickly snatched it up and got comfy as I waited on my sandwich. I loved that there were outlets all over, including a few under my table. Wifi was strong and easy to access, essential for remote work. The only bummer about this cafe is the bathroom situation. The experience with the cafe was 5-stars but the restrooms had me hesitate just a bit when rating, but they can't help the layout of that building! Note that Cafe Lucia is housed in is an amazing historical building that was opened in 1914. So to expect them to have an ensuite bathroom may have been silly on my part, lol. But when I did find myself needing to go, the team member at the front gave me the key and directions to find the ladies room. They even watched my items for me while I went. Now, I did not expect the journey that laid in front of me, lol. I wish I would have listened closer to the directions, but they seemed so simple! (Spoiler alert: They were not.) I got down the stairs as instructed but from there, it was my best guess. The area was a garage-like vibe but there were 3 or 4 people sitting down there talking or resting, so at least it wasn't terribly creepy. Would I spend more than 10 minutes down there alone? Absolutely not. After looking goofy and lost for another minute or so, I stumbled upon the bathroom and saw it had a locked door and figured I was in the right place. It was pretty clean despite being in the dungeon, lol. Seriously a wonderful experience all around and next time I'll know how to find the bathroom. ;-)

Really cute spot with such a cozy, welcoming vibe. The coffee was delicious, but what really stood out was the customer service. I'm very particular about sweetness and usually get frustrated when I ask for less sweet and it still comes out sugary. Not here. The barista actually listened, he added 1.5 pumps, had me taste it before I even left, and made sure it was exactly how I wanted it. That level of care is rare and so appreciated. Great coffee, great atmosphere, and top-tier service. I'll definitely be back! read more

Ordered iced strawberry white matcha latte - with my own metal lined tumbler. Requested less sweet. Not sure if it's thr coffee or my mug or what - but there's an acid bitter aftertaste that I don't like. Service is good. Super friendly man working the counter. Small cozy place. Air circulation inside the cafe is not great. The whole place smells like fryer. The outside stinks as well - blame it on the downtown location read more

Yikes! Walked in to Lucia, to find the manager and two newly former employees having a confrontation. Two newly hired employees were put in an awkward position. I just wanted an Americano and a bagel. Newly hired employee was not aware how to make it, so manager in between confrontation tells him to mix, what was an already pull shot w hot water. I passed on the bagel. Post confrontation manager has walked in and out of Lucia multiple times(smoke and beverage breaks), leaving the newly hired guys to seemingly fend for themselves. Both said it was their first day. A movie! read more

Stopped by for breakfast as they had a variety of hot breakfast options and interesting seasonal drinks online. I ordered the 3 egg and bacon plate which also came with toast and butter. It was fine - like something I'd make at home with cheap wheat bread. My pumpkin spice latte was also a bit sour and burnt with not much psl flavor. I met a friend here for coffee. It was, uh, perfectly adequate. Bless these folks for keeping a coffee shop open in an area that is short of coffee shop. But this place could use a good scrubbing. Then a coat of paint. The coffee was perfectly fine. read more

The owner is a rich dude with a lot of money who doesn't care about what comes and goes. As long as he makes a profit. He sells sells sells, but is lazy about his inventory. And the maintenance of the building is weird. It's a crap shot when it's gonna be open. Not sure if I like coming here anymore. The vibes are not the same. Food and coffee are good which is why I gave it 2 stars, when he has inventory that is. Which is hardly. You'd think during a time like World Cup he'd invest into the business as to not leave people without the items they need. Instead he just throws money at it when he wants. read more

I showed up and despite what was on the menu through Yelp, this site does *NOT* have any specialty drinks. I asked for the Black Forest latte and the guy looked through notebook for about 3 seconds and said he didn't know how to make it and the midtown location was the only one with speciality drinks. ..... okay ... can I get a mocha with peppermint added and one of your apple fritters "the apple fritters usually are pretty stale by this time of day" ..... okay, well, just the coffee then .... Then he makes me a small coffee at which point I realized I was never asked about size. If you're assuming a size, why would you assume a small?? The coffee was decently good I guess. But I absolutely will not be back. This was not a good experience at all read more

Spectacular little gem we ran across walking from the Marriott Marquis to the State Capitol building. Coffee was solid and breakfast sandwiches were on point. There was ONE guy working and he was quiet, but friendly and he was obviously working hard to bang everything out in a timely manner. I really enjoyed the old-school ambiance and the clean environment. It is so cozy in there; a nice and cool retreat from the hot June morning. Great music playing. Rarely downtown - on foot - I decided to stop by Cafe Lucia while I had time to spare on my parking. I absolutely loved the quaint homey setup inside with booth and lounge seating. Cafe Lucia has its own private entrance with beautiful on-brand window decor as well as a separate entrance attached to a larger building with other businesses (and access to a restroom). Shayla and Claire were nothing short of amazing! They both provided amazing service from check-out to the product itself. The day and time I visited last week, they weren't serving sandwiches but the coffee was great! I got my typical Hot Caramel Latte with Oat Milk -- really enjoyed the flavor - just a hint of sweetness so I could really taste the espresso bean. I'll definitely be back to try the sandwiches!! read more

Wanted to like Cafe Lucia as it has a great small coffee shop vibe. The interior was charming and the staff super friendly, but unfortunately it just missed the mark on the actual quality of food/drink. The breakfast bagel was basic to say the least and was just felt like it lacked overall quality of ingredient (i.e., what i would buy on clearance at a grocery store at whip together before running to work). Coffee wise i was also disappointed. I asked if they could make a cortado (to which the staff enthusiastically said yes) and I was given the what tasted like a single shot espresso in a full glass of milk. read more

Go only for coffee, not sandwiches. Second time I went there and wasn't able to get food. Why sell it if you never have stock? Not only was service slow, This time I waited in line for 15 minutes for them to say they are not serving sandwiches. Complete waste of time. Won't return read more

Service was very friendly! Plenty of outlets under the table in case you need to charge up. Sandwich was very fast and surprisingly good. I had to take off a star because there was a heavy smoky smell (like from burning food). I actually had to take a shower and change afterwards because the smoky smell was sticking to my hair and clothes! read more

I came here for a quick breakfast after a nice run through Piedmont Park. The cafe is spacious, clean, quiet, and has a cool theme on the inside. I also love how they were streaming SpongeBob on the TV or selling Jell-O shots The Garden sandwich was absolutely delicious! The hazelnut latte was cozy, perfect for a chilly autumn day! The service was quick, the staff are friendly and helpful. I love the vibes in that you feel at ease and not rushing to get to the next thing, instead you are enjoying your coffee one sip at a time read more

Such a great atmosphere for people wanting a safe space to study or just enjoy a coffee/smoothie. Next time I visit, this will be the FIRST place I come back to get a coffee at. Staff was friendly for being busy, and quick workers, as it took maybe 3 minutes for my muffin, coffee, and friend's smoothie to come out. Affordable prices. I highly recommend this place to go for a good cup of coffee in downtown. I really think that they have some pretty good flavors here and also very addicting coffee as well. I wish I had of asked grabbed a coffee bag to take back with me to L.A. but there's always a next time. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

The barista here just made me one of the BEST lattes of my life: oat milk, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and brown sugar. I'm in heaven!!!! This gem is located in a cute nook of the city on Georgia State's campus. The inside is intimate with lounge seating and tables for studying. There's even a little free library. I insist you go and meet the friendly baristas and try a latte too :) read more

If you get lucky and get a seat here the vibe is probably exactly what you're seeking. During my most recent visit, they were nearly sold out of several bagel options, including my usual classic bagel. I was disappointed because I had my mind set on my regular order, but one of the employees went out of his way to accommodate me. He offered to use a salted bagel and remove the salt so I could still enjoy my sandwich as close to my usual order as possible. I really appreciated his willingness to help rather than simply telling me they were out. The service has always been friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Even when they are busy or running low on inventory, the staff still makes an effort to take care of their customers. It may have taken me four years to finally stop in, but Emerald City Bagels has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. He told me, "that's just a weird way to order it," which honestly felt unnecessary. The bagel itself was huge and heavy with a thick shmear of cream cheese. The lox tasted good, although I wish it was layered in slices instead of smaller pieces. Still, it came pretty close to that NY bagel taste I was hoping for. The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. This was weird to us because the food shoud be warm at the very least, so customer service was lacking there but they did honor her request. If they are going to keep this cafeteria line style setup, we all thought the meats and entrees should be first and then sides so as to avoid having lukewarm or cold sides because all four of us had cold sides by the time we sat down after getting get our drinks and sauces and stuff. And sides should come out together with the special orders so the food is not cold. But hey, I know I'm not Lewis, but yall got my two cents anyway Overall, we had delicious food in a nice, clean establishment. And on the plus side, the Beltline is literally a few steps away!

Cafe Lucia is a gem of a coffee shop, and my two years of patronage have only solidified my love for this place. One of the standout features is undoubtedly the amazing staff, particularly Audrey, whose passion for crafting delicious food and beverages shines through in every interaction. Was in town for work and needed a nice place to work quietly for work while enjoying a nice cup of coffee. This place was only a few minute walk and it was a cool little gem. This cozy little cafe was amazing. I got a pistachio honey americano, which was amazing. I also got the harrison breakfast sandwich was great. Music was not too loud you couldn't work or take a zoom call. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful answering my million questions. Got to check this place out. Try one of their speciality drinks. The huge bonus is, when getting mixed coffee drinks they tend to be barely hot. This is the first place that I have not had to ask to make their coffee extra hot. read more

I went to Cafe Lucia in Downtown Atlanta with a friend for a quick breakfast, and I loved the cozy, intimate vibe even though the space is a little tight. The wall art gives it such a cute aesthetic, and it's walking distance from pretty much everything, so I was able to walk there from my apartment! For those driving, street parking may have fees, but there are spots nearby. The staff were friendly and made the visit really pleasant. It's a great spot for a casual breakfast, coffee, or a little break in the day, and I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Cafe Lucia, formerly one caffe from the flat iron building. The new location is SO much better. Inside is much larger and has more seats. GREAT coffee, VERY NICE baristas!! I would definitely recommend this place. Try their chai latte and specialty coffees. It is definitely a must :) GSU students get discounts too! read more
