The place itself is cute and has a nice vibe. The menu has several solid options, and we tried the salmon patties meal (Uncle Bob's), a couple of chicken biscuits, and a waffle. Honestly, I went in with high expectations based on the name, but the food was fairly average. I expected the biscuit to really stand out, but it was just a standard biscuit--nothing particularly memorable or "wow." We had plans at a specific time somewhere else nearby, so we decided on placing an order to go. The process was easy enough, but I have to mention that the to-go ordering screen was filthy! Once we got our food, we weren't blown away like we'd expected to be. I ordered an egg and cheese biscuit with chicken sausage, while the two who were with me ordered hot honey fried chicken biscuits. We didn't take any pictures, but the biscuits were much drier and more crumbly than we anticipated considering all the hype surrounding them. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but we sat inside. The service was a bit slow, but Joy, our server, was apologetic for the wait. We knew she was covering quite a few tables, so we went ahead and ordered everything on our first encounter. As we waited for our meals we looked around at the decor and were later informed that it was black owned, which we assumed, and some of the pictures on the wall were of the owner's family which was cool. Food arrived and everything looked good. Biscuit was the first thing to catch my eye and I'm 99% sure they're homemade which made even more sense once you tasted it. Everyone enjoyed their food, my omelet was ok. They could've added more flavor, peppers and onions. I should've gotten Uncle Bobby's breakfast bc those salmon patties were good. A lovely local find known for their biscuits, but everything was good! I had the chicken biscuit (delish and enough for an entire meal by itself) plus some breakfast standbys. They have a limited cocktail selection, their take on the paloma was refreshing for a hot spring afternoon. Nice friendly staff, quick service. Keep in mind they close relatively early. The Freedom Park Trail runs immediately behind the restaurant, which is a great way to walk off your decadent breakfast. Heads up dog owners. A couple of the features of Bomb Biscuit Atlanta here on Yelp is "dog friendly" and "outside seating". So we made a reservation online and took our small (15lb) dog with us, expecting to sit outside. There are a couple small tables out front and a few large picnic tables on the side. However, the staff told us only service dogs are allowed and seemed to not know their dog policy. We asked to sit at any of the outside tables, but finally they sat us in the covered patio area in the back. The service was friendly and fast. The food was ok. I say that because I judge food based on if I could easily duplicate it at home. The top of the biscuit was a little hard though. The waffle was a bit dense, but flavored well. The potatoes weren't crispy at all. The bacon was delicious. The customer service was exceptional.
