Catfish and Grits
Damion W.

The catfish was the highlight of the dish. The grits were great as well. The only thing that I would recommend is when you order to go, get the fish separate from the grits and when you when you're ready to eat then you combine it. Even though mine didn't come separate, the fish was still crispy and the food was delicious. Highly recommended!

The BEIGNETS are SO GOOD. They are so flaky and sweet and melted in my mouth. I ate 3... The waitress recommended the catfish and grits, and I confirm it was very tasty, especially the sauce it comes with. I ate the whole thing in one sitting, and I generally try not to do that.... My friend got the crab cake benedict on a biscuit, and that biscuit was incredibly soft. I tried a bit, and I really enjoyed it. The prices are a little luxurious for its casual vibe, but the food definitely carries. The waitresses were sweet even though it was busy (we went on a Sunday midday). Would absolutely be back for those beignets and catfish and grits.

Gritz & Eggs was pretty good. I ordered the eggs Benedict and apparently the chef was struggling to make the poached egg so they asked if over easy was okay. I said yes and it was still good with that style. They have a cute outdoor eating area and plenty to pick from on the menu. The staff were also very friendly.

Came back again like I said I would and same thing! I got different food this time, Egg Florentine & of course an order of Beignets. The service was amazing, the food was still fire, the drinks were fire. My friends had teas and a white chocolate espresso martini . It was quiet because it was snowing outside so everything was in a reasonable time, clean and the news so we knew when it was time to go home per the weather station!

The Biscuit and Gravy is a must have!!! Trust me! I love the vibe here, delicious food, welcoming staff and great service! It's a place where you can bring Nana & girl girlfriends, the kids, your homies and a date!

I visited the Summerhill location of Grits & Eggs Breakfast with my family over Mother's Day weekend, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. We were a party of five, and I appreciated being able to join the waitlist online through the restaurant's website. Because of that, we were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server, Jivon, was amazing. I believe it was her first day, but you honestly wouldn't know it--she handled our table with grace, confidence, and a welcoming attitude like she'd been there for years. Her attentiveness and kindness set the tone for the meal. I've been to the original location in Cumberland and have ordered through DoorDash before, and I've never been disappointed. This visit was no exception. Our table went all out with the food: *Chicken and waffles *Steak with various sides *Red snapper and grits *Classic grits and eggs breakfast I personally ordered a French 75, hot chocolate, banana pudding cheesecake, and a slice of chocolate cake to go. Everything was amazing. The chicken wing on the waffle plate was fried to golden perfection--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. The waffle had the perfect balance of crunch and softness. Every bite was satisfying. The food was delicious, the service was top-tier, and the vibe of the Summerhill location was inviting and well-run. Whether you're looking for a solid brunch with friends or a cozy family breakfast, this spot is a must-visit.

Beignets

Popped in for breakfast before a Dr appointment at Emory. The food was phenomenal and service was fast. The jerk shrimp and grits were yummy and a decent portion. The beignet for definitely the stars of the show, crisp warm and gooey! Absolutely delicious. The vibe was bright and airy, does smell like food that's to be expected . All in all great affordable breakfast spot I will return too.

We tried this spot for the first time today (Door Dash) I ordered the fried chicken &honey biscuit sandwich with home fries The biscuit was warm, buttery and soft. The taste of the biscuit was amazing; however the fried chicken breast on the biscuit was extremely overcooked and unseasoned. The scrambled cheese egg on the biscuit was good as well. I was able to remove the chicken and have a meal with the biscuit and egg. 7.5/10 Home fries were a little hard 8/10 Wife's order: French toast & eggs w 3 fried chicken wings French toast: 10/10 (without syrup, it was missing from order) Eggs & grits: 9/10 little salt and pepper needed. Fried chicken wings (9/10 since it traveled a little) We wanted to try the Fried Salmon & Grits also. The salmon and/or the sauce was spicy but lacked any flavor along with the grits. 7/10 I'd definitely support the business and give them another try with dining in.

Catfish and grits, side of eggs, beignets, peach mimosa. Everything is SO GOOD!

This is my first time here, I'm visiting Atlanta for the Beyoncé concert Everything I've had so far has been delicious! I started with the beignets, they were very fluffy and soft, with a nice crunchy exterior. The catfish and grits was the popular item on the menu, and I can definitely see why. It's very, very tasty. I added a side of eggs which are good, and this peach mimosa is honestly one of the best peach mimosas I've had. It taste like the champagne itself is peach, versus a regular Prosecco with peach flavoring added to it. I'm very happy I chose this place. The ambience is chill, I came on a Friday morning, not many people at all. I did the waitlist, but there was no wait at all when I walked in. The service is good as well, the waitress was kind and pleasant, as well as the host staff. I love that this is a Black-owned restaurant and it seems to be run very well. I try to get fixed before I started eating but the food looks so good, I'm not waiting on y'all lol.

We had to make a decision quickly when we were pivoting, and when we came across the great reviews and photos of the food. we didn't think twice about checking to see if we could make it happen. When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

Title: Flavor Explosion, Soulful Hospitality & a Last-Minute Meal That Turned Magical…read more Let me just say this: what started as a "quick bite before closing" turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We arrived at The Poach Social about 20 minutes before closing, unsure if we'd be rushed--but instead, we were welcomed with warmth and ease. Lived the ambiance. Hunter, our server, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel taken care of from the very start. Then came Victor, the owner and chef--and this is where things shifted from good to special. Without us even asking, he recommended a mocktail that felt like it was made just for me: a sorrel-based drink layered with ginger, spice, herbs, and fresh fruit. It was refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've had. We started with the jerk egg rolls... and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were clapping after the first bite. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, with a sweet-spicy sauce that just worked. We immediately knew we'd be taking more to go. For the main course, we ordered the Poach Social breakfast plate and the blackened salmon with polenta. The breakfast plate was comforting and well-executed, but the salmon dish? Absolutely unforgettable. Perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with creamy polenta and a rich sauce that brought everything together. It was a full-on flavor experience. The timing of everything--from drinks to apps to entrées--was seamless. Hunter checked in at the perfect moments, never too much, never too little. We ended up in a lovely conversation with Victor, who is not only talented but genuinely kind and passionate. He brought us complimentary slices of carrot cake, and even though we were already full... we ate every bite. No regrets. It was phenomenal. What I loved most is that this place doesn't just serve food--it creates an experience. There's intention, care, and heart behind everything. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves to thrive. We will absolutely be back.

Typically I research and take a peek at the menu, photos, etc. but I didn't this time. Peters Street has ample street parking and a few lots for a fee. Just check the signs before you leave your car. Everyone's meal looked amazing and not a crumb was left. We left with some of the canned whiskey drinks - Strawberry Whiskey Sour and Kentucky Mule made with bourbon. Josh said best enjoyed mixed together! The photo opps, food, drinks and aesthetics are so good here. That said, the aesthetic feels less Buckingham Palace and more whimsical London antique shop -- charming & eclectic. I ordered the blueberry lavender matcha and a breakfast plate. The menu names were definitely on brand, but not quite catchy enough for me to remember them later. Both were solid, though, and hit the spot. Service was a highlight. The cashier really leaned into the accent and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, which made the whole experience feel more immersive and welcoming. Parking was easy on an early weekday afternoon -- always a win. The space works well for small parties, but be prepared: tables are small and seating is close together. One tip: avoid sitting upstairs in Eden. It's noticeably warmer than the rest of the restaurant, and you'll likely leave smelling like breakfast. Overall, a fun, themed spot with great service. But I don't think I'll be back.
