Excellent breakfast

Sautee Trail Cafe has great food, great prices! Love corned beef hash, so my waitress customized my breakfast meal, the hash was nice and crispy, perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, and homemade biscuit! Will definitely be back!

Stopped after church on Sunday to have breakfast. I had the three egg breakfast and they did not charge a SURCHARGE for the Eggs like Waffle House/Huddle House. Eggs were cooked correctly, country ham was very good and the toast was very good also. Coffee was nice and hot and fresh. My waitress did a wonderful job and the place stayed busy the whole time I was there. Will come back again during the week to check it out. Keep up the great work.

Weak coffee

Overall a good breakfast and a good value. Eggs cooked perfectly as requested Grits Ok weak flavor Bacon good Sausage good but dripping grease Country Ham was country ham Pancake Good but cold Syrup Good but served cold Coffee Very weak

Service was 10/10! Food was 20/10! Oh my gosh I'm just sad that we are in town visiting and this can't be our new brekky spot every week! I really didn't think I'd be able to finish my omelette but it was so good, I couldn't stop! Thank you for putting love into your food!

There's a funny Filipino saying; "Breakfast is last night's dinner leftovers with a fried egg." This kind of reminds me of that. This is Todd's Taters: ground beef, onions, peppers, potatoes, cheese, and a dash of hot sauce. This could have been last night's delicious meatloaf dinner turned satisfying breakfast with the addition of two over-easy eggs. A definite recommend.

A nice place to eat in the local area This is a restaurant that is located about 6 miles to the southeast of Helen on the north side of 17/255. It is a stand-alone building that was not difficult to find. It seems like a local's choice to me. It looks to be a converted house with a large gravel parking lot and lots of parking both in the front and the back. There is a porch with a front door that is the entrance directly in the center. You enter directly into the main room with wooden, floors and ceilings. There were about 9 4-person tables in the main room and additional seating both outside on the porch and in an adjacent room. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Even though it was pretty busy the waitress came out quickly and took my drink and food order. I ordered French toast and bacon. It came out quickly on plastic plates and real silverware. It tasted quite good and the price was reasonable. You pay at a counter in front of the kitchen to the right as you enter the main room. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend this to my fellow travelers in the local area.

Look at all the plastic plates and styrofoam cups, all going in the trash, just Vile!!!

Got the sampler with a side of gravy for breakfast. It was fantastic. Everything was top notch and I can't wait to go back.

Home style breakfast. Food was great and very quick and attentive service. We drove 15 miles off our path and was worth it.

The food was amazing. I got the bacon cheese burger and fries. Both were the best I've had in a while. Do not pass this gem up!

After a girl's night in Helen for Oktoberfest, we were looking for a place to have a *late* breakfast.

You walk in, grab a tray, and you've got options. You can go through the hot bar and get served right there, pay, and be on your way... or order off the menu, sit down, and they'll bring the food to you. Very simple and efficient. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating, and there's also outdoor seating if you want it. Parking is easy too, which is a big plus, especially compared to the chaos you'll run into closer to Helen. Food wise, I always judge breakfast spots by the chicken, egg, and cheese biscuit... and this one held up. The chicken was tender, the biscuit was soft and fresh, and overall it was a solid start. The surprise for me was the hashbrown casserole. It came out good, but once I added a little salt, the flavor really popped. Definitely worth getting. The pancakes were also done right... nice crispy edges with a soft, fluffy inside. That's exactly how pancakes should be. Menu wise, they've got everything you'd expect from a Southern breakfast spot... biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, country ham, pancakes, omelets, and even lunch style items like burgers and plate meals if you come later. They also have a Coca-Cola fountain, which is always a win. Service was friendly, especially for early morning, and the whole place just has that comfortable, old-school home cooking feel. There is also a drive thru if you don't feel like leaving your car. Overall, this is a great spot if you want a good breakfast without the crowds. Simple, tasty, and easy.
