GA Honey Hot Southern Fried Chicken Chicken and Cinnabon Waffles
Dee-Dee W.

I'm honestly not sure how to feel about this place. I didn't hate it but I didn't fall in love with it either. I'd be willing to try it again but maybe something else. The inside is really small. It does have a bar top tho which is good to know. My friend and I got there a few minutes apart. They will not seat you if everyone hasn't shown up for your reservation, including just two guests. I'm a beer drinker but they don't have any beer or anything comparable. So I was adventurous and tried a Moscow mule thinking that would be alright. I was very wrong. The average mule has vodka and ginger. This one had bourbon and I could barely taste the ginger. I told the server I didn't like it and he informed me they can't take liquor back, so I'd still have to pay for it. I said that's fine but I can't get that drink down. He suggested I have it cut. So I agreed to that. It still wasn't for me but I was able to get it down now at least. I got the GA hot honey chicken but got the catfish instead of chicken. I also subbed the greens for macaroni. What I didn't know was there was a $5 charge to sub out the greens for macaroni. Had I known, I would've just added the macaroni since I was paying extra anyways. I was told the greens have stems and I personally don't care for stems in my greens when dining out because sometimes it's too much stems and not enough greens. The catfish was fried well and fresh but lacked seasoning for my personal taste. The macaroni was AMAZING. No complaints there. The sweet potatoes weren't cooked long enough. They needed another 20-30 minutes on the stove. The flavor was there but they weren't tender enough. I'm not sure if they're made like that regularly or just when I came. My friend got chicken and waffles. She enjoyed the wings and waffle very much. She also got the gumbo which she said was good but it was a little runny and came in a very small cup. All bills include a 18% gratuity. I think it's 20% for six people and up. Would I try it again? Maybe. Do I need to try it again? No.

So first be ready for a wait because it's worth it. We waited 35 minutes for 2. We came from the other location where the wait was an hour! The ambiance is loud but has great music (2000s hits). The food was IMMACULATE!!! Many props to the assembly line of cooks preparing high class, delicious, perfectly cooked meals. We had the Brussels sprouts for a starter, with mimosas. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mimosas had eight flavors to choose from. Our entrees were the short rib skillet, one with scrambled eggs and one with over easy. We added strawberry and plain French toast. The amount of food was amazing. Every bite was delicious. Our server was named VIDAL and he was ON POINT! I will say the young woman at the door with the sweat pants on should probably work somewhere else. Other than that WE WILL BE BACK.

Upon arriving at the restaurant I was a little skeptical due to the heavy smell of fabuloso... When I enter a restaurant I want to smell food not cleaning products... However I was pleasantly surprised my food was fresh and delicious... Service was attentive and fast... Restaurant was clean per smell for sure!!!

I came in from out of town to visit and this place was highly recommended I can see why!! Food- 10/10 everything was so good, cooked to perfection, flavorful I was so pleased with everything! I ordered the GA Honey hot fried chicken and it tasted amazing. I also got an alcoholic beverage I forget the name but it was good and it packed a punch Service - waitress 10/10, very friendly and fast, great service! Ambiance- it's very cute inside everything looks new and aesthetically pleasing, plenty of seating they have booths and then tables in the middle, and a long bar for bar seating. It was busy when we went I didn't make reservations and was lucky enough to be seated right away but I did notice a line on my way out so make reservations or head there early!

We visited this spot for a birthday dinner and overall had a decent experience. The hostess was friendly, and we were seated promptly once our entire party had arrived, thanks to our reservation. Our server was pleasant, and the food was served fairly quickly after we ordered. The music was kept at a comfortably low volume, making it easy to have a conversation. However, the drink prices were noticeably high compared to similar restaurants, which was a bit disappointing. Also, be aware that an automatic 18% gratuity is added to all checks. The food is good but for the price, I'd recommend a more fine dining experience.

I did not like their seating policy and their back room feels like being seated in a closet and it gets extremely loud when it's full of people conversing plus the loud music. It's a lot. On to the food... I tired their catfish and grits and added grilled shrimp for an additional $10. The grilled shrimp was delicious and so was their Biscoff French toast. I'm still dreaming about their French toast!

Food , service, ambiance 10/10. A reservation is absolutely needed if you want to go on the wkend. There was a line outside for Sunday brunch. Tues and Wednesdays are slower nights . Everything was absolutely delicious. Everything being grits, French toast, potatoes, eggs and wings which were all seasoned to perfection. The gumbo was tastey but also a bit salty for my liking. While I didn't have an alcoholic beverage this time around, everything that came out looked amazing. I would for sure come back and recommend to others

This place is very popular and trendy. The reservations get booked fast, but it is a smaller space so it makes sense. It's a casual yet chic spot that's perfect for brunch dates or get togethers. We ordered the short rib skillet and the hot honey chicken and both were really good! The service was great.

I'm not much of a big breakfast person. Toast is on everyone's list and if you've been following reviews for a while you know that can be a mixed bag. Toast is one of the few places that met expectations and exceeded them. Everything was well flavored and cooked perfectly. The service was quick and I was never left lacking for anything. Parking is...well, it's Atlanta. Valet is up the street and costs $10. All in all though, I'd come back here. The food was tasty and that's the important thing

Decided to try Toast for the first time since moving to ATL. I've heard rumors about the parking situation, so we decided to valet at their lot which is not located adjacent to the building, but a bit up the street. It was $11 if you had cash, $13 with card. Valet was very nice. We made reservations and were seated promptly. Our host was very nice and not overbearing. The vibe was very decorative inside. Everyone was very welcoming. Food: I decided to order the short rib skillet and my partner ordered wings, yams, and greens. We did not order drinks because they were quite expensive... more expensive than most places. The skillet I ordered was only okay for it being $26. It was very salty and the "short rib" looked more like small chunks of meat. I probably could have counted the number of bits that came with my skillet. My partners food was better, taste wise. For the price point of $28, it is debatable. Overall, my experience was okay. I probably would not come back again, unless it was for a girls brunch. This place was cute, but definitely overhyped.

A forever must when I travel to ATL. Even if I can't make it in, I'll always order it. I got the catfish and grits with shrimp and the strawberry shortcake waffle. Both were to die for and was the best part of my morning. Got back home and wanted to travel back to ATL just for more.

I love me some Toast. They are one of the rare places in ATL that are actually worth the hype. The parking is great if you're there early and if not they offer valet. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is very efficient (Not somewhere to come if you wanna lounge because you will feel rushed). They also have a dress code and predetermined tip percentage (I agree with the rumors about how they only enforce the rules with certain people). I always get the French toast and it's always enough for two. I don't like placing to go orders though. The portions will be different with the to go options so I only eat here if I know I can sit down.l for a while.

We had to make a decision quickly when we were pivoting, and when we came across the great reviews and photos of the food. we didn't think twice about checking to see if we could make it happen. When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

Title: Flavor Explosion, Soulful Hospitality & a Last-Minute Meal That Turned Magical…read more Let me just say this: what started as a "quick bite before closing" turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We arrived at The Poach Social about 20 minutes before closing, unsure if we'd be rushed--but instead, we were welcomed with warmth and ease. Lived the ambiance. Hunter, our server, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel taken care of from the very start. Then came Victor, the owner and chef--and this is where things shifted from good to special. Without us even asking, he recommended a mocktail that felt like it was made just for me: a sorrel-based drink layered with ginger, spice, herbs, and fresh fruit. It was refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've had. We started with the jerk egg rolls... and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were clapping after the first bite. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, with a sweet-spicy sauce that just worked. We immediately knew we'd be taking more to go. For the main course, we ordered the Poach Social breakfast plate and the blackened salmon with polenta. The breakfast plate was comforting and well-executed, but the salmon dish? Absolutely unforgettable. Perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with creamy polenta and a rich sauce that brought everything together. It was a full-on flavor experience. The timing of everything--from drinks to apps to entrées--was seamless. Hunter checked in at the perfect moments, never too much, never too little. We ended up in a lovely conversation with Victor, who is not only talented but genuinely kind and passionate. He brought us complimentary slices of carrot cake, and even though we were already full... we ate every bite. No regrets. It was phenomenal. What I loved most is that this place doesn't just serve food--it creates an experience. There's intention, care, and heart behind everything. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves to thrive. We will absolutely be back.

That said, the aesthetic feels less Buckingham Palace and more whimsical London antique shop -- charming & eclectic. I ordered the blueberry lavender matcha and a breakfast plate. The cashier really leaned into the accent and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, which made the whole experience feel more immersive and welcoming. Parking was easy on an early weekday afternoon -- always a win. The space works well for small parties, but be prepared: tables are small and seating is close together. One tip: avoid sitting upstairs in Eden. It's noticeably warmer than the rest of the restaurant, and you'll likely leave smelling like breakfast. Overall, a fun, themed spot with great service.
